“Su Ji and U Ri” is a 2024 Korean drama series, with 100+ episodes, and categorized as a Family or Soap Opera, Medical Drama, Romance, and Comedy (Rom-Com). The alternate title is “A Profitable Cage”. The series is airing on South Korea’s local TV channel and episodes are being uploaded to Viki after the broadcast. No surprise this series is taking the time slot that was previously occupied by “Unpredictable Family”, another KBS family drama. Both series are a soap opera-type Korean drama with over 100 episodes, and each episode lasts for about half an hour. K-Drama Review: Unpredictable Family: Do You Know Who Your Relatives Are? | PopGeeks ♦ Why Are Doctors Terrible Patients? In “Su Ji and U Ri”, begins with a psychiatrist trying to convince a patient not to commit suicide. The psychiatrist is Doctor Jin Su Ji. She was successful in getting the patient to change her mind. Someone recorded the entire incident and circulated the video via the Internet. Consequently, Doctor Jin Su Ji became

I'm totally hooked on "Su Ji and U Ri". I mean, where do I even begin? First off, the chemistry between Jin Su Ji and Chae U Ri is off the charts. You can just feel the tension every time they're on screen together, and not just the romantic kind! Their misunderstandings keep me glued to the screen, wondering how they'll sort things out. But what really gets me is the family drama. Jin Su Ji's family dynamic is so relatable, with all its ups and downs. And Chae U Ri's family? Let's just say, I wouldn't mind having dinner at their restaurant! Can't wait to see how their relationship unfolds over the next episodes.

So, I binged through all 13 episodes of "Su Ji and U Ri" in like, two days. Yeah, it's that addictive. What hooked me? Well, for starters, the whole celebrity psychiatrist angle is pretty fascinating. I mean, who wouldn't want to peek behind the curtain of someone who's suddenly thrust into the limelight? Plus, Jin Su Ji's struggles with her own mental health hit close to home for me. And don't even get me started on Chae U Ri's family! Talk about drama with a capital D. But hey, that's what keeps me coming back for more

Okay, so I've got a confession to make: I've been low-key obsessed with "Su Ji and U Ri" since it premiered. Like, I've already rewatched the first few episodes multiple times. Don't judge, okay? There's just something about Jin Su Ji and Chae U Ri's dynamic that keeps drawing me in. And the whole backdrop of mental health and family drama? It's like the perfect recipe for a binge-watching session. Plus, seeing Ham Eun Jung and Baek Sung Hyun back on screen together after all these years? It's like a blast from the past, in the best way possible. Counting down the days until the next episode airs!

The chemistry between Jin Su Ji and Chae U Ri is undeniable, and I can't get enough of their on-screen dynamic. But what really sets this show apart is its portrayal of mental health issues. Jin Su Ji's journey from a successful psychiatrist to a reluctant celebrity is both heartbreaking and inspiring. And Chae U Ri's unwavering support? Total swoon-worthy material.

Psychiatrists are people too. I liked the angle about the psychiatrist having her own mental health problems and having to overcome them while treating others. I loved it when she stood up to her stepmother and told her plainly that she was guilty of gaslighting. (“Gaslighting is a type of psychological and emotional abuse that involves manipulating someone into questioning their own reality.”) This is a real thing and happens to a lot of people. It's cruel, but other people can cause you to have mental health problems.

The chemistry? Yes! These two were a couple in an historical period drama and they had that chemistry. I think the public must have wanted to see them again in a modern Kdrama. Whoever was in charge of casting did a good job!
