We don’t get nearly as many action platformers based around new movies as we used to — considering the quality of most of those, some would consider that a good thing. But publisher Outright Games and development studio PHL are going to try giving it another go. They’ve made a deal with MGM to create a 3D action game based on the Addams Family, just in time for their next movie in October — a sequel to the animated flick from a couple years prior.
In The Addams Family: Monster Mayhem you can play as Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday and Pugsley — all at the same time. The game will support co-op for up to four players. They’re fighting to save their mansion home from a sinister new invader. Each character will come with their own special abilities: Gomez has a saber to rattle and Wednesday can command her pet octopus to attack.
