Narrator: In the year 2005, an elite police unit known as the Special Police Dekaranger protects Earth as a specialist unit within the Singapore Police Force. The unit is a division of the Space Police, a force dedicated to deterring crime throughout the universe.
The Alienizers, an alien mafia, have set their sights on Earth's abundance of valuables wanted all over the galaxy. It is up to the Special Police to stop them!

A police cordon has been setup at a terrace house near a bridge, at Bukit Timah in central Singapore. The investigating officer (I.O.) has requested in the S.P.D to take command of the case. Weijie, Nick, Rebecca and Yi Qin step into the house.

"What's going on?" Nick asked the investigating officer, who was holding the same rank as him, Weijie and Basil.

"Kidnapping," he said. "I guess this is no ordinary kidnapping, look," he points to the computer workstation. A cup of Coke was overturned on the ground, the keyboard was hanging, just about to drop off from the table. "No traces of forced entry," the I.O. said. "We've searched the whole house, questioned all the neighbours in the surrounding. The parents left the house early in the morning, leaving the daughter behind, and nobody has entered the house since."

"Then how did you find out about the incident?" Nick posed a question. He was busy taking down the I.O.'s statement with the SP License. It automatically summarized the important points of the statement and sent it to DekaBase through a real-time high-speed data transfer connection.

"A neighbour called to say he heard screams and weird noises coming from the house, so two officers from Bukit Timah NPP came over to check, and they found only this," the I.O. said, pointing to the mess at the computer workstation. He also pointed to a pair of slippers underneath the table. "We believe this was what the victim was wearing."

"Can you switch the computer on?" Weijie asked.

"No problem," the I.O. said. He stepped across some of the evidence and went to the computer workstation. He pressed the Power button on the CPU as the computer began to load.

"Weird," Rebecca remarked after a while.

"What?" the others responded.

"How could the computer turn on, when it is unplugged?" Rebecca picked up the 3-pin plug which was connected to the computer's CPU.

"Hahaha!" came a voice from the computer's speakers. The screen turned white as a thick black circle with numerous black outlines began flashing on the screen. Nick quickly took a quick shot of the event with the SP License, just as the image disappeared, and the computer blew up. The officers covered their faces with their hands.

"Did you manage to anything?" Weijie shouted immediately after recovering.

"Not much," Nick said, taking a deep breath of relief. "Just this," he showed them a quick but faint shot of the earlier image.

"Where's Basil?" Yi Qin asked. Weijie looked out of the house and saw Basil at the railway bridge.

Virus Program

While the officers were at work, Basil was keeping to himself at the top of a railway bridge. Weijie approached him.

"Hey," Weijie called out. "Don't feel bad man,"

"You know, I just can't believe it's over," Basil said, turning around and facing the road. "It was a five-year romance that ended in five minutes."

"I seriously think she's unreasonable," Weijie told him. "From experience I'll tell you straight away, forget the bitch."

"From experience? How much experience?" Basil asked, laughing.

"Well quite alot," he replied, laughing back. "We'll, talk about this later we have a case to solve," Weijie said, walking back to the cordon.

"Hey bro," Basil called out to Weijie, who turned around. "Thanks."

"Hey!" Weijie threw two hands up. "No obligations. Just doing my job as a friend and team-mate," he said, walking back to the cars.

DekaBase. A meeting has been called for all S.P.D by Meng Yeow to discuss the latest case.

"So what's the information gathered so far?"

"Victim is 17-year old Claire Fong, a student with Singapore Polytechnic," Justin announced. "She has fairly excellent academic results, and is in the Business Accounting course."

"Smart girl," Nick remarked.

"We have confirmed the likelihood of this kidnapper using the computer as a medium to kidnap his victims," Justin said. "Which means, he is definitely not something ordinary cops would be able to handle."

"Alienizer?" Basil asked. Justin brought up an image of what Nick managed to capture earlier onto the screen.

"High chances," Justin replied. "I've sent the image and an enquiry to HQ, but they have not replied me yet."

"So during this time we have no leads?"

"Nope," Justin replied.

"How about the computer we brought back?"

"It's totally fried," Justin said. "I'm gonna find it hard to tell the girl that all her stuff is gone, when we find her."

"I'm sure she would understand," Meng Yeow said. "Now, without any leads, we can't further our investigation, much less produce an arrest warrant."

"That's about to change," Justin interrupted. "I've just got a reply from HQ. I'm bringing it up now," he said, and pressed a button. A profile of the alien was shown on the screen.

"This is it," Rebecca said. "The same pattern we saw!"

"He hides around in the digital world, kidnapping clever people through their computers," Basil read out from the screen. "He then uses their cerebrum functions to hack into bank computer systems across the universe," he ended. The others' eyes widened. "I don't understand a bit of this too," Basil shrugged.

"English?"

"In other words, he is using their intelligence to rob banks," Justin explained. "Furthermore, she is a top accountings student, so her cerebrum is able to calculate an amazing amount of numbers in a short period of time."

"No wonder," Weijie said. "The bank passwords are all usually in numbers. With Kebakia's advanced computer system attached to her cerebrum, it wouldn't take her long to deduce the codes. Unvoluntarily of course."

"So it is Rikomo-seijin Kebakia?" Meng Yeow said. "Check with Patrol," he ordered. "I need a full details on how many Rikomo-seijin are on Earth, and how many have criminal records."

"Yes Sir!" Justin replied. He immediately sent an alert to SPD Patrol, the Earth Immigrations and Border Patrolling department of the Space Police.

EYE CATCH

"Sir, according to them, there is only one Rikomo-seijin on Earth," Justin reported. "And it does not have any known residence."

"Then it's the guy we're looking for," Meng Yeow said. "Dekaranger, with the leads we've found, search for Kebakia. Hostage safety is the No.1 priority here,"

"But wait Sir," Weijie interrupted him. "We can't enter the digital world!"

"Ah!" Yi Qin hit the table in anger. "Then what are we going to do?"

"Don't worry," Justin said, in a calm tone of voice. "You thought S.P.D wasn't prepared for cases like this?" he smiled, typing a few commands into his computer. He opened the cabinet next to him and pulled out a device. He connected the device to his modem through an Ethernet cable. "This device can bring a maximum of two persons into the digital world."

"Great," Nick's face brightened up. "Let's go then."

"No," Meng Yeow said. "Basil and Weijie, you'll go."

"Yes Sir!" the both of them responded. Justin was still fiddling with the machine. He hit the machine a few times with his hand.

"Okay," he said. "It's now ready to bring you into Kebakia's cyber domain. Beware though, I'm not sure if communication will be cut off, but once you've found the girl, use your SP License exit the domain and return here, immediately."

"I could handle that," Weijie said.

"Sure?" Justin asked again. "Good luck guys," he said. Basil and Weijie looked at each other and nodded.

"Change standby!" Basil shouted.

"Emergency," both of them shouted, striking their right hands towards the left, with their left hands underneath. "Dekaranger!" they shot their right hands outwards, pressing the centre button, forcing the panel to flip open, revealing their silver police badges. Shiny silver DekaMetal formed over the their bodies, which colourized into DekaSuits.

"Face on!" they shouted. The helmets materialized over their heads. Where Basil and Weijie once stood now stood DekaRed and DekaBlue. Justin pressed a button on his device and a bluish beam of light shone on them. Three seconds later, they disappeared and the light stopped shining.

"What is this place?" DekaBlue asked DekaRed. They were in a white room, where they were facing a large digital screen.

"I could use something like that at home," DekaRed said, trying to lighten the mood. "It surely beats the old widescreen I have at home now,"

"Heh," DekaBlue turned around, and saw a girl sitting on a chair. There was a huge machine beside her, and wires connected to sides of her forehead. "Bingo."

"Claire?" DekaRed ran up to the unconscious girl and shook her. "Claire! Wake up!"

"D-Rod!" DekaBlue pulled out his weapon, and was ready to strike the wires.

"No!" a screeching voice echoed in the surroundings. "Destroy them and she becomes mentally paralysed for the rest of her pathetic life!"

"Who's there?" DekaBlue shouted.

"Come out, you coward!" DekaRed demanded. "Kebakia!"

"I don't remember being familiar with you!" Kebakia said.

"Well, you left your traces all over," DekaRed replied him, looking upwards, turning around, looking at the ceiling. "We just couldn't resist not picking them up. Besides you kidnapped a young girl!"

"I did it to make my own living!" Kebakia screeched, and appeared next to Claire. "Her life is nothing compared to

"You..." DekaBlue clenched his fist tight.

"Ah, ah," Kebakia said. "I wouldn't if I were you. Touch me and I'll blow her mind."

"Grr..." DekaBlue growled. The two Dekarangers were in a difficult spot.

"Hahahaha!" Kebakia laughed. "Can't make any decisions? Then come into my world!"

"Huh?" DekaRed wondered. "What?!" Both of them found themselves inside a train.

"A train?" DekaBlue exclaimed. "Why would we end up on a train all of a sudden?"

"Look out!" DekaRed shouted. He pushed DekaBlue away just as Kebakia's staff misses him. "You..." DekaRed pulls out his D-Magnums and begins firing away. Kebakia blocks all his bullets with his staff and hits him on the front and back consecutively. "Argh!"

"What the.. Where?" They were now on a rooftop. "D-Rod!" DekaBlue shouted, and charged towards Kebakia. DekaRed jumped at Kebakia, firing with his D-Magnums. Kebakia swung his staff, hitting DekaRed and DekaBlue. DekaRed dropped his guns on the roof and fell off the edge. He managed to grab the bar.

"Argh..." DekaRed tried to force himself up.

"Bas!" DekaBlue shouted, struggling with Kebakia. "I've discovered how to get out of this!"

"How?"

"Jump!" DekaBlue shouted at him. "Now!"

"What?!" he was stunned.

"Trust me!" DekaBlue assured him. DekaRed nodded, and let go of the bar.

"No!" Kebakia screamed.

"Sorry man, you're out!" DekaBlue kicked him in the chest, and jumped off the edge.

Both of them found themselves back in the white room.

"How did you know?" DekaRed asked.

"I guessed that, after we were defeated in the train, we're at the roof," he explained.

"Ah," DekaRed said. "Good guess. Now let's save the girl," the both of them ran towards Claire. DekaBlue looked at the machine for a while.

"Easy stuff," he commented. He punched a few keys into the computer, just as Kebakia returned.

"No!" Kebakia screamed. DekaRed ran towards him with a kick, causing him to drop his staff. He put his arm around Kebakia's neck and placed it under pressure. "Ahh! Ahh!" Kebakia screamed again.

"Quick!" DekaRed shouted at his partner.

"Ah damn it!" DekaBlue swore. "D-Knuckle!" he smashed the keys in the machine, and Claire started to regain consciousness.

"Huh? What's going on?" Claire asked. "Who are you?"

"You're back!" DekaBlue untied a confused Claire. DekaRed carried Kebakia and threw him onto the wall.

"Buddy, your turn," DekaRed said.

"No problem," DekaBlue replied. "Rikomo-seijin Kebakia!" DekaBlue and DekaRed stood together, in front of Claire. "Charged with twenty-three counts of kidnapping and murder across eight galaxies...Judgement!" He grabbed his SP License from its holster on the back of his belt sharply and pressed the button.

"Judgement time!" a mechanical voice from the SP License called out. The whole area turned dark, as the red 'X' and cyan 'O' flashed alternately. A clock appeared over the Alienizer, ticking rapidly and alternating the symbols. The red 'X' glowed on the top portion of the SP License.

"Deletion approved!" DekaRed stood at attention with his right fist clenched and hand across his chest. DekaBlue placed his SP License back in the holster.

"D-Rod, D-Knuckle!" DekaBlue drew both his weapons. "D-Sniper!" he combined them together into his trademark weapon, and pointed it at Kebakia. "D-Power charge!" the D-Sniper charged up with energy. "Strikeout!" he shouted, pulling the trigger. A fireball shot out from its barrel, through Kebakia's chest, destroying him entirely. "Mission, complete!" DekaBlue said, giving a thumbs up to DekaRed and a Claire, smiling under his helmet.

Basil and Weijie sent Claire home that evening. Her parents were standing at the door when the police car pulled up across the street from her home.

"Thanks again," Claire said, stepping into her house. "I'll never forget you guys, Dekaranger."

"Don't worry about it," Basil said. "We'll be around, till this threat is gone."

"Come over when you guys have time," Claire said. "My parents would be glad to meet the people who save their precious daughter."

"Ah, okay," Weijie said. "Hey bro, let's get the team for a drink after work?"

"Sure man," they both turned around and headed towards the police car.

"Bye!" Claire waved to them. Both men waved back at her without looking at her, and smiled.

They had saved one innocent girl's life. It was just another day over as a Dekaranger.

DekaRed and Masked Rider Pegasus fire two shots at each other with their respective weapons - D-Magnums and TwinRisers.

DekaRed jumps and somersaults while Pegasus rolls on the ground. They both continue firing, until they stand up together side by side.

"Special Police Dekaranger!" DekaRed shouted.

"Masked Rider Pegasus!" Pegasus shouted.

"Super Hero Hour!" Both of them shouted together.

It was evening on Yi Qin's off day. She was in sitting on a park bench, reading a book on pet dogs.

"Good boy!" a little boy praised his dog.

"Woof!" a dog barked in delight, as the little boy patted it on its head. Yi Qin smiled and looked back at her book.

"If only I had my own dog.. Hmm..." she said. Suddenly, a boomering swung in her direction. "What!?"

"Qin!" Rebecca's voice came from the surrounding. DekaYellow somersaulted and landed in front of her, and blocked the attack with her D-Stick.

"Reb," Yi Qin put her hand on DekaYellow's shoulder, who in turn nodded to her. The other three guys ran to the two girls.

"You guys all right?" DekaBlue asked.

"Yeah," Yi Qin replied. DekaRed was already busy fighting Beirudon. The rhino-like alien bashed him with his large paws and sent him flying towards DekaGreen.

"Hey!" DekaGreen caught him. "Next time, we do it together."

"Next time, how about now?" DekaRed replied, and recovered. DekaBlue and DekaYellow did a combo attack with their batons. The armour of Beirudon protected him from their attacks. He threw four boomerangs which hit all of the four on their chests. He then used his horn and rammed through all four of them.

"Ha..." Beirudon snubbed them. "I won't bother with you!" he said, and disappeared, leaving the four lying on the ground.

"Guys!" Yi Qin screamed.

"It appears that Beirudon had bought the liquid from a well-known black market dealer," Justin said. "I suspect it is actually fuel for a machine, but I could be wrong."

