[SPOILERS] Terui Ryuu - Hard-Boiled Hypocrite?

Now, calling out the Triceratops Dopant like that seems to be a bit hypocritical on his part, after he, since his debut, goes nuts about the owner of the W Memory.

There's a big difference. He wants to kill the W Dopant, so he wants revenge, but he doesn't let it control him even in unrelated matters. Kujou ended up deciding to destroy Fuuto itself, completely consumed by her hate.

Personally, I hope Shotaro changes. He just seems foolishly idealistic and passive right now. Kujou talked about attacking the commanders of the organization, and he didn't even ask about them and believed that she wouldn't kill them if she ended up attacking them? Forget about asking about them, he should know where they are, considering his encounters in the mansion, and yet does nothing at all about them.

Well, i don't find it contradictory. Terui wants revenge on the W dopant, so it is convincing that he goes berserk after any dopant that he mistakes for the W dopant.

However, it is clear the triceratops dopant isn't the W dopant, so since there's no mistake, this is probably his true character, and the angry crazed side applies only to the W dopant.

Yes, i hope he doesn't turn into Nago aka Kamen Rider IXA. As much as people hated Kusaka from Faiz, he was consistent as a character.

Valid arguments. I did say it was too early for development, since this is his 4th episode, 2nd Episode-set. But I still find it contradictory to say such a thing to Kujoh (just gonna go out with it since this late in the day, many people should have watched it) after he JUST went off in a fit of vengeful rage.

Inoue is not writing any episodes for Kamen Rider W...........so we're good

thank god if this is true...nothing against that writer, but I want to watch a consistent series without other writers twisting the whole thing, the series is doing pretty so far...

and got to agree with NeonZ that Shotaro should know the whereabouts of the bad guys already..but I blame it on Philip more XD..after all, Philip is supposed to be a smart search engine

Ryuutaros:
That's the thing. He even goes as far as attacking an "innocent civilian" (or an untransformed person, like a Gaia Memory user). But to what he says to the Triceratops Dopant, doesn't that make him hypocritical a little?

That is true he did almost attack a civilian BUT Shotaro stopped him and made him see the mistake he was about to make.

Yeah, I'm looking at that event where he almost killed a civilian just a learning experience for him for the next episode where he might only kill somebody if he's really sure, which is the case when he attacked Kujou even though she's in human form already, but at that moment, he did see her transform from Tricerotops Dopant.

So it's really early to say if he's a pure hyporcrite, since his character may slowly develop after every episode since he will learn something more in each of them.

"A Hypocrite never contradicts himself. Everyone else, however, is fair game."

Essentially, He's only hypocritical to us who think he is. Different people have different thought-processes, so what seems to us like hypocrisy or contradiction may not be so in that person's eyes.

To use a (painful) real-life example, it's like how a dictator comes to power in his country by promising to protect the abused. If that dictator consistently thinks of himself as the abused party, that means he can kill anyone; i.e. a poor street kid accidentally bumps into him, Dictator sees this as someone abusing him, and then orders his troops to kill that kid and his family.
