So...I'm starting Agito and Ryuki

Don't watch both shows together, do one at a time I hope.

Go with Ryuki first. It's incredible.

Make a thread a keep us updated on ur viewing.

Ryuki was my first Toku ever (not coutnign Power Rangers or Godzilla) So it was great for me. But, it does get really plain after awhile, and really boring. The ending I liked though.

Agito was great. Very well written, but I agree with Ryotarou, definetly overhyped. It was great, but not Legendary like others say. But the story is very nice, and you don't get bored with it, well I did towards the end.

NOW if you want a boring Series, there is Kuuga. I hated that series, and will probably not finish it.

kuuga? really? wow, you are the first person i know that said they din't like kuuga

Unlike a lot of other shows, Agito actually deserves all the hyping it gets. It's one of the few shows that achieved near perfection in its action, plot, characterizations and symbolism. So I say keep on hyping Agito and Rider Kick stuff like Decade, Den-O and even Hibiki (which has gotten to be a bit overrated in recent years.) off the mountainside.

Thanks largely to the last 10 episodes, Ryuki doesn't achieve the same level of greatness as Agito, but it's still one of the best tokus of all time. Of all the Heisei Riders, it (and Kuuga as well) had the best spin on the age-old theme that defines KR. So in conclusion, both shows are must-sees.

Agito is incredible, my favourite of the heisei era. I think theres nothing special about the riders, i feel the other series had better riders, but the story is the best. Also dont forget to check out the movie, G4 kicks ass. Theres really nothing i can say that i didnt like about this series, so... highly recommended!

I never felt Ryuki to be slow or boring, its a great series and i find the main character Shinji pretty likeable. I enjoyed almost every second of it except for one thing: TIME VENT, but wait until you watch it yourself. If you like rider on rider action, youre gonna love it.

Another series that i allways recommend is Blade, if you havnt seen it, go check it out!

...Hibiki (which has gotten to be a bit overrated in recent years.)

I loved Hibiki when i started to watch it. I loved the powers of the riders, the whole music thing and asumu. but allways hated the makamou, i havent seen worst looking kaijin/kaiju in a series, they are ugly as hell. Also, the second half of the series lost all the style that that i liked at the beginning. Its a good series but it could have been better.

so Black Fang, where do you put Den-O and Kiva on your list?

Well first let's define the list.

At the top: Kuuga, Agito and Ryuki.

Below them: Faiz, Blade and Kiva.

At the very bottom: Decade.

That brings us to Hibiki, Kabuto and Den-O, which I would consider the low point of the Heisei shows. Of these three, Hibiki is certainly the best for its quality characterizations and setting. (Unfortunately it lacked in plot and villains that really warranted concern.) I don't like the overhype Den-O has gotten, but it wasn't really a terrible show. I'm not one of the haters. It had good intentions, but did a poor job executing things. Kabuto was just terrible.

So in order from best to worst: Hibiki, Den-O and Kabuto.

I think a lot of the Hibiki hype in recent years is more a reaction to the bashing it got (undeservingly so) when it was airing and the year after than anything else.

that's sad to hear, I loved Den-O and Kiva, i respect your opinion

i don't know why people hype it. but I loved the show just the way it was, Kiva was great too. both had great plot and monsters

I started Faiz, and I love it till now. there is nothing wrong with it

same goes for Decade

I will get back at you after I'm done with Kuuga and Agito witch I will start after Faiz or Ryuuki

I found that a lot of people were interested in Hibiki because the Hibiki world in Decade was great. I liked that couple of episodes myself, but Hibiki is still at the buttom of my list.

So, how come you ranked Kabuto as the worst? what you didnt like about it?
