Social Networking Sites, Unnecessary?

All I have is a MySpace page. I honestly don't think I could be bothered with trying to keep two of those things up to date.

That and the fact that I don't really have any friends on it beside people I know in real life, so I don't really see the point.

I have a myspace page that gets updated about once a year. I also have a facebook page that I've logged into maybe twice. I don't care much for them.

I got a MySpace after all my friends complained that they couldn't get a hold of me or whatever (I never answer my phone), but I think it's pretty stupid that people get snobby about them. I've actually heard somebody at my university say "I don't have a MySpace anymore, they're for highschoolers." They're all pretty ghey really. The thing about social networking sites is that people start relying on them to feel accepted and then they lose touch with how to talk to/hit on people face to face, which is a much more valuable skill.
