So...how 'bout that health care?

Yeah, you pay a monthly bill for it like rent or utilities. And it's extremely complicated beyond that, with deductibles and copays and network plans and whatnot...

Whaaaaaat tf? It's so complicated for no reason.

It sounds like buying a carton of milk that will expire the next day. If you don't drink it, it'll be wasted.

Man, I can't tell if Obama is taking the right steps or not.

He seems to want to take the right steps but he's forced to take really really tiny steps which result in watered down naggerbills like this.

You seem to miss the point of insurance. You pay so that if something goes wrong, you don't have to pay a higher amount at that time. You pay car insurance every month so that if you get into an accident, they pay the $3,000 worth of damages, not you. If you never ever get into an accident, then yes, it's wasted money.

That has nothing to do with the bill, that's just insurance period.

Quoted for profound truth. I really wish we could've gotten a single-payer system through instead.

Ooh, right. Ok, but basically even if these things are in our favor. It's still a sturggle and a hassle to keep paying for these things every month.

And there is also the possibility of these prices rising, correct?

Yep. Always. Inflation. The question is how much?

If the bill hadn't been passed, health care prices definitely would've risen.

The current bill does a few different things to try and freeze cost inflation in health care. They're all kind of complicated and accountant-y, but they're there.

Damn, I see. The day prices can stay consistently low, for like healthcare, gas, and whatnot; that is when I'll be truly happy.

More like end of America. I remembered somewhere last year, this Russian professor predicted that we're towards end of America in the second half of 2010 and that is, President Obama would declare martial law here. Let me go and find the exact map of what this would be looking like, this is what he's predicting, bigdog.

Sweet jumping Jesus... please tell me you're not serious. :redface2:

Please... even if you have to lie to me.
