**** popular opinion. People in this fandom just LOVE to bitch and complain about everything. Probally more than in any other fandom I'm in.
Obviously you're not in the Transformers fandom. They make this fandom look tame.
Exactly, that has yet to be told. PLUS, we don't even get to know if Natsumikan gets to return to her home world.........or if she's really from "Decade/DaiShocker no Sekai."
Decade = NO STORY
A few plotholes, and a few unexplained things doesn't mean it has no story. It just means the story isn't perfectly told. It still has a story...it's just not as technically perfect as a story that does explain everything that it needs to explain.
You want an example of an IMPORTANT PLOTPOINT that's not explained, yet the story is still considered great? Look at the original 3 Star Wars films from the 70s and 80s. They never explained, until the new trilogy, important facts such as what the Clone Wars were, how the Empire came into power, or how the Jedi fell. And even WITH the new trilogy, it's never explained at all why the Empire falls just because the Emperor dies and a single battle station goes boom.
So, yeah, little things like explaining what world a support character is from doesn't make the story invalid. It just means it has more story that it CAN tell.
I think there's a trope for this (Instant Expert). The nice part is that V3 (whom I'm getting ads for) averts it, nicely.
Tsukasa would only be an 'instant expert' if he never ever done anything before related to being a Rider. The truth is the opposite: He was ALREADY a Rider, already had all the skills and training, and already had the experience. He was then, somehow, tosed into another world not his own and suffered from amnesia (obviously, said amnesia was amnesia about his personal and abstract self: his name, age, etc, and not the amnesia that hits his skills).
So, no, amnesia victim, not instant expert.