"Should we pick him up then?" Weijie asked.

"Not now," Meng Yeow diverted attention to another subject. "Beirudon. Beirudon. Now you couldn't penetrate his armour right?"

"Near impossible," Basil said. "He felt pain but completely no damage was done at all. Stats showed he was at full health throughout."

"Is it possible to subject him to tremendous amount of pain, which would totally amount to a damage in his armour?" Christina asked.

"Nope," Justin countered. "Definitely not. His armour is a shock-absorber, I'm pretty certain."

"Since you know so much about his armour," Rebecca said. "Why don't you try help us penetrate it?"

"I'm still working," he replied, and walked out of the DekaRoom.

"Sir, I believe we can beat him," Basil said. "We weren't at full strength, Yi Qin did not transform earlier."

"Why is that so?"

"I didn't bring along my SP License," Yi Qin replied. "I'm on leave remember?"

"On leave!" Meng Yeow shouted in anger. "Never, leave your SP License, never let it leave you. It is the most important device for a Dekaranger!"

"Yes Sir..." Yi Qin obliged, a little frightened.

"I know you can beat him," Meng Yeow said. "You just need a little bit more help than just the five of you."

"Meaning?" Nick asked as Justin returned, pushing an enclosed cage on a trolley.

"The key is in the dog," Justin said.

"Like, woof?" Nick asked, confused. Justin unlocked the cage with a code.

"Murphy, out," Justin said towards the cage. A robot dog leapt out and jumped into a shocked Yi Qin's arms. Its visor light up with red light.

"What?"

"I think he likes you," Rebecca said, smiling at the new addition to their team.

"Cute!" Yi Qin held Murphy up for a while, then dropped him suddenly, painting a frown on the others' faces. "Too...Heavy..."

"Fully-functional robot dog Murphy K-9," Justin said. "Everything a normal dog can do, Murphy can do 10 times better, there is a catch though..."

"What?" Basil asked, getting interested in the robot dog.

"It has an attitude problem.." Justin said, just as Murphy raised its rear right leg and spurt water on Yi Qin's shoes.

"Ahhh!" Yi Qin screamed.

"Don't worry, it's just water," he consoled her.

"Luckily I'm not wearing my uniform..." she said, sighing.

"You'll make good friends with Murphy," Christina said, patting on her shoulder.

"Murphy!!!" Yi Qin shouted, running behind the robot dog, who was too fast for her. "Stop!!!"

The robot dog went into a convenience store at a British Petroleum petrol station, with Yi Qin following not far behind.

"Woof!" Murphy barked at some diesel petroleum bottles stacked in a pyramid formation.

"No!" Yi Qin told it.

"Woof! Woof!" Murphy barked again, this time dragging Yi Qin's leg towards the cashier.

"Don't drag my leg!" Yi Qin shouted at the dog. "No!" she declared, drawing attention from the cashier and some customers in the shop. Suddenly,Murphy's visor lit up.

"TARGET DETECTED...SEARCHING..." was shown in Murphy's Head-Up Display. "LOCATION CONFIRMED."

Murphy ran amok in the store, crashing through aisles and dropping everything in its path. The people in the store watched in terror as the robot dog smashed the plexi-glass window and escaped. "This dog!" she tried to run after it but was stopped by the cashier.

"Who's going to pay for all that?"

"Erm.." Yi Qin said, fumbling for her warrant card. "Police force," she brandished her pass and proceeded to run after the dog.

Weijie and Nick were dispatched to bring in the arms dealer. They entered an industrial building where the dealer was supposed to have been hiding. The man spotted them, and attempted to escape.

"There," Weijie said, pointing to the left. Nick nodded and ran towards the left, while Weijie took off towards the right.

The both of them cornered the suspect in an alley, who gave up. Nick pinned the suspect against the wall, and Weijie swiftly placed the handcuffs on him.

EYE CATCH 1 - Yi Qin with her SP License

Yi Qin was still running after Murphy. The dog jumped and tugged at a man with a briefcase standing by a corner.

"Murphy!" Yi Qin struggled while pulling the robot dog away by its leash. "No, no, no!" she threw its tail down and gave up. "You are irritating me!" she screamed at the dog, drawing attention from the nearby crowd.

"You are Special Police?" the man asked, with a low voice.

"Yes," Yi Qin replied, struggling with a stubborn Murphy, who continued to growl and force his way towards the man. The briefcase dropped, and opened, revealing more red liquid in its contents. Yi Qin was horrified. "You..."

"Your dog is irritating me!" the man shouted, and kicked the dog away. He looked at Yi Qin fiercely, and crossed his hands in front of his face, transforming into an orange and black robot.

"Mecha-human!"

Inside the interrogation room, Nick and Weijie are having difficulty getting information out of the suspect.

"Tell us!" Weijie grabbed the suspect's collar. "Where do you get the liquid?"

No answer.

"You what?" Nick slammed the table. He went straight into the suspect's face. "You better tell us..."

The door opened, and Basil stepped in. Weijie released his hold on the suspect, and turned around.

"You guys better go," Basil said. "Yi Qin's in trouble. Rebecca's waiting in the carpark."

"How about you?" Nick asked.

"I'll take over," Basil said. Nick and Weijie nodded, and left the room hurriedly. Basil closed the door.

DekaPink was being thrashed badly by the orange robot. The police cars stopped nearby and the other three Dekarangers ran out. DekaGreen grabbed his SP License and attempted to identify the orange robot.

"Mecha-human... Codename Igaroid," DekaGreen said. "Extremely strong, and very very dangerous."

"I don't think he's more dangerous than all of us combined," DekaYellow said.

"Let's go!" DekaBlue ordered. The three ran towards DekaPink with their weapons.

"Two, three, four, five," Igaroid counted. "Where's number one?"

"For me to know, you to find out," DekaGreen shot back, right hand firmly holding onto the D-Rod.

"Aargh!" a gruff voice roared from the surroundings. Beirudon joined in the fight.

"You still dare come after being late," Igaroid told Beirudon.

"So you were trying to sell those!" DekaPink pointed at the briefcase with spilt contents of the red gasoline.

"Who sent you?" DekaBlue demanded.

"It's only for me to know," Igaroid said. "Dekaranger, you die today..." he said, pointing his saber towards them.

"I see you've been arrested in America before, but was released because of insufficient evidence," Basil skimmed through the suspect's file. "You have the right to remain silent in America...but," Basil slammed the file in front of the suspect's face, and grabbed his shirt collar. "In Singapore you don't have a choice."

"His interrogation techniques are good," Christina commented, while watching the procedure via the screen in the DekaRoom.

"That's why I chose him," Meng Yeow said. "You can say I trust his knowledge on criminal psychology."

"Are you going to talk or not?" Basil asked. The suspect still remained silent. "OI OI!" Basil hit the table five times impatiently, and walked behind the suspect. He grabbed the suspect's hair, and whispered into his hear. "Do you realise I can charge you, right here, right now, for being an accomplice with an intent to cause grievous hurt to civilians?"

"I'll talk!" the suspect shouted. "Just, let me go!"

"Much better," Basil let go of his head and wiped his hands.

"Beirudon...Beirudon...He bought it from me when he just came to Earth!"

DekaBlue and DekaYellow, although attacking Igaroid together, are having a difficult time. DekaGreen and DekaPink attacked Beirudon, who did not have much trouble disposing of them. Beirudon rammed DekaPink with his horn and sent her flying towards a car.

DekaBlue jumped and attempted to strike Igaroid, but the robot cleverly pulled DekaYellow in front of him acting as his shield. DekaBlue accidentally struck DekaYellow!

"Reb!"

"Hahahaha!" Igaroid laughed, as DekaBlue went to the aid of his fallen team-mate. Igaroid shifted his focus to DekaPink, who was lying unconscious on the ground. Murphy was trying to wake her up.

"Woof!" Murphy ran and jumped in front of Igaroid's attack, saving DekaPink. Amidst the chaos, she regained her consciousness and saw Murphy near the ground, squirming in pain.

"Murphy!" DekaPink shouted. She ran up to the robot dog, and patted it on its head. "Murphy.. Thank you.."

"Woof! Woof!" Murphy replied, his visor showing a delightful expression. Beirudon attacked DekaGreen, who cleverly flicked his D-Rod up into the air, distracting Beirudon, and did a somersault kick, destroying Beirudon's horn.

"Aarghhh!!!" the alien screamed in pain.

"What the hell did you do?" DekaYellow asked him, recovering from her earlier injury.

"Why does Beirudon always attack with his horn?" DekaGreen shot back a question at her. "It must be his most vulnerable point!"

"Guys!" DekaRed called out to the rest of the team. "I've got it out of him!"

"Huh?" Beirudon turned and saw DekaRed. Igaroid went to attack him, but DekaRed expertly dodged his saber attack, and withdrawing his D-Magnums in the shortest possible time, fired multiple shots into Igaroid's chest at point blank. The robot stumbled to the ground, and got up weakly.

"Next time.. You pay!" he said, and jumped out of the fight. DekaRed remembered what he came for. He jumped, somersaulted and kicked Beitorun in the chest, sending him stumbling backwards.

"Qin," DekaRed looked at her. She nodded, and took a step forward.

"Anri-seijin Beirudon!" DekaPink shouted. "Charged with five counts of murder in four planets, and trafficking of banned substances, Judgement!" She grabbed her SP License from its holster on the back of his belt sharply and pressed the button.

"Judgement time!" a mechanical voice from the SP License called out. The whole area turned dark, as the red 'X' and cyan 'O' flashed alternately. A clock appeared over the Alienizer, ticking rapidly and alternating the symbols. The red 'X' glowed on the top portion of the SP License.

"Deletion approved!" the other four stood at attention with their right fist clenched and hand across his chest as DekaPink placed her SP License back in the holster.

"Murphy!" DekaRed shouted and threw the Key-Bone up into the sky. "Key Bone!" Murphy barked and jumped, grabbing the object with its mouth. The Key-Bone activated Murphy's transformation into D-Bazooka.

"D-Bazooka!" the five shouted as the cannon's weight rested on the five of them.

"D-Power charge!" DekaRed shouted. Their five individual coloured energies charged up the D-Bazooka.

"Strikeout!" the five shouted together, DekaRed pulling the trigger while the rest point their free hands forwards. Two powerful blasts shot out from the twin barrels, and penetrated Beirudon's thick armour, destroying him. DekaRed carried up the D-Bazooka, releasing it from the hold of the others.

"We did it!" DekaPink jumped for joy.

Yi Qin and Murphy ran side by side at the park near the DekaBase as Meng Yeow and the other four watched.

"Looks like they've become unlikely partners.." Meng Yeow said.

"That's a good thing right?" Rebecca asked, clutching her right arm.

"Definitely," Weijie said. "Is your hand okay?"

"Just a bruise," she replied.

"Accidents occur in the field," Meng Yeow explained to them. "Risks are what we take on, results is what we assure."

"I still don't get it," Nick said. "How is it Bas was able to get it out of that guy but me and Weijie weren't able to?"

"That's just what I do," Basil said. "I'm a pro!" he joked.

"Yeah, we're always the ones doing the hard labour," Nick retorted jokingly.

It was a Saturday evening. Basil was out with his sister, Adeline, who appeared to be around her early twenties. She was pulling, practically dragging him, by his hand.

"Where are you bringing me?" Basil asked his sister, reluctantly.

"Come on kor!" she said. "I'm taking you to meet this girl, she's really eager to meet you!"
("Kor" is a slang word for older brother in Singapore)

"Who?" Basil asked. "Why does she want to meet me so bad?"

"A friend of mine," Adeline said. "You'll see when you get there.."

Weijie was walking around in the same shopping mall, when he spotted Basil being dragged across the aisle by his sister.

"Hey..." he whispered to himself. "What a coincidence," he said again. He was about to chase after them when his mobile phone rang. "Hello?"

"Weijie," it was Meng Yeow.

"Sir?"

"I need you to come to DekaBase now, you got your SP License with you?"

"Yeah," he replied. "Okay, sure,"

Weijie, Rebecca and Meng Yeow are in the DekaRoom, in civilian clothes.

"Heh," Weijie laughed. "I couldn't believe my eyes!"

"All right, all right," Meng Yeow said. "Let's get down to business."

"Yes Sir," Rebecca answered eagerly.

"Now I've got you two back here because there's a case which has been transferred to us from Special Crimes,"

"Special Crimes?" Rebecca asked. "From CID?"

"Yeah," Meng Yeow said. "ASP Pang from Special Crimes has notified us of a kidnapping that seems to have zero leads."

"Zero leads?" Weijie exclaimed. "Does that give them a reason to dump the case to us?"

"I'm hoping this would be good, cause the annual promotion is coming," Meng Yeow explained.

"And?" Rebecca looked interested.

"Rebecca, you need to fulfill one more criteria for promotion. Weijie, as you've just got promoted about a year ago, you're not qualified for a second promotion. I've called you back to assist her," Meng Yeow continued. "Do a good job, and don't disappoint me."

"YES SIR!" Rebecca and Weijie replied enthusiastically.

"Kor, I want you to meet Pearl," Adeline said, introducing another girl about her age to her brother. They were at a restaurant.

"Er, hi," Basil said.

"Hi!" Pearl smiled at him sweetly.

"Pearl's a receptionist with MediaBuzz."

"MediaBuzz?!" Basil exclaimed. "That scandalous magazine?!"

"Yeah, minus the scandalous," Adeline replied. "Anyway, she wants to become a reporter for the magazine, not a receptionist. So I figured out that one good way is to get the scoop that every magazine's having problem with."

"That would be an interview with a Dekaranger?" Basil asked.

"Yep," Adeline replied. "Since my kor is a Dekaranger..." she smiled. "I hope you wouldn't mind, just do me a favour kor!"

"Okay, okay," Basil agreed reluctantly. He could not bear to refuse his sister's request.

"So I'll leave you two here then," Adeline tapped her brother on the shoulder, smiled to Pearl and left. A waiter came up to the table.

"Your order sir?"

"Capuccino," Basil replied. "Yeah, Pearl right?" he asked, to which she nodded. "What have you got to ask me?"

"Well," Pearl said shyly. "Why did you join the Police Force?"

"Actually, it was more of a childhood kind of thing," Basil said. "When I was a boy of about 12, I witnessed the police arrest gangsters hanging around below my void deck," he said. "The way they made the arrest really got my interest."

"What made you reinforce this dream?"

"When I was in my later teens there were shows such as Crimewatch and Triple Nine, they really got me hooked onto joining the Force." He said.

"Then what about Dekaranger?"

