^3.3 out of what though?

The total viewing audience for prime time on a Monday night is going to be higher than the total viewing audience in the middle of the day on Saturday. Without context that rating is a meaningless number. Of course, every freakin' dirtsheet website on the net is guilty of overlooking that detail.

No one is overlooking it but facts are the angle isn't drawing that much attention. Let's face it WWE is 80% casual (brainless) fans and 20% IWC fans.

This angle is hot in the IWC but it's not doing great outside of it. Raw was rated #5 in Top 10 ratings the last 3 weeks. Their usually in the Top 2.

Cunning angle to appeal to jaded fans or not, I'm just glad Punk is finally receiving some of the recognition he deserves. He's been with WWE for... how long now? And despite proving over and over again what he's capable of, he's just now getting the opportunity to headline shows and utilize his experience to bring something new to the stagnant rut WWE has been stuck in for the past half decade. More power to him. I can't believe people didn't notice how good he was before he had to be written into uppercard contention.

A lot of people never knew how good he really was and that's because Vince McMahon never knew how to utilize him. From 2006 to mid-June 2009, he was a stale face who the fans didn't know how to connect to. Hell, I always wondered what was so good about him. He had two MitB wins already and then finally, something exciting happened. Jeff Harvey had beaten Edge to become World Champion and then Punk comes out to cash in his briefcase. After that, Punk became a heel and started his Straight-Edge persona to go against Jeff. That's when I became a Punk fan and have been since. I'm glad he is finally get a lot of attention. It's always management at fault. Don't forget that Punk got fed to Super Orton earlier this year. Punk never even picked up a win over Orton.

Raw's ratings have improved.

Also, this should make FK happy.

[HIDE]Daniel Bryan will debut a new theme song on this Friday's SmackDown![/HIDE]

About fucking time. Now we can take him seriously again.

I love Punk and all but this angle is just for Internet fans and ROH marks. The angle itself is drawing long ratings, last week's RAW drew 3.3...Power Rangers Samurai does better than that.

I think WWE is attempting to reach Indy fans and look cool.

Those should be WWE's top priority to entertain considering those are the fans that stick through thick and and thin with the WWE and don't just stop watching.

Side note: It ain't an Undisputed WWE Title unless Smackdown's World Title is unified along with it. :P

But it's a totally different title.

Anyone enjoying CM Punk's current success really owes it to themselves to look into some of his more famous matches from his independent career. Back when he was one of the biggest names in the indy circuit (right before his migration to WWE), Punk could exhibit a lot more technical skill and physicality in his matches than he is being permitted to use now. His trifecta of matches against Samoa Joe, his feud with Chris Hero in IWA-MS, and his long-running tag team dominance with the Second City Saints in ROH are still some of the most exemplary matches in the modern indy style of all time.

I watched his feud with Ricky Steamboat from ROH back in 2006 and really enjoyed what I saw. Also watched his entire TNA run back then as well and that's what got me pumped for his WWECW debut and I've enjoyed him ever since but I am will say this right now I am liking this guy the most. He is amazing on the mic.

One dude was telling me The Rock was the best on the mic and I said I thought Punk was. The Rock just shoots off 125 catchphrases and a few funny comments and that's it, same old ****. CM Punk has revolutionized the microphone all the way back to his feud with Jeff Hardy and his Straightedge heel run.

The only thing I don't like is Punk's short hair. I feel he would be 100% badassery right now with his old hair and blonde as well. That would have been the ****.

Or actually put on some compelling television. They're rehashing some of the Summer of Punk stuff, but with the involvement of Cena and Triple H, WWE made sure not to alienate that majority audience who doesn't know wrestling exists outside of WWE.

WWE is always drawing 3s, this angle hasn't hurt the company at all on TV. Fans are still attending events and merchandise is selling, WWE has nothing to worry about.

I still think the Rock is the best, like CM Punk he can get people to hold on to his every word, not just cause he spits out catchphrases its that charisma that makes him one of the best, just look at that 11 minute promo he did, it was amazing even if he did drop catchphrases.

I'm not saying Rocky sucks but I am saying Punk is better.

I'm gonna be honest here... I do hope Cena drops Rock at Mania. I don't want Rock coming back in, quick run, win, and leave for the movies again especially when Cena is doing his (****) stuff 24/7. It wouldn't be as bad as Akebono beating Big Show or anything but still. I hate it when an outsider comes in and makes the wrestler look like a joke.

This may be the first time I route for Cena stricly for the fact that he'll be the guy on RAW the next night and Rocky won't even if I always liked Rock better.

But if you want to get serious about this convo I say throw Punk in that match for a 3 way and give both of 'em a GTS.

Also reminds me of another promo event.. Show VS. Floyd Mayweather... *facepalm* And since that day.. Show has adopted the punch in his arsenal.
