Thank You Gaim For Making Me Like Kamen Rider Again !

initially, I thought the characters were all just dumb and shallow for caring about their Randy Jackson's Save the Last Step Up Dance Revolution/Pokemon crap, that there was nothing heroic about the show, and the show dealt with that.

A big problem I always had with W was that it never seemed threatening for our heroes, never seemed dangerous -- despite its noir and criminal setting -- and Gaim's slowly introduced bigger and bigger dangers.

Yeah, it's pretty cool that Gaim manages to continuously escalate, considering how it started. I think it was actually a good thing that it started with kids fighting over dance stages, instead of jumping straight into the larger struggles and conflicts. Makes the important things seem like a bigger deal. And it could avoid long stretches of the show's situation feeling like it's just stuck at the same scale.

Kiwi was pulled by Mitchi when he first got to Helheim, while we had seen Zach use the Walnut seed against the rogue Invess. Now, you can claim it's not GOOD buildup, but buildup was there.

Considering how easy lockseeds are to get in the show, I'm kinda surprised there hasn't been more forms.

I concur. I thought Wizard would be 'The One' since W for me, but it fell off. Gaim always has something going on, so they can fall back on anything. Gaim definitely may be 'The One'.

What I really like about Gaim is the show is really about the main cast, no more guest star of the week, it's back to early Heisei era.

The story is not really that dark like early Heisei, but I still like it. Love the "you are now adult" theme, because right now I'm around the same age as Kouta and Kaito.

Myself, I started this show really hating it. But surprisingly, it turned out to be a show I enjoy a lot. Like, I REALLY love it. So I am so thankful for that. :anime:

I lost my trust even more starting from Den-O. Although some people like it, i don't. It looks stupid. The aura of a Rider lost there.
Decade was better. Kadoya Tsukasa actually kinda cool (although he's arrogant. Which what makes him cool). Bringing new style of hero. I bet he'll get along just fine with Faiz (Inui Takumi).

I disagree, for me if anything it felt like a breath of fresh air after Kabuto. To me Den-O felt like a more well put together story than Decade, and I found the cast of Den-O more likable and interesting than Decade's cast (I really don't like how they portrayed the AU version of my favorite Heisei rider Kuuga), while Den-O has its problems like most shows, at least it didn't feel like such a mess as Decade was (hell I would say I enjoy Den-O more than Kabuto and 555).

Haven't seen Gaim yet but the positive reception is good to hear.

I agree. But with the exception of W, OOO and Fourze a bit. I guess that most of the other Heisei-era Rider shows have lost their angles the minute they followed the who "Fight the new monsters in two episode" bit and what not.

But thankfully Gaim managed to fix all of that.

Thank you Kamen Rider Gaim for making me love Kamen Riders again!!!

There is nothing wrong with the 2-ep monsters. It has been done in the showa era too.
The problem is when there is no need for a 2-parter in the first place.
Both Fourze and especially Wizard suffered from this.
One of the reasons I hated Wizard was that the writers often dragged out the plot for the sake of having a 2-parter.
You knew that if a monster was going to get destroyed in the first episode, it would somehow return so it could be in the next.

The 2-ep monsters only work when they are actually given a personality. In V3, Kuuga and W, the monsters became the main baddies in their own episodes, and were often given a proper introduction and a motive.
