We have a standing tradition to every year on talk like a pirate day, gather together as a group, put on our best pirate costumes, and as a gigantic crew of bloodthirsty buckaneers we descend upon the local Red Lobster and Blackpearl pub.
Typically swordfights on the restaurant lawn ensue, as well as squabbles involving lobster claws, and rowdy loud pirate shanty singing. Oh, and rum. Of course the rum flows like water.
When we're done, we present the waiter with a chest filled with golden one dollar coins, and we thusly pay for our meal as opposed to stealing it, cause the waiters tend to be good sports. On the year before last, the restaurant manager even came out and asked us to come back next year. I had to sit out this year due to workload, but it's typically a wicked ammount of fun.
One of my favorite days of the year.
