So I'm half way through Kiva, around 26 or so...I jumped for joy when I finally saw the Spider Fangire killed so I gotta ask:

Why the hell was he kept alive for so many god damned episodes :sly:

probably because they thought that he'd make a great villain, but then they decided that either the fan reaction wasn't great or they didn't know where to take his story

I think he was supposed to be like...the first victim in showing us what happens when a Fangire loves a human, and the first step in Mio's moving towards her Fangire nature. It was just badly executed.

I don't care if its Nago, Otoya, Jiro, Kengo, Rook, Yuri or Megumi under the armor...after that incident...I couldn't take IXA seriously anymore...even if it was in Rising Form.:shakefist

I liked em... What is not to like about him?! He both loves humans & hates humans at the same time Kills anyone who gets in his way! Plus with those puppets all the time you just know he is screwed in the head! Even the other fangrie don't like him I Thought he was more interesting than most of the other fangrie who just popped in to get killed latter in the same episode it was nice to seee one smart enough to survive

I thought he was going to be something like the Bat Grongi in Kuuga and provide some usefulness to the plot. But instead he just makes random appearances and acts schizophrenic.

Albeit Ryo Itoya was an amusing guy. But that doesn't change the fact that he was ultimately quite useless.
