TftC Demon Knight: The Key

So I was bored last night and turned on Starz, and I came across the movie Tales from the Crypt Presents Demon Knight. Have any of you seen this movie? I thought it was really good, and had a lot of talent (Jada Pinkett Smith, Thomas Haden Church, Billy Zane among them). But what really caught me in this movie is the originality of The Key. I love the idea of this one man single handedly holding back the darkness with this key. Its not even really a weapon, just a form of protection for the one who wields it. What do you guys think of this concept?

its a friken awesome and good b-movie. "The Key" does indeed have an original concept to it. it would be interesting to see if anybody else took that concept and ran with it. i loved how the movie turned out. its welll worth the watch.

hahahhah YOU HUMANS ARNT WORTH THE FLESH YOUR PRINTED ON!!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahaahaahhahaa im sorry that line was just made of win :D

I would love to see, at the very least, a comic book series, detailing the journey the Key has been on over the centuries. Hell, I'd write it.

Resurrecting this ancient thread because this movie has been weighing extremely heavy on my mind lately.

For those who have'nt seen it, it comes back on Thursday around 8 and 11 EST on Encore. You shouldn't miss it.

Anyway, I keep getting these ideas for stories. Like what if Jesus was the first guardian. What if the key is the Holy Grail. What if, at the last supper, he had the disciples drink his blood from the key, so that they would be protected from the demons.

Its just got me doing a lot of thinking. I think I might work up a script for a comic book and send it to Papercutz. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll want to use it. But I have to try.

Edit: In case you've never seen the movie. Here's what the key looks like.

Hated Demon Knight (although not quite as much as Bordello of Blood), but I love Tales From The Crypt as a series. Don't really care about the key so I won't comment on that.
