[Spoilers] IRON MAN 2 - TALK UP! [Spoilers ohnoes]

I'm not sure if this has been asked, but for those who have seen the movie...

[hide]Why does Iron man have to jump out of a plane when he can just fly? [/hide]

Because he's Tony Stark. He does whatever the **** he wants.

The old core was putting off to much radiation. The new core gives more power than the old, but with none of the radiation. They talked about this in the movie. Maybe not a lot but they did.

They said that Vanko's father worked with Starks father and that both he and his father were Physicists. They also said he was a genius or something at one point. Again very quick, but they did talk about it.

Why did they need to expand on the ideologies? They said that the other family was stealing ideas and selling them. The son and father both were convicted of selling secrets.

They stated at the beginning that Hammer was under US military contract as their arms provider/Maker. With US funds behind him, he has all the means he needs. It was also shown he has the know how to make the suits, but needed some one else to make them work better. Hammer also didn't build drones. He had started making suits. It wasn't until he busted Ivan out of Jail, and Ivan turned the suits into Drones.

I agree it could have had more to it, and it could have had more story but it was what it was. And I found it fun. Was it the best comic movie? Not by a long shot. Was it a fun summer popcorn comic movie, you bet. And I loved every minute of it.

See, this is what I'm talking about. Your explanations are redundant and basically just rewording my questions. "Why was there a rivalry?" "Because there was a rivalry." That's shaky information at best and information that the movie didn't even really attempt to divulge any better than just laying it out as a thin foundation for the action scenes to be built on. I get that you liked the movie, and you'll probably defend all of its obvious faults 'til the end of time, but that doesn't make those faults any less obvious or damaging to the overall efficiency of the film's storyline.

Yeah, I agree that more insight on the villains should've been given...I mean, all we knew was that he was out to kill Stark...they never actually said why he was out to do it...

Well I don't really see any faults in the movie. The only fault I had with it was that the final battle was a bit short. Yeah I like deep movies at times, but when it comes to something like this I am fine with what I got. If that some how is wrong, then I am fine with that. I enjoyed it for what it was. A fun action summer popcorn flick.

Yes they did. They said it clearly. Ivan was doing what he was doing to get revenge on the Stark Family for what Tony's father did to Ivan's father. They made it very clear at least twice.

He stated his reason yes, but there was no back story as to what actually happened between them.

Same, I thought the end battle with whip and the drones was short, but it's not a big deal. Plus, yea with this movie for me it was fun first, think later. That is how it is alot of the times when I watch Marvel movies. If I'm too busy thinking logically of something which I know off the bat is not real (but can be, it depends) then how the hell can I enjoy it?

Instead you'll get caught up in how much nothing makes sense compared to reality and then you'll come out thinking, that was a waste of your time and money. Which it probably really wasn't.

Now, the Black Widow having no purpose, whiplashes unknown reason to going after stark, tony's underlying relationship with pepper, etc. Those I can understand complaints about.

But sweating over, "Hey, that suit can't possibly work in real life, I'm being jipped!" isn't a good idea. That's what I call unneeded stwess! lol

... maybe because the laws of physics are the only reliable, unchanging constant in the entire universe. I think that amounts to something.

What kindah nut worrys about the law of physics when watching a superhero movie? Sry dude but that's just too funny  Hahaha

Yes there was. Tony and Ivan's fathers worked together on the first arc reactor. Ivan's father was selling secrets and was deported back to Russia. Ivan and his father blamed the Stark family for that.

The Black Widow was there to evaluate Tony for the Avengers initiative for Nick Fury.

Why do people keep saying the reason Ivan went after Tony was unknown? I mean it was clear as day to me. They talked about it many times during the movie. Nick Fury layed it all out in no uncertain terms during that scene on the Balcony during the end of the movie.
