But I do have a question: Anyone know how I can put myself out there to be discovered? I am a martial artist trying to get discovered to become an actor. However, YouTube apparently isn't enough… just a question really. Please help if at all possible. Thanks guys. Again, sorry if it seemed the wrong place to post this thread. I was under the impression that, that is what an agent is for. To get your name out there and help find you work.

My advice...get an agent if you want to be an actor.
Also Acting skills should come first and martial art skills should come second if you want to get acting gigs.

If you want to be an actor, do the acting. If you want to be a martial artist, become a martial artist. You can't really use martial arts to become an actor. Martial artists aren't as famous and they get paid less, but if you are know for it, you will get jobs as a martial artist. If you want both, you have to be quite lucky and find yourself something like Dragon Knight. If that's the case, contact the Wangs and keep in touch until another Rider adaptation comes along. Then go and do your stuff.

My advice to you, and the method that seems to have worked for a lot of popular stunt actors on the rise (like Lateef Crowder, Sam Looc, Larry Leong, Ilram Choi, Sam Hargrave, etc.) is to form your own stunt team and start producing independent films to gain exposure on the internet and in your own community. If you pull it off well enough you can even make some money from it, and that kind of DIY initiative is what a lot of folks in charge of hiring for smaller productions are looking for these days. The age of agents and auditions is over. Do your thing and get it out there.
