I played Green Hell and really liked how difficult and real it felt. So when I saw that Creepy Jar is making StarRupture, I got excited. The setting on Arcadia-7 looks very different from the jungle, but it still feels like it will be hard and full of danger. I’m most interested in the building system and the idea that you’re always running out of time because of the star. That adds pressure in a smart way. If the game has deep survival systems and strong base building, I’ll buy it early.

My friends and I are always looking for co-op survival games. We’ve played Valheim, The Forest, and Green Hell. StarRupture seems like the next one on the list. The sci-fi setting is different, and I like that the planet is dangerous in new ways. Fighting creatures is fine, but the idea of time running out because the star will explode is what makes it feel fresh to me. It gives us a goal. I hope it has good replay value and not just one long run.

To be honest, I’m tired of early access games that never finish. I’ve been burned before. Creepy Jar might be different since Green Hell did well, but I’ll wait and see. I like the idea of a dying planet and working under pressure, but I’m not sure if the base building will be deep enough. If it’s just about collecting resources and clicking upgrades, I’ll pass. I want systems that feel connected, not just busywork.
