Sin City - Talkback

Ignore him, man. He's probably not even old enough to see Sin City, so he's just blowing smoke to cover it up.

Freedom Black, I happen to be 20 as of Feb 27th.

Okay that wasn't nice. I mean no I didnt like Sin City but I don't have to be ignorant. I could make jokes off of that remark but I refrain from that for the sake of the board.

I agree with Dragonfighter a bit. Its just bad to come in and say "it sucked. only geeks like it". Well, what didnt you like about it? Try talking to us instead of coming in, laying out a harsh opinion and leaving. That doesnt make anyone take you seriously.

Im not saying you have to explain yourself, Im just saying. It would be nice to know for discussion purposes. Im not a comic book person at all and I loved the movie.

No disrespect to Frank Miller, but Robert Rodriguez is ten times more of a god and this proves it.

God is too small of a word. :) Man is definitely my favorite director as a person. I didn't particularly enjoy Once Upon a Time in Mexico (Don't really know why, it just didn't grab me.) but the extras on that DVD are fucking amazing. He's the man.

Not to mention, he lives the life I want to have. He wakes up in the morning, walks to his garage and edits his movies.

the whole stylized black and white thing. Plus Jessica alba was thrown in for for sex appeal. I didnt like Bruce's character one bit. He was better in DH and Hostage. Bittany Murphy was good as well. Another thing IMO, that could've made this movie worth the 10.50 would've been to thrown a cameo of Robert Rodriguez in there somehow. And I thought that was him in one of the stories. But then I realized I was imagining.

While some of the personal insults in this thread make me clench my fist a little, I can see where everyone is coming from, MK.

Your opinions have some pretty severe flags that indicate you haven't seen the movie at all.

Especially, "Plus Jessica alba was thrown in for for sex appeal." If you'd seen the film and all the massive amount of sexual material that was gloriously displayed, Jessica Alba was one of the much lesser components that comprised the smorgus board of sex appeal this movie packed.

An army of hookers, classy tragic dames, and a blonde godess.... yet Jessica Alba who played the role of a grown up version of a little girl was the thing just thrown in as sex appeal?

Everything you mentioned could've been picked up from the trailer, so you can see why people find you opinion questionable. Dig?
