Sony's racially charged PSP ad

Thanks, but no thanks... no race! Just contrast of colors. I mean, they could've used ninjas for Cybertron's sake. :P

Are you saying Michael Jackson is a racist? My comment was not about race at all it was a snappy idea of how to promote the choices between a black and white PSP. RACIST!

I think a Pink "Hello Kitty" themed PSP with lots of flowers and sunshine, would PWN both Black and White PSP!! And it would have an ad with Hello Kitty shooting both, a black woman and a white woman to death!!

I don't find it racist at all.
I see it as excellent use of color and style.
But that's just me... I don't care and don't even think about race issues or the color of people's skins.

I kind of agree. I can easily see how people will get offended by the picture but at the same time you're supposed to be smart enough to figure out that White represents the white PSP and black represents the Black PSP. And we all know chick fights are popular.

I just think it's the style and tone of the picture that leans it more towards a racism focus. If it was a booty shakin, ho-mama african lady with wild hair versus the punk white girl I dont think it would have been that much of a problem with anyone. But because it looks to be an oldie styled african american woman at the mercy of a tall vicious white girl, it tends to slant a little more to the "danger zone".

But honestly, this is exactly how Sony wanted everyone to react. This publicity stunt has captured everyone's attention. Exactly what Sony wanted.

Yeah almost makes you feel like a white supremist just for daring to get a white psp.

The song is about equality, it is not racist. I think it fits perfectly with the available versions of PSP. Plus it's not as annoying as that original PSP song.

Michael Jackson is only racist in the fact that he can't tell which race he is when he looks in the mirror anymore.