"This is a calling, a duty," Basil explained, describing with his hands.

"Your capuccino sir," the waiter served him the cup of coffee.

"I was on a case with my ex-partner, Cpl Angeline Soh," Basil said. "You may remember the shooting in Bedok not too far back?"

"Oh, that one."

"Yes," he continued. "I was the one who fired the shot. When I returned to the NPC, my superior reprimanded me but at the same time, passed me a transfer folder, and told me that I was on my way to a specialist team."

"So you are sure you really never saw anything?" Weijie repeated a question to a man at the front gate of a bungalow. He was one of the managers in the company.

"Yes, I'm perfectly sure," the manager replied.

"Okay, that's all. Thanks Mr. Wong," Weijie shook the manager's hand, and headed towards the patrol car. Rebecca was standing, leaning on its side, with her arms folded.

"I don't like that guy," Rebecca said. "He had some evil aura around him, I could sense it."

"What, your sixth sense?" Weijie teased.

"How about seventh?" Rebecca answered him. "The way he appeared, answered your questions. He was too cool. Like he was expecting a visit from the police any moment," she said, expressing her views. Weijie placed one hand on the roof of the car.

"Hey." He interrupted her. "Relax okay? You'll get your promotion I promise." He assured her. Rebecca smiled at him.

"Okay." She said. "I'll take your word for it." They both began to get in the car. Unknown to them, Mr. Wong was watching them from his window on the second level. He was smoking a cigar, and closed the curtains swiftly.

"They won't suspect anything," Mr. Wong said. When he turned around there was an Alienizer standing there. He had large twin shoulders, and a head seemingly lodged between his shoulders.

"Good..." the Alienizer said.

The Alienizer from earlier was watching Weijie and Rebecca from the roof of a building.

"Hellheaven!" a voice called out from behind him, startling him. He turned around and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Aburera..." Hellheaven spoke the name of his comrade. "So what have you got for me today?" he asked, pulling out a large wedge of US$10,000 bills.

"Anything you want." Aburera grabbed the money from Hellheaven and counted greedily. He then laid down a briefcase on the floor. "This is all yours!" Aburera stepped to the edge of the building and saw the two Dekarangers. He focused his view on Rebecca.

"Don't worry about those two," Hellheaven told him while eagerly examining his goods.

"That girl." Aburera raised his hand and brought it across his face. "I have seen her before!"

"She is one of the Earth's S.P.D!" Hellheaven said.

"I remember..." Aburera growled. "If you bother to do me a favour, destroy her."

"How about the Blue guy?"

"I'll give you a trump card." Aburera's eyes lit up. Suddenly, an orange and black warrior with a spike-ball head jumped into the scene. It was Igaroid. "He should be sufficient enough to bring those two down."

"My pleasure..." Igaroid whispered to himself. He then withdrew his Cross Saber and jumped down the building.

Igaroid withdrew his Cross Saber and jumped down from the building, and aimed his attack at Weijie. Rebecca spotted the oncoming attacker.

"Weijie!" she screamed, getting his attention. "Behind you!"

"What the?!" Weijie exclaimed. He dodged the attack, and jumped to safety. He stood up, and regrouped with Rebecca. He cracked his knuckles. "Trying to interrupt our investigation?"

"Actually I've been sent to kill you!" Igaroid growled.

"What?" Rebecca muttered.

"Enough talking," Weijie said, stepping forward. They both took out their SP Licenses.

"Emergency," the both of them shouted, striking their right hands towards the left, with their left hands underneath. "DEKARANGER!" they shot their right hands outwards, pressing the centre button, forcing the panel to flip open, revealing their silver police badges.

DekaMetal formed over the both bodies, which colourized into DekaSuits.

"Face on!" they shouted. The helmets materialized over their heads.

"DekaBlue!" he posed, left hand spread out towards the front, while his right hand, also spreading, stretched out backwards.

"DekaYellow!" she posed, with her right hand pointing diagonally with two fingers outwards. The pointed fingers became a fist. "Let's do it," she said to DekaBlue. "D-Stick!"

"D-Knuckle!" he called out for his grip weapon. Both of them jumped into battle with the Igaroid.

DekaBlue executed a perfect roundhouse kick to the Igaroid's head, but the robot managed to anticipate and dodge his attack. DekaYellow followed up with a swipe at the unsuspecting robot, managing to hit him in the chest, but not doing much damage to him. She looked at her D-Stick, and saw that the side portion had been ripped off.

"This is unbelievable!" she exclaimed.

"D-Sniper!" DekaBlue combined his both weapons together and fired all out at Igaroid, who deflected them with his Cross Saber, shot by shot. DekaBlue was stopped in his tracks and pushed behind by the blast. He hit DekaYellow and the both of them crashed into a fence. DekaBlue, suffering from the second blast, managed to secretly press a button on his SP License. "Bas..." he muttered weakly. Meanwhile, Igaroid was preparing another attack with his saber.

"Cross Attack!" he raised his saber into the sky and struck it onto the ground, sending bolts of lightning at the two. Their DekaSuits were badly damaged, and both fell to the ground, half-dead.

"How does being a Dekaranger affect your normal life?" Pearl asked. "Like, love, family, relationships?"

"Oh man..." Basil sighed. "You won't believe how much I have experienced although I've been in this department not too long."

"Haha..." Pearl laughed. "Care to tell me what happened?"

"She was a TV actress I knew from school," Basil revealed. "Jea.. Wait." He heard a distinct ringing sound, and took out his SP License. He pushed the selector to Phone Mode, and opened it up. 'DANGER' flashed on the top of the screen, with a map and coordinate of the location being shown below. "Sorry, I have to go now." He dashed towards the exit of the restaurant. Pearl tried to follow him.

"Sir you haven't paid," the waiter at the exit said. Basil ignored him and ran to the carpark. "Hey!" the waiter began to call out after him.

"Wait," Pearl grabbed the waiter's shoulder. "I'll pay."

After settling the payment, she went out of the mall and saw Basil speeding in a black car. She immediately flagged down a taxi and pointed in the direction of his car. The taxi sped off after Basil's car.

"Argh..." DekaYellow's arm ached from the pain. She reached for her D-Stick, but Igaroid kicked it away.

"You..." Igaroid looked at her and wagged a finger slowly at her. He then kicked her head, causing her to scream in pain.

"Reb..." DekaBlue reached out towards her, but caught the attention of the Igaroid.

"Now you stay where you're supposed to be," Igaroid said. "And don't move!"

"Weijie!" a familiar voice shouted from a distance. DekaBlue turned around and saw DekaRed running towards him, just as Igaroid dragged DekaYellow to another corner. DekaRed bent down and looked at his team-mate. "You all right?"

"I can get better," DekaBlue said. "But Reb..."

"I'll get to her," he assured him. DekaRed pulled his team-mate towards the side of the alley. "You stay here and rest," he said. He pulled out his twin guns, flipped them, and started to run towards Igaroid.

Igaroid reached out for his saber with one hand, the other grabbing DekaYellow's neck. He turned back to DekaRed and saw two gun barrels pointed in his face.

"Release her," DekaRed demanded. "Now."

Dangerous Game

"Release her," DekaRed demanded, his guns pointed at Igaroid's head. "Now."

"Hm..." Igaroid sneered at him. Unknown to the three of them, Pearl was hiding in a corner, taking pictures of the battle with her camera phone.

"I'm not kidding tin can," DekaRed said. "I could blast your head off right now.."

"You would what?" the Igaroid asked. DekaRed appeared stunned for a while.

"Look out!" DekaYellow screamed. DekaRed turned around, and was met with Hellheaven's shoulders.

"Argh!" he was sent tumbling to the ground by the alien's powerful shoulders. "What the hell?" he blared loudly, clutching his right shoulder where he was hit.

"You cannot touch me when I have these!" Hellheaven mocked him. DekaRed took out his SP License and searched for data on this alien.

"Can multiply the strength of his shoulders by tenfold?!" he exclaimed, getting up on the ground, then looking at Hellheaven again. "Going to be interesting." He slotted his SP License back into the holster and wagged a finger at Hellheaven.

"Cocky aren't you?" Hellheaven mocked him again. DekaRed began running towards Hellheaven. He bent down, rolled on the ground and picked up his D-Magnums, then rapidly fired multiple shots to his front and left, where Hellheaven and Igaroid were standing.

"What the?!" Igaroid growled. He looked around, and realised that DekaRed and DekaYellow were gone.

It is Monday. The full team is at a meeting about the previous Saturday evening's events.

"So what exactly happened?" Nick asked.

"Some rich guy's daughter got kidnapped by Hellheaven." Weijie replied him.

"Not just any rich guy," Basil corrected him. "The CEO of a wafer-chip manufacturing corporation."

"Motive?" Rebecca asked.

"I'd say money," Nick replied.

"If I were any ordinary kidnapper I'd kidnap the girl for money," Weijie pointed out. "But why should an Alienizer do it?"

"Well, they're in for the money too," Basil said, simmering the tension.

"Even so," Weijie said again. "I think there's something funny about that manager Reb and I went to interrogate earlier."

"Yeah," Rebecca supported his view. "I felt that he was like, not talking straight from his own words. Sounded very artificial if you ask me."

"If so you feel, that he should be brought in, do so." Meng Yeow told them.

"Yes sir!" they both replied. Weijie looked to Rebecca, and they both nodded to each other, and headed out of the room.

"Meanwhile, the rest of you," Meng Yeow said. "I'm hoping that you would work on finding the CEO's daughter."

"On it," Basil gave his superior a thumbs up. Nick and Yi Qin followed him out of the room.

Weijie was driving a patrol car with the sirens off. Rebecca was beside him.

"So do you think that he was the one responsible?" Rebecca asked.

"Indirectly I suppose," he replied her, while still concentrating on the road.

"Mr. Poh, Mrs. Poh. I can't help you find your daughter if you don't tell me anything." Basil was interrogating the CEO at his residence. He looked at the mantle above the mock fireplace, and saw some picture frames there. He looked at a photo of the family of three, in their happier days. He took the frame and put it on the coffee table.

"What is he doing?" Yi Qin asked Nick. The both of them were standing at the side.

"Psychological tactics," he replied her. "He has a very effective and unorthodox way of solving cases, that's why Sir chose him to be the leader."

"Mr. Poh. Look. The three of you are all smiling and happy, ever-so-carefree..."

"What do you want to know?" Mr. Poh finally spoke.

"Does Sarah have any enemies?" Basil asked.

"I don't know..." Mrs Poh cried. "She doesn't tell us where she goes, but we love her alot."

"How about the both of you?"

"How would I have any enemies?" Mrs Poh reacted suddenly. "My husband does not have any too!"

"Have you recently caused harm to anyone?" He asked again. The both of them kept silent for a while. Basil seemed to understand something. "Ok guys. Let's go. They're not telling us anything." The three headed towards the front door.

"Wait!" Mr Poh shouted. "There was this guy.. One of my managers.."

"Aloysius Wong?"

"Yes. Him." The old man sighed. "I cut his monthly salary by 15%."

"15%!?" Yi Qin exclaimed. "Does that give him enough reason to kidnap a teenage girl?!"

"Do you think he did it?"

"He didn't even bother to offer a word of condolence when he heard about it..." Mr Poh said.

"Okay," Basil said. "Thanks for your cooperation. We'll bring your daughter back. Safe." Basil assured them, and turned to his colleagues. "Let's go guys."

"Aloysius Wong?!" Weijie exclaimed. He was about to make a turn into the wafer-chip factory where Aloysius Wong was the manager. "He told us he didn't see anything the last time we went to look for him."

"Well he can lie can't he?" came Nick's voice from the radio system.

"Thanks for the tip." Weijie turned off the radio. "There, we have our man," he said, pointing to an empty car parked at the factory. Aloysius Wong's car. "Now we don't have to keep making trips back and forth."

Rebecca and Weijie walked down the corridor of the factory, heading towards Aloysius Wong's office. In the dead silence, they heard muffled whimpers echoing throughout the corridor.

"Weijie." The both of them stopped dead in their tracks, and began to listen out for the direction of the muffled whimpers. "Do you hear that?"

"Yeah..." Weijie replied. "And it's coming from..."

"Don't bother searching!" Hellheaven appeared in front of Aloysius Wong's office.

"Hellheaven!" Weijie shouted the name of the alien. "Where is Sarah Poh?" he demanded.

"Ohh.. She is safe and sound.." Hellheaven laughed, pointing behind the Dekarangers. Sarah was tied up with her legs bound with a thick cloth, and hung upside down from the ceiling.

"Give me back my daughter!" came a cry from behind Hellheaven. It was Aloysius Wong!

"His daughter?!" Basil exclaimed, in shock. "Sarah Poh is not Victor Poh's daughter?!"

"Aloysius Wong just screamed it out when Hellheaven hung her upside down from the ceiling.."

"Unbelievable!" Yi Qin said. "Now who's in the wrong?"

"We'll head back to Mr Poh's place." Basil stepped on the brake and gas pedal, drifting the Mazda 323 across the nearly empty street, drawing stares from the pedestrians nearby. He flipped the switch to turn on the siren, and began speeding back to their previous destination.

"Give me the chip.. And I will give her back!" Hellheaven growled.

"I don't have it!" Aloysius Wong screamed

"Liar!" he bashed Aloysius Wong in the chest, sending him flying towards a wall.

"Rebecca!" Weijie put his hand on the holster behind him. She followed his action.

"Emergency," the both of them shouted, striking their right hands towards the left, with their left hands underneath. "Stop bashing him!" DekaBlue jumped at Hellheaven, using the narrow corridor as an advantage against Hellheaven's large size. He managed to kick the alien, and it crashed into a wall.

Victor Poh and his wife were trying leave their house when the police car screeched in front of their house.

"Mr and Mrs Poh." Basil stepped out of the car. "We've found Sarah."

"Really?!" Mrs Poh's face lit up.

"We also have a few more questions to ask you.." Nick said, staring at Victor Poh. He lowered his head.

Hellheaven's shoulders powered up, and grew twice in size. He charged towards DekaBlue, who energized his D-Rod with blue energy.

"AARGH!" DekaBlue struck just as Hellheaven hit him. Hellheaven was sent tumbling back, with DekaBlue standing up straight, victorious. "Your strength doesn't work on me anymore... You kidnapped a teenage girl for money.."

"I didn't!" Hellheaven claimed. "I was paid to do so!"

"Huh?" DekaBlue asked. He took out his SP License. "Guroza-seijin Hellheaven.. Charged with 1 count of kidnap. Judgement."

