So I'm seeing Beowulf tonight

Well yesterday was the first pre-screening at the brand new movie theater in town, Townsquare 18, my friend won free tickets for yesterday and boy did he say it was awesome, free food, free drinks, awesome CLEAN Theater. And today my other friend won 12 Free tickets to tonights pre-screening, and I am expecting free sweet tarts, Dr. Pepper, and Bon Bons :thumbs:. So far theres about....I'd say 3 or 4 girls going with us, my girlfriend isn't one of them :shakefist.

Anyway the show starts in 3 hours so I'll give you guys a quick rundown of the movie when I get back. :thumbs:

gayest **** happened, apparently the theater is built really nice, the whole district its in is brand new so traffic was a bitch, but they have only 3 Theater rooms, only one of which is playing Beowulf. They are that poor that they can only afford 3 theater rooms for such a big building (its a new company anyway), so they gave out more free tickets then they could afford and where "Sold Out". To make up for it they just hooked up a DVD player to one of the projectors and played Transformers and Hot Rod. I was like **** that and me and my friends messed around at the apple shop (yes they had an apple shop).

Honestly why give out free tickets if you're poor?

I just saw this a while ago. Visually, it's an amazing film to look at. Plotwise...not quite so much.

I heard that if you've read the poem then you'll hate the movie, but if you haven't read it, you may like the movie. Either way... I don't plan on watching it.

I didn't read anything about or related to this movie & still thought it sucked. :laugh:
