Tensou Sentai Goseiger - Post-Series Discussion Thread

Just exactly how was gosei global lame? This series has been building up to the 5 of them combining the powers into one big attack like that for a while.

True, but i was hoping it would be End and there would be some kind of big reaction to the two cancelling each other out (Like Matter and Anti-Matter).

But just blocking it up with some "Power of the Earth" deal was a bit weak to me, but thats just my personal taste in finale's.

That would be interesting but I could see why they didn't do it that way. End itself is established as being a forbidden technique; it's used to bring back life that's already gone, not to protect what's still there.

It seems to me it would be too late in the show's run to do that, too. The second climax of Goseiger happens basically in the first ten minutes of episode 50. Everything after that is falling action.

You don't have giant explosions and stuff happening during falling action, that's when you tie off all the loose ends. Gosei Global was basically a tie-off-loose-ends power.

Whether it worked for you or not probably hinged on whether or not you felt the characters earned the right to do something so powerful. I did, but I also sat through every single episode of the show.

If you hadn't and didn't have an emotional connection to the characters? Yeah, I can see it coming off like a complete deus ex machina. It kind of is, it's just a matter of whether or not you'll let the show get away with it.

What better to fight a Forbidden Spell than another?
But yeah, i can see the logic behind why they used Gosei Gobal even if i didn't like it that much.

Just some.. .Dude did you even watch the show? The entire thing was about the power of the earth and how it helps them... :redface2:

Yeah, to me it was just a Giant Reset Button, but i do have to say i was expecting the Second Climax to come a little later in Epic 50 that it did, so the fact that the majority of the last episode was wrap-up didn't sit too well with me.

Different Strokes.....

Eh, that's the same logic by which Hyde wanted to sacrifice everyone's lives so that Alata could fight Bladerun. Alata scrapped that idea, too. This show clearly believes that you don't beat a monster by meeting him on his terms; you make up your own.

I admit that i wanted the end to be Alot flashier than it was.
Plus i skipped alot of episodes in the middle since i got bored of the show but came back once Blade-RUN showed up.

Didn't sit to well with you? Guys come on. Having the wrap up take a lot of the final ep gives a lot of closure. I mean I hate endings that are 22mins of a fight, and then 2 mins of credits. I want to see a proper good bye for the characters.
