Takeru Satoh IS Rurouni Kenshin

Some key points of the article:

- The staff behind it have wanted to do this movie for a long time but felt a lot of things involving the battles would require CGI that just wasn't feasible ten years ago.
- Watsuki Nobuhiro has actually had several offers from Hollywood studios about obtaining the rights to this series but has said he wants this to stay as far away from those production studios as possible. Apparently he has, in no uncertain terms, described his dislike for Hollywood adaptations of manga and what they could do to his series.
- The lead, Takeru Satou, was chosen above others such as Shun Oguri and Miura Hamura because the staff felt he could properly portray the role of a mellow character with flashes of intensity.

I'm actually really excited about this. If anyone can pull off kind-hearted gentleman to psychotic badass swordsman it's Ryoutarou.

(Hollywood wanted to do a Kenshin movie? Thank god he said no)

I think there's already two other threads talking about this.

So this one must face a terrible end at the hands of a lock.

But hey, there's still cupcakes!

And just in case anyone finds this one but can't use the search function to find the other thread, it's here:
