What happened to the proposed sequel, Tales of the Ancient Empire?

The Sword and the Sorcerer is pretty archetypical of the genre, but holy balls, that is the ugliest damn sword in existence.

It's 'cause Fantasy is such a hard genre to get right and not make cheesy as ****.

As an aside, the fact the Nostalgic Critic reviewed the first one which had James Earl Jones as the movie's villain without making a single Star Wars joke, allusion, or all out reference is just astonishing, to me.

Dragonheart sucked.... but I still wanna know where they got the dragon.

Not a big fan of Dragonheart, but I really consider that more of a kiddy adventure/SFX movie rather than true sword-and-sorcery action/fantasy. I appreciate the rest of these responses though, I'm making a list to check out! And I guess I should clarify a bit: it doesn't have to be a good movie for me to watch it, as long as it has some redeeming qualities, at the very least in its ridiculousness.
