Did you see that October 6 marked 10 years since Yuri!!! on Ice premiered?

2016 was a big year for MAPPA, and it all kicked off with Yuri!!! on Ice premiering on October 6. This show not only put MAPPA on the map but also helped shape the future of the studio, leading to hits like Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. Makes you appreciate how a single series can transform an entire studio's trajectory.

10 years since Yuri!!! on Ice, now that's a milestone.

Yuri!!! on Ice really changed the game for so many fans, not just for its stunning animation and storytelling but also for how it represented LGBTQ+ characters in a wholesome way. I remember the first time I watched it; I was hooked from the opening sequence. The chemistry between Yuri and Viktor was so genuine and really captured the struggle and triumph many of us feel in pursuing our passions. It's wild to think about how that show paved the way for other amazing series like Jujutsu Kaisen; the ripple effect is impressive. Rewatching those beautiful skating scenes still gives me chills!
