Teen Titans Forever: The Final Three Episodes - Talkback

Well, theres only three episodes of my favorite cartoon series left. I will miss it bunches when it's over, but I can't say I loved every bit of it. I will miss Beast Boys charm and Raven's bite. Cyborg`s humanity and Starfire`s...lights

Robin I will miss the most as it seems that with this series I finally got to see him beyond the Dark Knight`s shadow.

Heres something you might not know of Teen Titans.
The folks behind the series wanted to make a cartoon that would live on in hearts of the fans like so many anime shows have. And although he influence is there, thanks to the Japanese staffers, the show still came through with bringing light to some stories in DC that had nothing to do with Batman or The Justice League.

There was something about the show that struck me as leaning towards henshin. The fights and the colors, I couldn`t place it. But at the dawn the second season I learned the producers also loved Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first seasons.

The story setup and execution was very much like the old MMPR way of doing story+action. Teens hang out, badguy attacks, moral is learned and they go back to hanging out.

Although this format was phased out, Teen Titans core five dynamic never faild to impress me and I love them even more for it.

As a African American, this show was a true honor to watch week after week. Seeing Cyborg and Bumblebee presented as "people" was refreshing but it also reminded me of how PR pulled it off. Although PR never dealt with human racism or even hinted at it before, least not like last season's episode "TROQ". In TROQ we meet a general who allies himself with each titan except Starfire. He gives them all friendly nicknames, but he calls Starfire TROQ. After a takj with Cyborg we find out TROQ is a racial slur.

Starfire asks Cyborg "You know what it is like to be called terrible names?" ti which Cyborg gives a "Sure, I`m a robot..."

Another thing that PR had that this show shares is the powerful heart and team spirit element. Not every show can pull this off, but this show has done it with flare.

I look forward to seeing Cy and Robin on Smallville and The Batman, I just hope they don`t change too much from the ones many of us know.

In closing, I`d like to treat everyone to this video I found showcasing the trials of the last three seasons. And when I say everyone, I most certainly am directing this to Bolt.

These last three episodes are supposed to be quite huge and thrilling event, much like the season enders in PR Teen Titans season endings go all out and pull out all the stops. I and invite everyone, and again I most certainly mean Bolt to go treat yourselves and watch them. And Bolt, I promise I will make time for Wulin Warriors if you watch these three eps.

While I'm sorry to see it go, it's been a full and robust ride. I don't feel like any of the show's potential as been skimped and the way they're doing this final seasons seems like they're okay with going out like this.

They done a good and full job with the show, I'm pretty satisfied.

Is "GO!" included in the Final Three?

Im really not sorry to see it go. I anticipated it at first but then slowly began to hate it. I cant stand Raven or Beastboy. Deep seeded passionate hatred for both of those characters. I want to strangle Beastboy.

The show itself, storywise was good. The story arcs were nice. The animation? Well... you know what. Let's just say I find the idea that they did anime just so it was "memorable"? yeah I find that idea aggrivating. It's not the animation style that makes something memorable or live on in people's hearts. Evangelion lives on in everyone's hearts because it was good and had culture in it. TT doesnt seem to have that since it's borrowing from other cultures and has none of it's own.

But oh well. I dont want to bitch. It's a good show, it's just I wish they didnt go with the anime route, honestly. It ruined it for me completely. Some of the fights were good, some of the story arcs were great. Glad to see it come to an end

cant wait for the final episodes.

I bet you really must hate how they hook up in the comics, freaky gray and green babies will be among us soon. :buttrock:

Yo Keith, Go actually JUST aired and won`t be airing again for some time. get to downloading it buddy.

Bruce Timm said that ther would be something that links JLU to TT this season. At first I thought it was Kid and adult Flash`s shared VA, but wait it isn`t. From what I`ve been able to gather the link was in fact the apperence of The Gordanians who were in Starcrossed.

I'll admit I was a little taken a back when it first aired, I wasn't expecting all the humor. But when I realized it wan't going suppose to be as serious as Justice Leauge I ended up having a lot of fun. But when it had to be serious it was a blast. I loved trying to catch some of the references the animators threw in (the most obvious being the Gatchman/Battle of the Planets: the Birdarang, Robins glider cape and helment). While I thought the show had a cople of more years in it, at least were going out on ahigh note

I was honestly hoping for more out of TT. While it was a fun little romp, it never really struck me as being all it could be. Too many shortcuts and not enough of the wealth of comic book material it really should've had from the beginning. But the no secret ID's really killed it for me in the end.

Oh, well...there's still JLU. Whenever it comes back...

Freedom, I wouldn`t say so long yet. When you consider how big JLU hero shortlist is, the Titans should be in there somewhere.

The video was loading really slow and when it did play it was choppy as hell, so I just didn't bother. I already told you, I don't like Teen Titans.

Eva sucked. ;)

Anyways, I am VERY sad to see this show go. It wasn't my favorite, but compared to most of what CN had on for non-anime toons? It was gold. Copious reruns aside.

Oh well. I'll be sure to watch the series finale.