"Judgement time!" a mechanical voice from the SP License called out. The whole area turned dark, as the red 'X' and cyan handcuffs flashed alternately. A clock appeared over the Alienizer, ticking rapidly and alternating the symbols. The cyan handcuffs flashed.

"Not.. Guilty?" DekaYellow was confused.

"Who paid you then?" DekaBlue demanded, while using the Gyro Whoppers to cuff Hellheaven.

"By him!" Hellheaven pointed at Aloysius Wong. "Aloysius Wong promised he would give me the wafer chips if I gave him his daughter!"

"Aloysius Wong.." DekaBlue clenched his fist hard. "Aloysius Wong.." he deactivated his suit and walked fiercely towards Aloysius Wong. DekaYellow ran after him, also deactivating her suit on the way.

"Weijie!" Rebecca shouted. "No!" Weijie raised his fist and punched Aloysius Wong in the face.

"You despicable bastard.." Weijie said. "I have a good mind to thump you right here right now!"

"Weijie!" Rebecca screamed at him. "We are police officers, not gangsters!"

"Count yourself lucky." Weijie grabbed him by the collar and pushed him against the wall, handcuffing him. "You scum.."

"Justin. You can transport Hellheaven to our cell." Rebecca said, speaking into her SP License. Hellheaven disappeared in a flash of blue light.

"So you are telling me, Aloysius Wong paid Hellheaven to kidnap his daughter back?"

"I had the baby with Aloysius'." Mrs Poh revealed. "But I broke up with him just the day after she was born, and married Victor months later. That time, Sarah was with Aloysius. Victor knew all along, but he still treated her like his own."

"But you told me Victor kidnapped Sarah when she was not even 1?" Yi Qin countered her again.

"I..." Mr Poh stammered and turned his head away. "I... I couldn't bear to accept that my own wife was carrying my friend's baby. He frequently beat my wife, and I couldn't stand it!" Mr Poh was getting agitated.

"Why didn't you report it back then?"

"I'm sorry Mr Poh." Basil reached for his cuffs. "I'm afraid, I'm going to have to bring you in. No matter whether your intention was good or bad, kidnapping carries a life sentence."

"No!" Victor Poh suddenly sprang out from his seat. "You're not going to bring me in!" He pulled out a pen-knife from his pocket and swung it at the officers. "Stand back!"

"Don't try anything funny." Basil pointed his right index finger at Victor. "You only go to jail for 20 years!"

"Plus if you're good, you get parole, you may come out in about 15 years!" Yi Qin added.

"I don't really c..!" Victor Poh was knocked out by a blow to his back. He fell to the ground, as Nick shook his head.

"Idiot." Nick took the hands of the unconscious man and handcuffed them. "Tried to escape but did not realise I was behind him all the while." Basil forced a smile, then turned to look at Mrs Poh.

"What can we do?" Rebecca said. "This is just our life, our job."

"I guess so."

"Looks like I'm going to get my promotion anyway," she smiled, stepping into the car.

Narrator: In the year 2005, an elite police unit known as the Special Police Dekaranger protects Earth as a specialist unit within the Singapore Police Force. The unit is a division of the Space Police, a force dedicated to deterring crime throughout the universe.
The Alienizers, an alien mafia, have set their sights on Earth's abundance of valuables wanted all over the galaxy. It is up to the Special Police to stop them!

DekaBase. The team reports for work as usual, but they are are free as there is no case to take up. Only Weijie, Yi Qin and Christina were in the DekaRoom.

"Traffic Safety Rules and Regulations 101..." Weijie read out from the cover of a book Yi Qin was reading with full concentration. On the table was a stack of car magazines and newspapers, with the one on the top titled Hot Stuff. "Hot Stuff... Fast Autos.. Man!" Weijie picked up the magazines one by one, messing up the desktop. "You actually read car magazines? And a whole lot at one time!"

"Shut up Weijie!" Yi Qin snapped. "I'm trying to study for my driving practical!"

"Driving practical?" Weijie glared wide-eyed at her, and moved closer to her, staring inquisitively into her face. "You mean you haven't taken your driving test?"

"Yah, so?" Yi Qin asked. "There's nothing wrong!"

"Something is very wrong," Weijie said, scratching his chin.

"What's very wrong?" asked Nick as he stepped into the DekaRoom.

"Somebody who is obviously fascinated with cars hasn't taken her driving practical exam..." Weijie mocked in a sing-song manner.

"Yi Qin?!" Nick exclaimed. "You?! Really?!"

"Okay, okay!" Yi Qin was irritated. "I failed driving practical three times already okay?"

"Three times!" Weijie and Nick chorused together.

"Okay guys, stop disturbing her..." Christina said, laughing a little. The both of them left Yi Qin, muttering to herself, irritated, to continue with her studying.

"Make the turn slowly," the driving examiner said. Yi Qin was driving a relatively old model Nissan Sunny with the driving examiner at her side. There was the learning 'L' plate at the right side of the license plate of the car.

She pulled the steering wheel slowly, and turned round the corner, braking early to let some pedestrians cross the street.

"You're doing good," the examiner commended her.

"Thanks." Yi Qin smiled and continued her driving.

"I have received a tip-off, that someone is going to try assassinate the Japanese diplomat during the charity gala later tonight." Meng Yeow threw the case file onto the round table. Weijie looked through the file, and passed it to Basil. "Although I don't know who or what is going to make the attempt, we can be sure it's nobody human."

"I'm checking with Patrol department now." Justin entered the S.P.D database and looks for the list of aliens visiting Earth in the past two weeks.

"Were there any hiccups in the transfers?" Christina asked. "Anyone with criminal records?"

"Nope," Justin replied. "Not any major ones though, they are mostly minor crimes like petty theft and vandalism in their adolescent years. Which means the prospective assassin made it here without going through immigration."

"Should we call Patrol for the job?"

"No." Meng Yeow refused. "This incident is going to happen in Singapore. It will be OUR duty to prevent it from happening."

"Then what will we do without the power of five?" Rebecca asked.

"Use the power of four," Basil pointed out. "Yi Qin will not be able to join us till around 4.30pm."

"It's 3.55 now," Weijie said. "Traditionally, the gala starts at 6.30PM, and the Guest-of-Honour will arrive at 7PM to officiate the event."

"Then we'll use all the resources we have. I will enlist some assistance from Alpha division." Meng Yeow said. "Special Police Dekaranger... Get glory!"

"Roger!" the four Dekarangers saluted their commanding officer, and turned to leave.

"Wait!" Justin called them back.

"What?" Nick asked.

"I have three new vehicles for your own use, specifically for S.P.D." Justin said. "Basil and Rebecca, D-01, Weijie, H-02, Nick, yours is B-03 with Yi Qin."

"Huh?!" the team was confused.

"Just slot in your SP License," Justin smiled. "They're waiting in the carpark."

"Whatever they could be, I'm sure they're good," Basil said. "Thanks." The team of four ran out and left the room.

The four of them got out of the lift, and headed to the carpark. Near where three police cars and Meng Yeow's black Hyundai Tuscani were parked, they saw a clearly labelled area with 3 sliding gates - Gate 1 D-01, Gate 2 H-02 and Gate 3 B-03.

"D-01 Machine Doberman," a female mechanical voice spoke over the PA system, as Gate 1 opened to reveal a modified black and white police sports car. "H-02 Machine Husky," as Gate 2 opened, revealing a modified police motorcycle in the same colour fashion. "B-03 Machine Bull," the PA voice spoke, as Gate 3 opened to reveal a modified hatchback in the same colour fashion. The four Dekarangers headed to their designated vehicles, with Basil and Rebecca sharing Machine Doberman, Weijie going solo on Machine Husky and Nick alone on Machine Bull, which he was supposed to share with Yi Qin.

"A Toyota Celica eh," Basil realised when he saw the familiar Toyota logo on the steering wheel, and recalled the distinct headlight shape. He slotted in the SP License. "You ready?" Basil turned to ask Rebecca.

"Well..." she stopped for a while, and stared hard on the rank he was wearing. It was another defining moment for her, to ensure her promotion to that very rank.

"Rebecca?"

"Eh?" She was snapped back to reality. "Yeah, I'm ready."

"Are you all right?" he asked.

"Yeah, let's go, quick," Rebecca said. Basil looked at her again, shrugged his shoulders then started the car.

"Now let's head back to the school," the driving examiner said. Yi Qin nodded in agreement, eager to rejoin her colleagues.

She was driving towards a cross junction, when the three new S.P.D vehicles - Machine Husky in front, with Machine Doberman and Bull following closely behind

"Eh?!" Yi Qin exclaimed when she recognised the vehicles as S.P.D vehicles. "When did we ever..." she looked at the driving examiner, who was not paying any attention to her, and a sick smile came across her face. She stepped hard on the acceleration and sped towards the front, braking and turning the wheel, to make a dangerously sharp U-turn.

"What are you..?!"

"Sorry sir, police work." She continued speeding down the road, as the eyes of the examiner widened in shock.

The three S.P.D vehicles pulled up at the front of the studio. The four got off their vehicles and walked towards the studio. In the bushes near them, a humanoid alien stared at the with his yellow eyes.

"FAIL, FAIL!" the driving examiner screamed. "You have failed this test young lady!"

"I was merely doing what my is within my job scope!" Yi Qin tried to argue with her driving examiner, but she saw the way he glared at her, and she decided to ignore him. "Forget it. This driving test is not important to me anyway, the Earth is more important to me!" She said, and ran out from the car, into the studio.

"Qin?" Basil noticed his subordinate enter the room, in T-shirt and jeans with her warrant card clipped to her jeans.

"I thought you were at the driving test?" Weijie asked, in a failed attempt to mock her.

"I got fed up with the examiner." She checked her pockets to see if her SP License was there. "Great. I have it. Now what's up?"

"We thought of having someone go undercover at the gala later," Rebecca explained. Yi Qin looked at her clothes, and looked up. She was the only one out of uniform. As she tried to plead with the three guys with her puppy eyes, the three of them shook their heads and tried to control their desire to laugh by either turning away or covering their mouths.

"What, me?!" she cried.

"You'll surely look like a snobbish rich girl in this!" Rebecca laughed. She was at an expensive fashion boutique with Yi Qin and Christina. They had been given a budget by Meng Yeow for the extensive disguise operation. Rebecca and Christina were assigned to help Yi Qin dress up, make up and learn how to behave like a person of the upper-class.

"I still can't walk in these high heels!" Yi Qin complained.

"It's easy dear.." Christina comforted her. "All you need to do is feel comfortable with it... If you still can't do it properly by tonight, try to walk around for a while, then find some place to sit down."

Meanwhile, the three guys are sitting at a food court. They decided to have an early dinner while waiting for the girls. The commuters from the food court, along with those walking outside took glances at the three officers, who had their passes clipped above their left shirt pocket and SP Shooters in their right holsters. To them, it appeared as though something was wrong, or the policemen were slacking on the job.

"They're taking too long," Weijie said, looking at his watch before tucking into his food.

"It's already 5.35.." Basil said, scratching his chin. He looked towards the department store and saw them coming with their hands full of paper bags. Christina and Rebecca placed the paper bags on the empty table, and sighed in relief.

"Whoa..." Christina said. "I've never been part of an undercover operation before."

"I still think its funny to send Yi Qin behind the lines," Nick joked. Yi Qin glared at him as if wanting to eat him up.

"Why don't you wear the dress and high heels then, Mr. Wise Guy?" she retorted.

"Okay, okay, I'll shut up," Nick replied, throwing his hands up in a surrender motion.

"Come on, come on, girls can you go get your food," Basil said, in a commanding voice. "I'm afraid you'll have to eat in the cars. We're running out of time."

"Nah, we'll do the operation first," Rebecca said. "Yi Qin can eat at the gala, while Chris and I will do so while we stake out."

"Fair enough," a voice came from behind them. It was Meng Yeow, who had come in an unusual attire, a shirt with tie, and a pair of neatly-ironed trousers, which were a little short, revealing a portion of his socks. They did not match.

"Sir!" Basil said instantly, and the three guys immediately stood in respect for their Commanding Officer, although they glanced at him from toe in shock.

"What's up?" Meng Yeow asked. He looked down, and noticed his neatly-ironed trousers. "My wife did the ironing. Looks good to me."

"No Sir.. Your..." Nick said, pointing to Meng Yeow's socks. "Your socks don't match Sir." Meng Yeow looked down and laughed.

"I've gotta look lower-class and absent-minded if I'm to play a chauffeur!" he exclaimed.

"WHAT!?" came the reply from the six of his subordinates.

"That's right," Meng Yeow said. "I'm going to be Yi Qin's 'chauffeur' for the gala," he continued. "I've rented a Mercedes from my brother-in-law. I think it'll add to the believability. Nobody's going to make an attempt on the diplomat tonight."

"Yes Sir!" they chorused, drawing attention from the people, who seemed to be wondering why they were saluting a weirdly-attired man.

"You have to remain calm at all times," Meng Yeow said while driving. "I've been through an undercover operation before, but never to such a large extent, where the criminal involved is not of Earth origin."

"What if the diplomat gets.."

"Trust me," Meng Yeow shot back. "This is for real Yi Qin. If tonight passes fine and the criminal is arrested if he tries anything, you will be attending the coming Awards & Promotions ceremony."

"But..." She tried to argue, but looked at him again, and lowered her head. "Yes Sir.."

"We're here," Meng Yeow said, pulling up at the red carpet. He got out of the car, and opened the door for Yi Qin, who stepped out, looking very beautiful and refined, thanks to the hard work of her female colleagues.

"This way miss," one of the ushers showed Yi Qin the way to the studio.

It is around 7.30... Basil, Rebecca and Christina are in an unmarked car, Basil's personal Toyota Supra, parked one street away from the studio. He is drinking a cup of coffee, while watching the bright lights of the studio area sharply. The two girls are in the back having their much awaited dinner.

"Hey," Basil turned around. "Be careful, don't dirty my car."

"Huh?"

"I'm lazy to clean the inside," he smiled and turned back around. "I'll keep watch for any funny characters, you guys just enjoy the food till I call for action."

Weijie and Nick were hiding high above the studio floor, where the gala was situated. They were wearing harnesses and were ready to rappel down any time something happens.

"Heh.. I haven't done this since my teenage years," Nick said.

"I'm much better off, I did rappelling just two years back," Weijie laughed. "Anyway, Sir is counting on us for mission success. We can't let him down."

"Yeah, definitely man," Nick said, adjusting his headset to the right frequency.

Basil was busy finetuning his radio, when he spotted someone knocking out the security guards on patrol.

"Trouble!" he exclaimed. "Reb, let's go now!"

