What Joe Quesada basically did was go "hey, you know all that stuff that happened over the years. Also that interesting stuff that developed the character as a person and showed time passing and personal growth- we'll we're just throwing that out because I want to go back to what he was in the beginning, and just make him this stereotype" Renigging on that allows him to move forward as a person again (instead of ignoring the consequences of Aunt May dying and being married, they're forced to live with it)

You're fine with mediocre bullshit that is in steep sales decline, has Aunt May bonking Jameson's freshly ressurected mary-sue father, tons of regressed characterisation, Peter not remotley acting like Peter, and The Osborns switching from homicidal maniac goblins to glorified Power Rangers?

Whatever floats your boat, but BND is no shape or form true Spider-Man.

I think more likely that Quesada had his version of a midlife crisis where he decided to project onto Spider-Man that resulted in OMD. Problem is unlike Disassembled and HoM where he had Bendis or Fraction to clean up after his questionable ideas, here they got a bunch of idiots head up by Dan Slott to do it.
