Sony's racially charged PSP ad

Supported? Most of them movies that came out on UMD are Sony-owned movies and now there are no new titles at all coming out anymore. The UMD-format never gained any big support.
Here, GeoGeo, one of Japan's leading DVD shops for rentals and sale DVD's doesn't even list UMD on their site:

I was looking at it from an anime fan's point of view, but yeah I guess so.

CNN/MTV missed out on this? The hell must've frozed up. KRZ, be quiet.

The imagery evokes some pretty offensive feelings in me naturally. I mean, I'm not easily offended, nor do I knee jerk to look for racism, but ****... I don't necessarily get a good feeling from this ad. In fact... the opposite.

See, they're using race instead of color. If they'd simply used someone dressed in white grabbing someone in black clothing it'd be cool. But the use race instead to represent color which makes it a tad bit more culturally personal, thus... offensive.

Now, I'm a man of sound mind. I'm not going to flip out about it, but just see it as yet another reason not to like Sony.

But the regular public.... the general public? They have no sense and they will flip out and take the ad as personally as possible. This was really just moronically irresponsible of Sony.

We know that it isn't a racist message. What it is is race centric when it just doesn't need to be. So instead you have a negative race image put up as advertisement instead of focusing on color contrast.

Eh..... whatever.

Oh yes, because MTV is such a respected news source :rolleyes2:

And once you have a way to make me, then I'll be quiet. But for now I have to agree with my good friend MJRM.

And I'm not sure how much this will change peoples arguments, but there's three ads total

Just because I feel like throwing some more wood on the fire, what if it had been a white person wearing the black-coloured outfit and a black person wearing the white-coloured outfit?

All of Mariah Carey's peeps wpuld've shown up...