"All right!" she passed Christina her food container and ran out of the car with Basil.

"Red to Blue, someone's knocking out the guards, keep close watch," Basil reported the situation to Weijie and Nick.

"Roger that Red. Blue out." Weijie turned and nodded to Nick, who had also heard the sit-rep on his headset. Basil and Rebecca were coming closer to the suspect, and they saw that it was a being with lighted eyes.

"Alienizer!" Rebecca exclaimed.

"You won't get further than this!" Basil pointed at him.

"Really? Wanna try me?" the Alienizer asked.

"I wouldn't mind anyway. Change Standby!" Basil shouted, as they both took out their SP Licenses.

"Emergency," the both of them shouted, striking their right hands towards the left, with their left hands underneath. "DEKARANGER!" they shot their right hands outwards, pressing the centre button, forcing the panel to flip open, revealing their silver police badges.

DekaMetal formed over the both bodies, which colourized into DekaSuits.

"Face on!" they shouted. The helmets materialized over their heads.

"DekaRed!" he shouted, bending halfway downwards, facing the front with his right hand stretched out backwards.

"DekaYellow!" she posed, with her right hand pointing diagonally with two fingers outwards.

"Surrender now," DekaRed ordered. "Or face the consequences!" he flashed his SP License's police badge, identifying the both of them as officers of the Space Police.

"Special Police?" the Alienizer laughed. "Don't you know me? I am Jaakiru!"

"Well, I don't really care," DekaYellow snubbed him.

"I've killed numerous Special Police over the galaxies!" Jaakiru proclaimed, proud of his evil achievements.

"You bastard..." DekaRed tightened his fist...

DekaRed launched a kick at Jaakiru, which missed terribly, and Jaakiru managed to hit his back. DekaYellow ran up to him.

"Basil!" she shouted, grabbing his arm.

"You two are no match for me!" Jaakiru said, pulling out his rifle. "I never miss when it comes to shooting!" DekaRed and DekaYellow looked on as the alien pulled the trigger and shot at them. The bullets hit them, but their DekaSuits absorbed most of the damage, though it was impossible to control the impact. The both of them flew and hit the wall of a nearby building and fell to the ground, their DekaSuits deactivating themselves automatically.

"Argh..."

Meng Yeow was sitting inside his car in the carpark, listening to some Chinese songs on the radio, while Yi Qin was busy walking through the gala. She sat down at a bar-top and looked around, hoping that her disguise was not obvious. The camera moved towards the roof, and we can faintly see Weijie and Nick, doing a full surveillance on the studio area.

"Guys!" Christina shouted on the radio system, and caught the others' attention. Meng Yeow turned off the radio. Yi Qin's already nervous expression worsened.

"Yeah?" Weijie asked.

"An Alienizer has beaten down Basil and Rebecca," she said nervously. Their eyes widened, as they realised it was time to spring into action.

"We'll be.." Weijie said halfway, interrupted by a tap from Nick, who pointed downwards.

"Look, down there," Nick said. "He's here already." They saw a dark figure hiding near Yi Qin's position.

"Yi Qin," Weijie said. "The Alienizer is behind you. Move in the position of the Japanese diplomat now, don't look back, don't look up. Act as if you're trying to get a better look. This is an order. Brush through your hair if you hear me," he instructed carefully. Yi Qin brushed through her hair, upon hearing the order. She got up and walked slowly towards the

"Launch an attack now," Meng Yeow commanded, using the digital mini-LCD television on his car to view the happenings from Nick's view. The both of them climbed over the safety bars and held on tight, ready to make the drop.

"We're going in," Nick said. "5...4...3....2...." He and Weijie looked at each other, and nodded. "1." The both of them let go of the safety bar, and dropped downwards, with their left hands holding onto the top of the rope, and right hands on their backs, holding onto the other end of the rope. Jaakiru aimed carefully at the head of the Japanese diplomat, and fired!

"POLICE!" Weijie shouted at the top of his voice, shocking the entire room. Yi Qin jumped in front of the bullet, and took the shot just before it hit the diplomat.

"NANDAYO!!" The diplomat shouted, shocked and staring at Yi Qin, who fell to the ground. The security officers ushered him and the other VIPs away quickly. Weijie and Nick stopped their drop mid-air, and took out their SP Licenses.

"Emergency!" They released the harness and made a free-fall, while transforming into their DekaSuits, and landing on their feet. DekaBlue charged at Jaakiru with his D-Rod.

"Yi Qin!" DekaGreen shouted, and ran towards their fallen colleague. He bent down and carried her up. "Oi! Oi!" he shouted, while shaking her violently.

"Stop shaking me!" Yi Qin scolded him. "I'm all right!"

"Huh?" DekaGreen was confused. "I thought you got shot?"

"I would have died if not for the bullet proof vest I'm wearing!" Yi Qin exclaimed. "Did it ever occur to you that I seemed heavier than I appear to be?"

"Oh." DekaGreen realised his mistake. "I thought you just grew fat or something."

"Nick!" Yi Qin shouted at him angrily.

"Save it for later, we've got a criminal to arrest!" DekaGreen said, and ran off to assist DekaBlue. Yi Qin stood up, and took out her SP License.

"Emergency," Yi Qin shouted, striking the transformation pose. "DEKARANGER!" she shouted, pressing the button and revealing the silver police badge..

DekaMetal formed over her body and colourized into the pink DekaSuit.

"Face on!" she shouted, as her helmet formed over her head. "DekaPink!" she posed, with her left hand over her chest and right hand outstretched backwards.

DekaBlue, DekaGreen and DekaPink forced Jaakiru out of the studio, and were joined by DekaRed and DekaYellow, who were back in action.

"Want more?" Jaakiru mocked.

"I just think you benefitted from our lack of concentration," DekaRed clenched his fist.

"This rifle will work me wonders," Jaakiru displayed his rifle proudly. "I have taken the lives of many Special Police with this wonderful weapon, and now I am going to add five more to my list!"

"Bah, fat hope," DekaYellow dismissed his claims. Jaakiru raised his rifle in anger, and fired at the team. They jumped away, and drew their weapons. DekaYellow and DekaPink jumped at Jaakiru with their D-Sticks, and struck Jaakiru's weapon. DekaBlue and DekaGreen followed up with a double team using their D-Sniper and D-Blaster respectively. The shots effectively knocked away Jaakiru's rifle.

"My turn!" DekaRed crossed his D-Magnums and jumped. He somersaulted in the air, before firing a multiple barrage of shots around and at Jaakiru, attacking him whilst confining him in an impregnable space. He landed with the team, as they regrouped.

"I'm not going to waste time with you infidels!" Jaakiru said, clutching his shoulder. He raised his hand up. "Cannon Gladiator!" he shouted, as his giant Kaijuuki lowered itself slowly from the sky, and landed on the ground.

"He's brought out the big gun," DekaBlue pointed at the Kaijuuki.

"DekaMachines, launch!" DekaRed called out through his SP License. As the DekaMachines raced towards them, the five of them jumped into the cockpits.

"Tokusou Gattai!" DekaRed pulled the handle and flipped the three switches in front of him as soon as he landed in his seat. The other four followed his action, as each of the five DekaMachines raced to combine with each other.

"Build up, Dekaranger Robo!" the five shouted, all in their individual cockpits. The Dekaranger Robo stood in the night, its flashing sirens lighting up the area.

"Hah." Jaakiru flicked a few switches on his control panel. "Not even worth my time!"

"Well, your time is almost up anyway," DekaPink said. "We're not going to give you any leeway this time!"

"Bullshit!" Jaakiru shot back, as Cannon Gladiator raised its sword and struck in Dekaranger Robo's direction.

"Judgement Sword!" DekaGreen commanded. The SPD weapon deflected the attack from the Kaijuuki. Cannon Gladiator's sword flew and struck the ground outside Mt. Alvernia hospital.

The two robots grabbed hold of each other and pushed each other around. Dekaranger Robo stepped backwards and accidentally hit a portion of a main road, damaging the floodlights.

"Damn it," DekaBlue cursed. "The floodlights are out."

"I can't risk the sick in Mt. Alvernia," DekaRed said. "As recorded in the Universal Criminal Database," DekaRed raised his SP License forward. "Bukosu-seijin Jaakiru! Charged with the murders of Special Police officers across numerous galaxies, and the attempted assassination of a Japanese diplomat...Judgement!" He pressed the button.

"Judgement time!" a mechanical voice from the SP License called out. The whole area turned dark, as the red 'X' and cyan 'O' flashed alternately. A clock appeared over the Alienizer, ticking rapidly and alternating the symbols. The red 'X' glowed on the top portion of the SP License.

"Deletion approved!" the others shouted, in their cockpits.

"Signal Cannon," DekaGreen activated the blaster of the Dekaranger Robo.

"Patoenergy, full charge!" the five shouted together. The energy levels in their Heads-Up Displays (HUDs) rose, as the robot held out the Signal Cannon and it charged with red, blue and yellow energy - the colours of its barrel tips.

"Five!" DekaPink shouted. The others continued in descending order.

"Four!"

"Three!"

"Two!"

"One!" DekaRed rounded it off, as...

"Justice Flasher!" they shouted together, pointing their index and middle fingers in front. A powerful blast shot out from its barrel, and went straight for Cannon Gladiator. Jaakiru jumped out and escaped, just as his Kaijuuki exploded.

"Case, closed!" DekaRed said, giving a thumbs down to the exploding Kaijuuki, unaware of the alien's escape. It began to rain as the robot stood glorious, with Meng Yeow and Christina smiling from different positions.

Later that night, it was still raining.

"He brought her into the room, and caressed her lightly," Adeline read. She was lying on the couch, eating a chocolate bar, while reading a horror novel containing stories written by a certain Joseph Tan.

Basil came out of his room, after a shower, wearing a Nike tshirt and shorts. He scratched his head and sat down near Adeline, turning on the television with the remote control.

"The SPD provided temporary floodlights with their DekaMachines along Lornie Road, just across from Caldecott Hill where a giant robot battle took place," a news reporter on TV said. "It appears that the police robot was forced onto the road, knocking off one of the overhead floodlights."

"Sheesh," Basil muttered.

"He sliced her neck with a kitchen knife, and watched slowly as the blood spurted from her neck. He laughed maniacally as she screamed in pain, but there was no escape from his sadistic fetish."

"What in the world are you reading!?" Basil exclaimed. "Horror novels right smack in the middle of the night?" he said again. He looked at the title of the book. "Horror Never Dies.. Sounds like a bloody rip off Tomorrow Never Dies, where did you get this crap anyway?"

"Aiyar kor, it's written by my campus friend," Adeline said. "He just got it published today, can't I read it or something?"
("Kor" is a slang word for older brother in Singapore)

"Very gruesome details," he commented. "Girls shouldn't be reading such nonsense at night, especially on rainy nights like this!" he said, just as a bright streak of lightning flashed and thunder struck.

"You're a police officer for God's sake!" Adeline exclaimed, surprised at her brother's attitude towards horror novels.

"Yeah, yeah," Basil said. "Okay, I'm going off to sleep, I'm still working tomorrow. Night."

"Night kor," Adeline said, as Basil went back to his room, as she continued reading the novel in the stormy night.

Singapore Management University. Adeline is sitting at the foyer, engrossed in her friend's horror novel, Horror Never Dies again, while waiting for her brother to pick her up. She is so engrossed, that she does not notice a boy creeping up to her from behind.

"BAH!" the boy pushed her from behind, and gave her a shock.

"Ahh!" Adeline screamed. She turned around, and gave a grumpy face. "Joseph!"

"Sorry," Joseph laughed. "Guess what? My book is the 3rd best selling book in the Borders' list!" he exclaimed, taking a seat opposite her.

"Really?" Adeline asked. "So, does this call for a celebration or what?"

"How about tonight? I don't mind," Joseph said.

"Well... I'm not really sure..." Adeline said. At the corner of her eye, she saw a black & white car coming in. It had a siren. "Huh?" she turned around and looked. It was Basil driving the Machine Doberman, drawing stares from the campus students.

"Who's that?" Joseph asked.

"My brother," she replied.

"Your brother is a police officer?" Joseph enquired again. Basil, not in uniform, stepped out of the car and motioned to Adeline to get in.

"Yeah.. I gotta go now...Bye!" she slung her bag and grabbed her books, waving to Joseph and then heading towards the car. Suddenly there was a sharp and piercing scream from the northeast.

"What the.." Basil muttered to himself. He looked in the direction of the scream, and immediately ran towards it.

"Kor?!" Adeline exclaimed, shocked by her brother's reaction.
(Once again, Kor is a slang word for older brother in Singapore)

"Heh.. Police officers.." Joseph sneered silently to himself.

Guest Starring: Gareth Lim as himself

A police line is rolled up at the scene of the crime. A white cloth had been put over the body.

The scene, which was usually the most remote place in the school, had become lively with the huge crowd standing around outside the police line. Basil, who was already at the crime scene, naturally becomes the first investigation officer on the scene. The forensic scientist is led into the cordon by two constables.

"Hi, Dr. Su, I presume?" Basil shook the hand of the forensic scientist. "Staff Sergeant Basil Yeo, S.P.D."

"S.P.D?" Dr. Su raised an eyebrow. "It must have been something big to have S.P.D investigating this case."

"No," Basil replied. "I just happened to be here to fetch my sister for lunch when I heard a scream."

"Ohh..." Dr. Su understood the situation.

"Yeah, so I'll leave you to handle this, while I question the girl,"

"Ok. Sure. No problem at all." Dr. Su went to conduct a check on the body.

Changi International Airport Terminal 1. A plane from Hong Kong has just landed, and out of Belt 23 steps a man with jet black hair, wearing T-shirt and jeans, and carrying a large suitcase. Meng Yeow was waiting for him.

"Gareth!" Meng Yeow called out to his friend.

"Hey!" Gareth noticed him and went over. "It's been five good years bro," Gareth said.

"Haha.." Meng Yeow laughed. "You're back for good this time?"

"Definitely," Gareth replied. "So Sir..."

"Cut the formalities," Meng Yeow said. "You're going for the senior officers' course in a month!"

"Yah, yah," Gareth laughed. "It's not even confirmed yet..."

"So, usual place?" Meng Yeow asked, as both men stepped out of the airport's terminal.

"Yeah, no problem," Gareth said. "Haven't gone clubbing for quite some time.." he said, as they both walked to Meng Yeow's car. Unknown to them, a shadowed alien was watching their every move.

"So, you have a grudge against this guy..." Aburera asked the alien from earlier.

