takeru from shinkenger : perhaps the best red ranger?

Even if I haven't watched all 34 super sentai series, among the red rangers, takeu from shinkenger is one of the most interesting and badass character: in the samurai theme series, he is the designated lord, and the others are his vassals, and therefore, it emphasizes the importance of his leader responsability. Moreover, I love his relationship with Genta, which shows that even he is one of the most serious red ranger in recent sentai, not only isn't annoyed by Genta's wacky antics but in fact makes him laugh. His relationship with the others heroes shows how much he cares for them even if sometimes he seems harsh. But the discovery that he is a shadow warrior and that his authority is based on a lie brings a new dimension; because he is loyal and sincere, you understand that it's horrible for him to behave like a lord when he knows that he doesn't have the title, and his final arc with Fuwa Juzo is fascinating; he is so desperate and self loathing, that at the end, he accept to be almost the same as Fuwa Juzo, when they only fight for the sheer intensity of the fight: at one time, the hero and the villain are almost the same; and what is great is when his vassals come to him and accept him as their lord, not because of his birth right, but because as a leader, he earned his authority; and at this moment, you feel that his friends save him from becoming a new Juzo.
In my opinion, this is one of the best story arc and character development for a red ranger in super sentai, and therefore, makes Takeru Shiba one of the best and most interesting red rangers of all time.

Stop. There's at least five people who will tell you your opinion is not valid because you haven't finished every Sentai series ever. (Something they'd say no matter what you were talking about, though.)

...But, more importantly, it's kinda hard to assert that someone IS the best if you haven't. Personally I think Red Flash is pretty awesome too, and BoukenRed.

It was an exaggeration. His point was that there's a forum member here who hates Takeru to a ridiculous extent and will only be incensed that you made this thread.

I haven't watched all the sentai either, so I agree with Sage that you can't make a decision on "The best." It should be "the best I've seen in the sentai I've watched." He is a great, well written character with a lot of character depth. I think that among the ones I've watched, he's one of the most interesting to watch.

Also, I haven't watched all the sentai, but Goseiger is the worst evarrr. Discuss? j/k

Takeru's not the best Red Sentai to me either, but he's among my favorites
most folks here dont think so, but he grew on me especially on that episode when it was revealed he was a fake lord