"Bastard.." the alien growled. "He caused me to become like this!" the alien stepped out from the shadows, and we can see he has a half-cybernetic body.

"What happened?"

"Three years ago..." Ben G recalled. "I was trying to smuggle some mega-gestrine into the Solar System..and this S.P.D officer..Gan Meng Yeow..." Ben G clenched his cybernetic fists tight. "He forced my vehicle to crash on the Moon and caused me to be paralysed in the explosion..."

"So..." Aburera was trying to instigate him. "You want to take revenge don't you?"

"I've lived the past three years waiting for this day.."

"Kill his partner and take his wife," Aburera said.

"Will you help me with it?" Ben G took out a wad of universal currency.

"I don't mind providing you the resources," Aburera grabbed the money and counted greedily. "I also don't mind helping you take care of his five brats."

"Five brats?" Ben G questioned. "You mean he is not working alone anymore?"

"Not anymore..." Aburera said. "But you can consider them out of your way.."

"So, Dr. Su, what's the report?" Basil asked while stepping back into the cordon.

"The killer had a very distinct style.. Reminiscent of one murder just last week," the forensic scientist said.

"Which one?" he asked.

"Come over here, I'll show you," Dr. Su said. They walked over to the corpse, which was covered with a white canvas. Dr. Su lifted the top, revealing the head and neck portion of the body. There was a T-shaped cut on the neck.

"The Hotel 81 murder," Basil recalled.

"Precisely," Dr. Su said. "Same modus operandi, same cutting style...Judging from the bruises on the neck and shoulders, as well as the handprints on her wrists, the deceased's hands were probably grabbed, and she was pushed against the wall hard, many times."

"How about the bruises on her neck?"

"After forcing her on the wall, the killer must have turned her around violently and knocked her on the neck, which explains the overlapping handprints on her wrists," Dr. Su said. Basil looked at the T-shaped cut again.

"And can you deduce the murder weapon?"

"I suspect it might be a fruit knife," the scientist explained again. "To commit a murder in such an open surrounding, the killer needed to act fast. A fruit knife can be concealed easily and it also can produce very sharp cuts."

"This guy is brutal..." Basil saw his sister calling out to him. He went out of the cordon. "Yeah?"

"What's going on?" Adeline asked, as Basil's SP License rang.

"Murder. T-shaped cut," Basil said, and quickly went away to answer the SP License.

"T-shaped cut?" Adeline's eyes widened as if she knew what he was talking about. She took out Horror Never Dies from her bag, flipped to a page and skimmed through, looking for the same murder. "Kor! Here it.." she looked up, and Basil was already gone.

Gareth stepped out of his apartment and took a lift down to the underground carpark. As he whistled past the cars of the other residents, there was somebody in a black cloak following him from behind. A lorry zoomed past him, and from the reflection in the windscreen Gareth could see the black cloak dash behind a van. He stopped dead in his tracks.

"Come out!" he shouted. "I know you're following me!"

The view moved closer to Gareth's back as he turned around. The whole scene turned black.

It was getting dark. The DekaMachines have been launched. Patogyrer is flying in the air while the others are racing on the ground.

"I wonder why Sir is not in the base.." DekaPink mumbled.

"Great timing," DekaRed said from his cockpit. "I was in the middle of this SMU murder.."

"SMU?" DekaYellow asked. "Isn't that your sister's school?"

"Yah," DekaRed replied. "Somebody got murdered with a T-shaped cut when I was picking my little sister for dinner, in the end we didn't even get to eat."

"Sorry to spoil your party but, I think I see what we're heading at," DekaBlue said.

"Target ID report shows it is a Devil Capture model," DekaPink explained from her analysis.

"Devil Capture.." DekaGreen said. "I think we've never faced one before."

"Ok then.." DekaRed said. "Tokusou Gattai!" The Striker Arms pulled Patoarmour and Patosigner towards it and combined into the torso and arms. The torso and arms flew up and landed, locking Patogyrer and Patorailer.

"Build up, Dekaranger Robo!" the five shouted, all in their individual cockpits. "Freeze!" Dekaranger Robo caught the attention of Devil Capture by pointing the Signal Cannon at it.

"Let's see whose inside that robot.." DekaBlue said. He opened and pressed a few buttons on his SP License. The holographic report maximises an image of a Batsuroid in all five cockpits.

"What?" DekaRed was stunned. "It's only a mere pawn.."

"Then what is his whole purpose?" DekaYellow asked.

"He must be here to distract us!" DekaPink concluded.

"Then what's the real crime?" DekaYellow pondered.

"No time to waste, Weijie, Yi Qin," DekaRed said. "You guys go look for Sir. We'll take care of things here."

"Ok!" the both of them shouted. They unbuckled their seat-belts and jumped out of their cockpits.

"Now its just you and us," DekaRed said. Devil Capture fired a few shots as DekaGreen made a quick swerve to the right. The police robot raised its Signal Cannon and fired multiple shots at Devil Capture, before braking to a halt.

"Lucky one Nick," DekaYellow said.

"You can count on me!" DekaGreen replied.

"Judgement Sword!" DekaRed called out for the weapon. As Dekaranger Robo grabbed its sword, a large object pierced out through the street, and caused the robot to topple over.

"Argh!" the three Dekarangers growled.

Already at night, Meng Yeow was still waiting for Gareth outside the club where they used to hang out when they were partners in the Police Force. He was walking to the riverside when his Master License rang.

"Sir!" came Weijie's voice on the Master License.

"Yes Weijie?"

"We've encountered trouble, but it seems to be only a distraction from a bigger crime," Weijie explained.

"Where are you guys now?"

"We're in the car," Weijie said. "We're just about turning into..." Weijie looked at the road sign above, as he drove under it. "Moulmein Road."

"Come to Boat Quay now," Meng Yeow instructed.

"Roger. Out," Weijie replied, pressing a button to turn off communications.

Three other objects protruded around the fight scene, creating a square-shaped laser-wall barrier. The Dekaranger Robo was now trapped in a ring.

"Th..This.." DekaGreen stammered.

"Now we're left with him," DekaYellow said.

"Rubbish!" DekaRed shouted. He attempted to break the laser-wall, but it sent circuits flying throughout their cockpits. "Argh...So it is true!" he said. The Batsuroid merely laughed at them, and lunged forward with its sharp blade-arm.

The Machine Bull screeched and braked right in front of McDonald's outlet. Weijie and Yi Qin stepped out, and headed straight for the riverside. In all the bright lights and fervor of one of the most hip nightspots in town, it was almost difficult to spot Meng Yeow.

Both of them rushed down the area by the side of the river, as they passed each club, restaurant or gift shop, they looked in all directions. Finally, Yi Qin managed to spot Meng Yeow, who was standing by the lamp-post at the side of the river.

"Ah, you guys are here," Meng Yeow said.

"Sir what are you doing here?" Yi Qin asked.

"I was waiting for my friend.." Meng Yeow said. "So what have you got?"

"We suspect that the Kaijuuki is only a distraction to a bigger crime," Weijie said. Meng Yeow thought about it for a while, then his cellphone rang. He pressed the Answer button.

"Hello?" Meng Yeow spoke into the receiver.

"Inspector Gan," the low and dark voice came. "If you want to save Gareth, come to Keppel Harbour, now," the voice said, and hung up.

"Hello?" Meng Yeow shouted. "HELLO?" Weijie and Yi Qin looked at him strangely. He took the phone away from his ear. "****."

"What Sir?"

"I think this is the big crime. Quick. We have no time!" He ran towards the direction of the Machine Bull.

Keppel Harbour. Meng Yeow stopped the car at the gate, and ran into the area with Weijie and Yi Qin. Meng Yeow stepped up to the entrance of the warehouse, the moonlight making his shadow extremely long. Weijie and Yi Qin's shadows also joined his.

"So why are we here again?" Yi Qin asked.

"Inspector!" Ben G's voice thundered throughout the warehouse. "You think you can save your friend?" A light shone on Gareth, who was hanging from the ceiling, unconscious with his hands tied to his back. Meng Yeow ran deeper into the warehouse. Weijie and Yi Qin immediately followed behind him.

"You..." Meng Yeow growled in anger. "Who are you?!" he shouted. "Reveal yourself!"

"You don't know me?" Ben G asked. "Three years ago... You destroyed my life on your Moon!" The truth struck Meng Yeow, as he looked up, and saw Ben G step out of the shadows.

"It can't be..." Meng Yeow's eyes widened in shock and anger, as he remembered clearly, chasing Ben G in space and forcing him to crash-land on the Moon. "Kajimeri-seijin.. Ben G.."

"So you still remember?" Ben G asked. "Ahahaha..." he laughed loudly. "How do you like my new... modifications?" he mocked.

"Sir, we can handle this," Weijie said, stepping forward with Yi Qin.

"No!" Meng Yeow pushed him behind. "Don't you look down on me... You haven't seen what I can do.." Meng Yeow said, holding the Master License in his right hand.

"Sir..."

"Emergency," Meng Yeow shouted, striking the transformation pose. "DEKAMASTER!" he shouted, pressing the button and revealing his gold police badge with extra patterns to signify his position as Commanding Officer (Earth). DekaMetal formed over his body with pieces of armour, and formed into his DekaSuit.

"Face on!" he shouted, as his helmet formed over her head. There stood DekaMaster in the shadows, with his distinctive suit, which was very different from an ordinary Dekaranger, but retaining the S.P.D look, with the number 100 on his chest armour. He had a samurai sword with a unique dog head holstered on the left of his belt. At this moment, Weijie and Yi Qin stepped into the warehouse, and saw their commanding officer change into a DekaSuit of his own.

"Sir..." Weijie was stunned.

"Oh my god..." Yi Qin covered her mouth in shock.

"Striking down a hundred evils..." he said, moving his pointed right index and middle fingers towards his right. He threw both his hands in front, as if grabbing a ball. "Guardian dog of hell, DekaMaster!" he pronounced, moving his body towards the left and then back to the right, striking a pose, with his right index and middle fingers pointing forward, and his left fist raised halfway, clenched. The 100 on his chest glowed with fire, lighting up the darkness of the factory.

"You finally dare to fight me... Inspector..." Ben G taunted.

"Hand him over.." DekaMaster said. "Now!" he shouted, placing both his hands on the handle of his samurai sword. He pulled it out from its sheath and raised it horizontally to the ground, at eye-level, revealing a rusty blade.

"Give it up, Inspector..." Ben G said. "That old blade won't work on me anymore!"

"Wait till you see what it does..." DekaMaster said. "D-Sword.. Vega!" he pressed a button on his sword, forcing open the dog mouth. A blue whirlwind engulfed the its blade as it transformed from an old rusty blade to a sharp and shiny blade. He held the handle firmly, and prepared for battle...

DekaMaster held the D-Sword with his right hand, and pointed it at Ben G, while taking short and cautious steps to his left.

"You'd better let him go now or else..." DekaMaster growled.

"Fine."

"Huh?" DekaMaster, Weijie and Yi Qin were stunned by his statement.

"I'll let him go, but it won't make any difference anyway!" Ben G shouted. He threw a knife at the rope from which Gareth was hanging from, and it dropped.

"No!" DekaMaster jumped and grabbed his friend, and landed on top of a few crates. Ben G attempted to walk out of the warehouse, but Weijie and Yi Qin blocked his way.

"Not so fast," Weijie said.

"Get out of my way!" Ben G used the blaster affixed to his right hand and fired a laser at their feet, blasting them away. Both of them hit a barrage of sandbags, and hit the ground, groaning in pain. "I've got more work to do.." he said, and disappeared from sight.

"Sir!" Weijie got up and ran towards Meng Yeow, who was carrying Gareth. "How.. Who is he?" Meng Yeow was silent. He bent and put Gareth down on the floor, and stood back up.

"He's dead." Meng Yeow looked down, his eyes filled with sadness. "Gareth.. Ben G will pay. This will be my last promise to you..." Meng Yeow said, clenching his fist tightly. Weijie and Yi Qin looked at each other, both not wanting to speak a word.

"I've got more work to do..." Ben G's words flashed inside Meng Yeow's mind while he was standing by Gareth's corpse.

"Carrie!" Meng Yeow shouted and ran out of the factory. Weijie and Yi Qin nodded to each other and followed him once again. Meng Yeow grabbed his Master License, and contacted the three Dekarangers in the robot. "Basil!"

"Sir?"

"Abandon the robot NOW!" Meng Yeow said. "Go to my place, and make sure nobody touches Carrie!"

"But Sir..." DekaRed tried to talk while blocking attacks from Devil Capture.

"Don't Sir me.." Meng Yeow shouted. "Go now!"

"Roger!" DekaRed shouted. "Sorry guys, but an order is an order," DekaRed said. He grabbed his SP License from the console and jumped out of his cockpit.

Basil was speeding down the nearly-jammed East Coast Parkway in Machine Doberman, swerving through lanes, with its sirens blaring. Suddenly there was a call on the radio.

"SPD D-01," the unfamiliar voice came. "SPD D-01."

"SPD D-01 report," Basil pressed a button and reported.

"This is TP1727," the voice said. "Do you need us to clear the road ahead for you?"

"Sure, I don't mind," Basil said. "Thanks," he turned off the radio conversation just as he saw two Traffic Police motorcycles zoom past by his sides, turning on their sirens too. The officers saluted him, and he returned the salute to them.

The two Yamaha motorcycles drove ahead and directed all the vehicles to the side, leaving a road in the centre for Basil to speed through.

DekaGreen and DekaYellow were not doing well against Devil Capture. The enemy robot threw them into a reservoir, creating a large splash. Dekaranger Robo floated up to the surface of the water slowly.

"We need the power of five!" DekaGreen said. "Or we wouldn't be able to carry out Justice Flasher!"

"Argh..." DekaYellow groaned.

Machine Bull pulled up behind Machine Doberman at the foyer of the condominium block where Meng Yeow lived. Meng Yeow, Weijie and Yi Qin dashed out of the car and into the lift lobby. They were about to rush up the stairs by the lobby when something dropped from the sky with a loud thud.

"Basil!" Yi Qin screamed upon realising what had fell, and ran towards her leader, who was lying flat on the ground, holding the D-Magnums in his hands. Weijie and Meng Yeow followed behind her. The DekaRed suit deactivated, and left Basil lying, injured.

"That guy is strong..." Weijie said. Meng Yeow received a call on his cellphone. He recognised the cold, gruff voice almost instantly.

"Ben G!" Meng Yeow shouted.

"If you want your wife back... Meet me at the only place on Earth which can be seen from the Moon..." Ben G said. "Go there at 2pm tomorrow.." he continued, afterwhich the connection was cut.

"The only place on Earth which can be seen from the Moon..." Meng Yeow pondered.

"Chang Chen Sir!" Weijie answered him almost immediately.
(Chang Chen '长城' is the Great Wall of China in the Mandarin language)

"Yes..." Meng Yeow said. "Good thinking!" Meng Yeow commended his subordinate, patting him on the back. "Now let's get Basil back to DekaBase..."

DekaBlue and DekaPink ran towards Dekaranger Robo.

"We're back guys!" DekaPink shouted. The both of them were about to jump back into their cockpits when Devil Capture disappeared into thin air.

"What the.." DekaBlue said. "It disappeared!"

"But why?" DekaYellow wondered.

"Damn..." DekaBlue turned around and looked up. "Its job of distracting us must have been done already, that's why.."

"How is he?" Rebecca asked, standing outside the medical facility on level 4 of the DekaBase. It was already about 1AM in the morning.

"No serious injuries," Christina said. "He will definitely wake up tomorrow. Meanwhile I think I'd better call Adeline to tell her what happened.."

"I should not have sent him against Ben G alone.." Meng Yeow said.

"Ben G?" Nick asked.

"It's a long story," Meng Yeow revealed. "Let's go back to the DekaRoom, and I will fill you in."

Meng Yeow had related his story to the team, revealing his DekaMaster persona to Rebecca and Nick along the way.

"Ben G is too strong with his new body.." Meng Yeow said. "Even my own power cannot defeat him.."

"Don't say that Sir," Rebecca stopped him. "You stopped him once, as a human," she said. "But you are DekaMaster now!"

"You may be right.." Meng Yeow told her. "I will go meet him tomorrow, in China."

"We'll back you up," Nick said.

"No." Meng Yeow stood up. "This is my fight, to save my wife, and to redeem Gareth's death," the team looked at their Commanding Officer with solemn expressions. "From tomorrow till end of this week, you guys will be on official leave. I'll fill in release forms for you."

It is 12.30PM. Meng Yeow rushes down the corridors of the DekaBase, and into the hangar. He climbs into Patogyrer, and activates the system with his Master License. He took out a locket from his jacket, and opened it. Inside was their wedding picture.

"Carrie," Meng Yeow said to himself, just before taking off. "Wait for me."

Patogyrer launched into the sky.

Pearl, Adeline's friend from the magazine company, is with Basil at a cafe.

"Basil," Pearl said. "I think Adeline is asking for it.."

"Huh?"

"I don't see any good in this Joseph fellar she's seeing at the moment.."

"What the?!" Basil had a shock. "You mean she is with that guy?" he shook his head. "I don't like him."

"She is meeting him at a hotel room tonight.."

"HOTEL!?" Basil shouted, drawing attention from people around him. He was now in absolute shock.

"Not only that.. I wouldn't have told you anything if they were up to something intimate," Pearl said. "But I read through his book and all the murders in the papers, the

"I'm very sure," Pearl said. "This book was only on shelves two weeks ago, but the first murder was committed days before the book was released."

"Did you tell her?" Basil asked.

"No!" Pearl said. "She switched off her mobile!"

"What hotel?"

"Fragrance Hotel," Pearl said.

"Thanks," Basil nodded and left the cafe hurriedly.

Patogyrer landed in a valley in central China, where the Great Wall area was the least populated, and the extra-terrestrial signal was the strongest. He got down from the gyrocopter, and searched out the area alone.

"BEN G!" Meng Yeow shouted at the top of his voice. "COME OUT NOW!"

A figure stepped out of one of the sentry posts. It was Ben G.

"So you really have come.." Ben G said. "You know why I picked this place?" Meng Yeow looked at Ben G, confused. "It is because, when you struck me down on the Moon..."

Flashback to three years ago, when Meng Yeow was chasing Ben G in an S.P.D spacecraft. He shot down Ben G's UFO, which landed on the Moon. Ben G was barely able to crawl out of his craft. He looked to Earth, and saw the Great Wall of China.

"Inspector Gan Meng Yeow...." Ben G growled. "I swear I will defeat you in that place on Earth..."

Seconds later, his craft exploded, but somehow he managed to survive.

"I saw this magnificient structure, and I swore to defeat you here!" Ben G proclaimed. "Don't worry.. I have not taken her life.. But I will, if you lose!"

"TRY ME.." Meng Yeow growled in anger.

"Very well," Ben G replied his opponent. He raised his right hand. "Show yourselves!" Meng Yeow looked around, as a ton of Anaroids appeared at the top of the mountains.

"What!?" Meng Yeow was stunned. "You dirty.." he clenched his fist in anger. "Fine.. I will take up your challenge..." he put his right hand over his jacket, and threw it in the air. The locket escaped from the jacket, and flew higher. During this short moment, Meng Yeow took out his Master License... "Emergency," Meng Yeow shouted, striking the transformation pose. "DEKAMASTER!" he shouted, pressing the button as DekaMetal formed over his body.

"Face on!" he shouted, as his helmet formed over her head. DekaMaster stood there with his samurai sword in its sheath. He raised his right hand and grabbed the locket as the jacket dropped onto the ground. "This.. will ensure my victory..."

"Striking down a hundred evils..." he said beginning his pose. "Guardian dog of hell, DekaMaster!" he pronounced, while completing his pose. The 100 on his chest glowed with fire, a sign of his anger.

"Get him!" Ben G shouted to the Anaroids, who jumped down, running straight for DekaMaster. DekaMaster put both hands on the handle of his sword, and pulled it out.

"D-Sword.. Vega!" he pressed a button on his sword, forcing open the dog mouth. A blue whirlwind engulfed the its blade as it transformed from an old rusty blade to a sharp and shiny blade. He ran towards the whole bunch of Anaroids, and struck them down one by one. As he struck each one, blue lightning surged through their circuits. He stood in one place, slashing down all the Anaroids which foolishly dared to challenge him.

Joseph was in the room with Adeline, who was reading a book. Behind her, he took out a fruit knife, and polished it slowly. He went to the window, and looked out. He saw Basil coming out of a Toyota Supra.

"****."

"What?" Adeline asked. Joseph kept his knife hurriedly.

"Nothing.." Joseph said, culling her curiosity. She continued reading the book, as he crept up to her back.

"Stop playing!" Adeline laughed playfully. Suddenly the door was kicked open, as Joseph grabbed Adeline and put a knife at her neck.

"Put the bloody knife DOWN!" Basil ordered him. He was pointing a revolver at Joseph.

"Kor!" Adeline screamed. "Joseph! What's going on?"

"He's the T-slit murderer!" Basil revealed to his sister.

"They had to die!" Joseph said in a deranged manner. "They criticised my book..."

"Now you don't have to do this.. Just put the damn knife down, and everything will be fine.." Basil said again.

"Shut up!" Joseph shouted at him. "If your stupid sister never indulged herself in my stories..She wouldn't be here today!"

"Jerk!" Adeline screamed. "Let me go!"

"Adeline!" Basil said. "Stay calm..." Adeline looked in her brother's eyes, and knew what he was going to do...

"Aargh!" DekaMaster growled, and kicked three Anaroids. He jumped high into the sky and spiralled down, creating a gigantic explosion, which exterminated all the Anaroids on the spot. DekaMaster jumped out of the explosion, and landed on the walkway atop the Great Wall, near where Ben G was standing.

"I've fulfilled my title, now to hit 101.." he said, pointing the tip of the sword at Ben G.

"You.." Ben G growled while showing a fist at DekaMaster.

"I'm here to claim my victory," DekaMaster said. He jumped, did a somersault in the air and raised his sword. Ben G grabbed the blade with his left claw.

"Hahaha..." Ben G laughed. "Victo..." DekaMaster kicked him in the chest, making his apparant triumph short-lived. DekaMaster slashed Ben G twice in the chest, then kicked him again, while rebounding backwards. Ben G attempted a few lasers at him, but the expert samurai warrior blocked the lasers with the D-Sword. DekaMaster lowered his sword, and looked at his opponent.

"Amazed now?" DekaMaster asked.

"Infuriating!" Ben G shouted. He ran towards DekaMaster with his claw outstretched. DekaMaster turned around, and attacked Ben G with his elbow, then pointed the blade of the D-Sword at his neck.

"Kajimeri-seijin Ben G!" DekaMaster pronounced. "Charged with the crimes of murder, kidnapping and intent to harm Special Police..." DekaMaster twirled the D-Sword, bringing it in front of him, then turned around and produced a vertical slash on Ben G, sending him flying. Ben G hit the ground about 30 metres away. DekaMaster flipped his sword, and held it with his left hand, reaching behind with his right hand to take out the Master License. "Judgement!"

"Judgement time!" a mechanical voice from the Master License called out. The whole area turned dark, as the red 'X' and cyan 'O' flashed alternately. A clock appeared over Ben G, ticking rapidly and alternating the symbols. The red 'X' glowed on the top portion of the Master License.

"Deletion approved!" DekaMaster pronounced, slotting his Master License back. "D-Sword Vega!" he raised his sword into the air, as blue lightning struck around. He flicked the handle and brandished its exquisite wolf design. DekaMaster brought the sword down slowly in a circular pattern, as the police badge appeared behind him. He swung the sword to the side and held the sword with both hands, as the blue lightning struck the ground around him, creating fiery orange flames around him. "Aaargh..." DekaMaster growled, as he glided forward through the fire, holding the handle of the D-Sword firmly.

"What the..." Ben G muttered as DekaMaster approached him. "No!"

"VEGA SLASH!" DekaMaster struck Ben G with a horizontal slash. White lightning erupted from the blow, as Ben G stopped dead in his tracks and fell onto the ground. DekaMaster's glide stopped, and he stood stationary in a samurai pose as Ben G's upper body fell off. Both parts exploded, as DekaMaster spun his sword and slotted it into the sheath. He turned around and pointed a thumbs up, then down. "Got you."

"Down!" Basil shouted to his sister. Adeline horse-kicked Joseph and bent down, allowing Basil space to fire a shot.

BANG! The next second, Joseph was on the ground, with a gunshot in his forehead.

"Kor.." Adeline cried in her brother's arms. She didn't know what to say.

"It's alright now.."

"Carrie!" DekaMaster ran to the sentry post where Carrie was being held, and struck down two Anaroids who were guarding her.

"Meng Yeow!" Carrie shouted. "Is that you?"

"Yes, it is," DekaMaster said. He used the D-Sword to cut her free.

"I'm so glad!" Carrie threw her arms around him, as he deactivated his armour, and smiled to her.

"You might be, but I can't be too glad..." Meng Yeow said.

"Why?"

"Gareth... That alien I struck down.." Meng Yeow said, almost to the brink of tears. "He killed Gareth, and I was unable to stop it..."

"Don't feel too sad.." Carrie said. "I'm sure Gareth understands, and I'm sure somewhere up there, he will be happy to know you did something right for him."

"I hope so..." Meng Yeow said.

"He was a good officer, and he contributed alot to the Singapore and Hong Kong Police Forces, during his five years with the HKPF," a Superintendent read out. Basil, Weijie, Nick, Rebecca, Yi Qin, Meng Yeow and Christina, together with many other officers and the six pall-bearers, were dressed in No.1 white ceremonial uniform. The female officers were wearing skirts instead of trousers. Meng Yeow, as a commissioned officer, was entitled to carry a sword, and as Gareth's ex-partner, hold the appointment of Parade Commander.

This is the Singapore Police Force No.1 ceremonial uniform. The peak caps are of male officers while the round hats are of females. Unfortunately I do not have a good picture of the ceremonial sword

"Up!" Meng Yeow commanded. all the uniformed officers, whether in white ceremonial or blue working dress, saluted the coffin, which was covered with the Singapore flag, with Gareth's blue peak cap and a wreath. Basil and Weijie marched to both ends of the coffin, Basil to the head and Weijie to the bottom. Nick marched to the centre, and removed the peak cap with both hands and passed it to Rebecca. Yi Qin, who was standing by the other side, removed the wreath from the coffin.

Basil and Weijie, with both hands, held the corners of the Singapore flag, and folded it properly, before handing it to Gareth's parents. Rebecca also handed the peak cap to them. Meng Yeow stood by their side, giving his former partner a final salute as the coffin was lowered into the ground...

DekaRed and Masked Rider Pegasus fire two shots at each other with their respective weapons - D-Magnums and TwinRisers.

DekaRed jumps and somersaults while Pegasus rolls on the ground. They both continue firing, until they stand up together side by side.

"Special Police Dekaranger!" DekaRed shouted.

"Masked Rider Pegasus!" Pegasus shouted.

"Super Hero Hour!" Both of them shouted together.

Narrator: In the year 2005, an elite police unit known as the Special Police Dekaranger protects Earth as a specialist unit within the Singapore Police Force. The unit is a division of the Space Police, a force dedicated to deterring crime throughout the universe.
The Alienizers, an alien mafia, have set their sights on Earth's abundance of valuables wanted all over the galaxy. It is up to the Special Police to stop them!

Police Cantonment Complex. Meng Yeow was sitting, facing a panel of investigators from Internal Affairs. It compromised of two Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) and one Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

"Inspector Gan," the DSP spoke.

"Yes Sir," Meng Yeow replied.

"Is it true that, although you were in a position to stop the murder of Sgt Gareth Lim," the DSP asked, while reading some information from some files. "You hesitated to do so?"

Meng Yeow stopped for a while, as the events of that fateful night flashed back into his mind.

"Inspector!" Ben G's voice thundered throughout the warehouse. "You think you can save your friend?" A light shone on Gareth, who was hanging from the ceiling, unconscious with his hands tied to his back.

"Emergency, DekaMaster!" Meng Yeow transformed into DekaMaster, and drew his D-Sword Vega. Ben G threw a knife at the rope from which Gareth was hanging from. DekaMaster jumped and caught him mid-air, both of them landing in a barrage of sandbags.

"Sir!" Weijie got up and ran towards Meng Yeow, who was carrying Gareth. "How.. Who is he?" Meng Yeow was silent. He bent and put Gareth down on the floor, and stood back up.

"He's dead." Meng Yeow looked down, his eyes filled with sadness.

"Inspector Gan!" one of the ASPs said sternly, pulling him back to the present situation. "Did you or did you not?"

"Yes..." Meng Yeow said, after a moment's hesitation. "Sir."

"Are you aware, that if you are found guilty of not saving another officer's life when you possess the means to," the DSP read out from a notepad. "You can be suspended for two months, and be barred from any promotion for the next five years?"

"Yes Sir," Meng Yeow replied again.

While Meng Yeow is currently under investigation by Internal Affairs, command of S.P.D is assumed by Christina, as she is the Deputy Commanding Officer. The six of them were sitting around the octagonal shaped table.

"I hope Sir will be fine," Yi Qin said.

"I heard suspension results in a 5 years bar from promotion?" Rebecca asked.

"Definitely true," Basil replied. "It was taught in TRACOM.. If you can still remember."

"Really?" Rebecca looked confused. "I don't remember..."

"You were from one of the 1999 batches right?" Basil asked. "I remember seeing you during my POP.."
(POP = Passing Out Parade)

"I know I know!" Rebecca exclaimed. "You were supposed to be the Best Trainee right?"

"Supposed to be?" Nick asked, joining in the conversation. "As in?"

"As in not lah!" Weijie threw his right hand up at Nick. "He didn't get Best Trainee.."

"Yeah, yeah.." Basil shrugged and sank into his chair. "Tell you what we did..." he sat up straight, and leaned onto the table, cueing everyone around the table to move closer to him. "Chris.. you know anything about this?"

"Huh?" Christina was dragged into the conversation. "About what?"

"Why didn't I get Best Trainee in 1999.." Basil said.

"Haha!" Christina suddenly broke out in laughter. "Hahaha..."

"What? What?" Yi Qin asked in a very interested manner.

"Okay, you tell them.." Basil said, before breaking out into laughter himself.

"He.. and some jokers from his squad put super glue on the chair of this kuku they all disliked.." Christina laughed. The rest broke out in laughter.
("Kuku" translates directly to dickhead)

"Okay, so I was a little bit havoc six years ago..." Basil said. "But it cost me my Best Trainee award..Hahaha.." he continued. Suddenly the DekaRoom opened and Justin came running in with a parcel.

"Early Christmas present?" Weijie asked.

"This just arrived at the foyer!" Justin exclaimed, holding up the parcel. He throws the parcel onto the table, and starts unwrapping it. Nick frantically tries to stop him.

"Hold hold!" Nick shouted. "It could be a bomb!" Too late, as Justin had already unwrapped the parcel. Inside, there is a disc, and a cellphone. It did not resemble any known model on Earth, nor did it have any brand name.

"Wow!" Weijie exclaimed.

"Free handphone!" Yi Qin shouted, and made a dash for the device. She picked it up and looked at it. Basil rolled up a newspaper and smacked her in the head. "Ow!"

"Let's take a look at this.." Basil said, picking up the disc, and passing it to Justin.

"We shall await the autopsy report before making any judgement," the DSP said. "You are dismissed."

"Thank you Sirs," Meng Yeow stood up and saluted the three senior officers, then left the room. Outside, he looked at his watch, and quickly headed towards the carpark.

"Dekaranger!" a voice came from the screen. The static materialized into a germ-like alien, surrouned by a mass of electronic controls.

"Who are you?" Basil asked sternly. In the background, Nick and Justin were working furiously to ID the alien and its location.

"Have a reason to fear.. Space Police.." the alien said, then laughed like a wicked witch.

"I have set a time-bomb somewhere in the city, but there is one catch!"

"What's it?" Weijie asked.

"You must answer my riddle.. But only one of you can go!"

"Riddle?"

"If any of you attempts to help... I'll just detonate it!" the alien exclaimed. "And you can say bye bye to your dear Earth!"

"Damn it.." Nick sent a punch into the octagonal table. "This guy will get his deserts..."

"So now...?" Yi Qin asked. "I volunteer!" she shouted, jumping.

"NO!" came the reply from the rest of the room. Yi Qin grinned sheepishly, and backed down.

"Yi Qin!" Christina reprimanded her. "This is no time for fun! The Earth is at stake!"

"Ok.." Basil said. "Justin, notify all S.P.D units currently operating on Earth. Patrol, DekaRescue..Deka I don't care. Just make sure they know what we're up against and what's at stake."

"All right," Justin said, and got to work.

"Where the water brings wealth on the palm of five fingers!" came a voice from the phone in the parcel. The seven of them looked at the phone, albeit in shock.

"I think I'll go," Weijie said, grabbing the phone from the table.

"I wanted to recommend you for it," Nick said. "Since you had 6 "A" Levels."

"Don't bring that up," Weijie laughed. "It's in the past."

"I think that's a good idea," Basil said. "All right bro, we're depending on you."

"You can count on me," Weijie saluted with his two fingers and left the room.

"I've notified HQ and the other Earth units," Justin said. "HQ has sent me a data ID on this alien. Germ-seijin Baizu Goa."

"Germ?"

"Species report. Germ-seijins are very playful beings. They like to play pranks, but not to such a large-scale extent," Justin read out.

"Then this Baizu Goa must be asking for it," Nick said. "Water bringing wealth on the palm of five fingers?"

"AH!" Rebecca stood up with her right index finger pointing upwards. "I KNOW!"

"Fountain of Wealth?!" Weijie thought in his mind, while riding on the Machine Husky. "How clever, to set a bomb right in the heart of the city."

(The Fountain of Wealth is the largest fountain in the world. It is built in the middle of four office towers and one convention centre. The buildings around it represent four fingers and one thumb, and the fountain is on its palm. It is said, that walking three rounds around the fountain would bring you wealth and good fortune)

"He's not going to get his way," Weijie decided, and sped on.

Meng Yeow was having lunch with Carrie.

"How's the investigation coming along?"

"I don't know.. I hope the autopsy report comes out right.." Meng Yeow said. "Otherwise I'll be suspended for one month, and after that, I'll have no promotion for five years."

"Oh dear.." Carrie said. "When will the report be out?"

"Sometime at the end of this week I hope," Meng Yeow said, taking a sip from his cup of coffee. "I can't wait to get back to the team."

"Relax.." Carrie put her hand on his. "Let's just use this time to get closer. I know you care alot for them, but you're not working now."

"Okay," Meng Yeow said, half-heartedly agreeing with his wife.

"Did you get his location?" Nick asked Justin.

"Strangely, the signal traced back here to DekaBase," Justin said.

"What the.."

"Did he use some sort of diversion, or was he really here?" Christina asked herself.

"Keep working," Basil said. "Rebecca and I will stake out the Fountain, just in case."

"Okay," Rebecca said, taking her SP License and going off with Basil.

Weijie stopped the Machine Husky at the circular road, and ran to the railings, looking down at the Fountain on the lower floor. The public was stunned to see a police officer working alone, as officers usually work with partners. He took out his SP License and scanned the area.

"Hmm..." he looked at the screen as it gave a thermal scan of the entire Fountain of Wealth area. The scan detected an object next to the podium in the middle of the fountain. "There!" he exclaimed. He immediately made his way to the nearest staircase landing, but was blocked by a blade. "What the!?" Weijie looked up and saw an Igaroid standing next to him.

"You'll have to get past me first.." the Igaroid said in a deep voice. He then kicked Weijie in the chest, sending him flying towards the road. His mobile phone dropped on the ground, as he landed in the path of an oncoming taxi!

"EMERGENCY!" Weijie shouted. With the enhanced reflexes of the DekaSuit, he leapt out of the way, but the taxi driver was stunned and swerved in another direction. He was about to hit another car when Machine Doberman drove in and blocked his advance. The taxi smashed into the side of Machine Doberman. "Guys!" DekaBlue ran towards Basil and Rebecca, who struggled out of the car, unhurt. "How did you know?"

"Go for the bomb," Basil said. "I need my revenge on this guy."

"Right..." DekaBlue replied. "Good luck," he patted Basil, and ran for the stairs.

"Emergency," the both of them shouted, striking their right hands towards the left, with their left hands underneath. "DEKARANGER!" they shot their right hands outwards, pressing the centre button, forcing the panel to flip open, revealing their silver police badges. DekaMetal formed over the both bodies, which colourized into DekaSuits. "Face on!" they shouted. The helmets materialized over their heads.

"DekaRed!" he shouted, bending halfway downwards, facing the front with his right hand stretched out backwards.

"DekaYellow!" she posed, with her right hand pointing diagonally with two fingers outwards. DekaRed stepped forward and faced the Igaroid.

"Now, you're not going anywhere.." DekaRed wagged a finger at the Igaroid. "I'm going to uphold Shotokan-ryu karate.."

"That's your own wish.."

"Fight me like a man," DekaRed said. He took out his D-Magnums, and threw them to the ground. "Now?"

"Human stupidity has been carried on for generations.." the Igaroid said, still holding on to his Cross Saber. "Haven't you learnt that your stupid ways will not even scratch me one bit?"

"You ought to be taught a good three rules about humans," DekaRed said. The Igaroid growled, and charged at him with the Cross Saber outstretched. DekaRed executed a karate defensive motion, and blocked the saber with his left hand. "Rule number 1... Spirit and Body.." DekaRed pushed the saber away with his left hand and used his right palm to force the Igaroid away.

"Grr..." the Igaroid stood up and growled madly. He charged at DekaRed's back and raised the saber.

Weijie walked briskly through the crowd, choosing to deactivate his DekaSuit in case it caused unnecessary concern for the people on the basement levels who were unaware of the duel going on by the road. He whispered to a security guard, who then ushered all the people away from the fountain, and sealed the area up. Weijie then proceeded inside.

He went to the podium, and spotted the device which the SP License had picked up earlier. He tried to pull it away from the podium, but it was firmly stuck on.

"Damn it..."

The Igaroid, rushing towards DekaRed, raised its saber. DekaYellow tried to scream for him, but no sound came out from her mouth, as her partner appeared unaware of the oncoming strike. The Igaroid sent the saber crashing down on DekaRed's back, but he expertly raised his right hand and stopped the saber from behind.

"Rule number 2... Mind and Concentration.." DekaRed used his internal strength and threw the Igaroid over him by the tip of his saber.

"What the..." Igaroid growled. "How can he be so strong..."

"Rule number 3... Humans never give up.." he completed his sentence by picking the Igaroid up, throwing him and then finishing him off with a red energy-powered kick.

"Bas!" DekaYellow threw the D-Magnums to him.

"Thanks!" DekaRed saluted his partner.

"I didn't think robots need to be judged!" DekaYellow replied.

"You're right about that.. D-Magnum 01.. 02.. Set!" DekaRed raised both guns and combined them together. "Hybrid Magnum!" He proclaimed, pointing the barrel at Igaroid.

"D-Power, charge!" DekaRed commanded, as the energy charged in the same fashion as the Dekaranger Robo. "Strikeout!" he shouted, pulling the trigger. A fireball shot through the Igaroid's chest, destroying him in an explosion. DekaRed dismantled the Hybrid Magnum and holstered both guns. "Got you." He showed a thumbs up, then turned it down.

The device fell down from the podium just as the Igaroid was destroyed.

"What the?" Weijie picked up the device and examined it. "It does not resemble a bomb of any sort.."

"That's not the bomb! You need to solve the last riddle!" came a voice from the phone again. Basil and Rebecca ran towards Weijie.

"Last riddle?" Rebecca asked.

"Where am I?" Baizu Goa shot the question. A moment's silence overwhelmed the team of three.

"That's easy," Weijie said. Still holding the weird phone in his hand, he went over to the podium and smashed its cover, revealing Baizu Goa hiding underneath, with the same mass of controls as seen on the video screen earlier.

"No!" Baizu Goa screamed.

"Heh," Weijie smirked.

"How did you..." Rebecca pointed at the phone, shocked.

"Remember, he was surrounded by a mass of electronic controls," Weijie said. "When I was thrown off by the Igaroid, my handphone dropped out and it got smashed."

"Yeah... and?"

"Same mass of electronic controls," Weijie replied. "So I figured he must have been hiding in that stupid phone."

"Ohh!" Rebecca exclaimed.

"And one more thing," Weijie added. "How the heck did he know where the hell I was all the time?!" he exclaimed. "So I figured, he definitely was inside this phone, and he really is there!"

"Clever!" Basil laughed. Weijie took out his SP License, and shifted the switch to Judge.

"Germ-seijin Baizu Goa.. Charged with the crimes of destroying 56 planets by planting riddles, and the attempt to destroy Earth... Judgement!" he pressed the button, as the panel flipped open.

"Judgement time!" a mechanical voice from the SP License called out. The whole area turned dark, as the red 'X' and cyan 'O' flashed alternately. A clock appeared over Baizu Goa, ticking rapidly and alternating the symbols. The red 'X' glowed on the top portion of the SP License.

"Deletion approved." Weijie placed his SP License back into his holster, and took out his SP Shooter and pointed it at Baizu Goa.

"Wait wait!" Baizu Goa exclaimed. "The real bomb..Is this phone itself!"

"WHAT!?" Basil and Rebecca shouted.

"Easy." Weijie holstered his SP Shooter, and stuck the cover back onto the phone. He held it firmly in both hands, and pulled them backwards. In a flash, he threw the phone high into the sky, then quickly took out the SP Shooter and fired at the phone. With one sleek shot, Weijie destroyed the phone, together with Baizu Goa in it.

"Woah... Marksman..." Rebecca teased, as the three started walking out of the concourse area.

"It didn't come easy.." Weijie shrugged.

"I think we all did a great job today.." Basil said. "Oh yeah.. I think we should join the shooting competition.."

"So.. Staff Sergeant Chong.." Weijie teased Rebecca, who was the only Sergeant among them, but she was nominated for the next promotion ceremony.

"Not one yet!" Rebecca laughed.

"Stop teasing her or she'll complain to me during patrol," Basil joked. "You won't complain right?"

"Yeah, yeah I WILL!" Rebecca exclaimed, whacking him on the head. "Mind and concentration.. What bull.."

"I was giving you a chance there.." Basil smirked.

"What mind and concentration?" Weijie asked confused. "Anything I missed?"

"Tell you later," Basil said, as they continued walking.

A few days later, Meng Yeow was back in front of the panel, awaiting the results.

"As the autopsy states the time of death as 1945 - 2015 hours, and Insp. Gan Meng Yeow claims his time of arrival to be 2030 hours, he is therefore cleared of all charges against him, and no mark will be made on his record as a police officer." The DSP closed the case file after reading the sentence. "Congratulations Insp. Gan, you still maintain your clean record."

"Thank you Sirs!" Meng Yeow saluted his senior officers and left the room, to the seven S.P.D officers, who were eagerly awaiting the results. He appeared with a solemn face.

"Huh?" Yi Qin scratched her head.

"I'm cleared of all the charges!" Meng Yeow exclaimed.

"Woohoo!"

"Let's go for a drink after work to celebrate!" Basil suggested.

"Yeah!" the rest of the team agreed. They walked down the corridor, cheering their Commanding Officer's clearance from the charges.
