General Discussion Shopping online anyone?

You're lucky to live in such a Caribbean paradise and you're moving to Holland... Convince your man to move to southern Europe, you'd be better off!

Belize must be a really small country no? Like Portugal right? At least we have Cristiano Ronaldo... :D

I think Belize is way smaller than Portugal, very few things are known about this country, lol, seriously. Sometimes I wonder if the media is actually ignoring that tiny country on purpose!

As for moving... I'd love to be able to move to Spain one day, maybe move back to Mexico once we retire :P I don't feel pretty safe living in a country that happens to be a giant swamp!!! The Netherlands is basically a huge swamp... very prone to flooding. The dutch ''claimed'' a lot ''land'', but is a constant struggle!

There are huge countries that we never hear about, look at Canada or Mexico for example. :)

Spain should be OK if you come to the south, to the Mediterranean area. You're already thinking about retirement? :D What are you going to do there?

I don't predominantly shop on the internet. I am someone that likes to ponder anything before I buy it, and that pondering involves actually seeing the product in the flesh. I have very rarely ever bought anything off of the internet, and also because paying for the postage and packaging is usually a rip off.

Yeah, the shipping fee really turns me off, plus you have to wait really long sometimes to finally get what you ordered. Sometimes you might not get what you ordered, sometimes you might get it... but it might get to you broken already or maybe they sent the wrong color. I also dislike shopping online, but sometimes buying online is the only way to find certain things... like for example the natural supplements I'm taking nowadays.

I really hate the wait tho. I ordered something 35 days ago from China, I haven't recieved my package yet, I'm sure it got lost in the way. I'll have no choice but asking them for a refund! I hope they do it willingly! If not... off to open a case! How tedious it is when things go wrong when you shop for something online!

Well, Mexico has been all over the new even in the Netherlands... but for the wrong reasons! Very very wrong reasons, I must add :(

Yeah, I always think ahead. I might not get to see that day, lol, but I like to be ready just in case I manage to reach that age and finally retire. I'd personally like to go back to my physical job, have a normal life... but that will have to wait for now. After that I can think about my retirement ;)

We shop online all the time because of the ease. The only sites I use to shop is either eBay or Amazon. They are the most reliable to trust with your money.

Rule of thumb, don't ever order anything from China - especially through sites like Alibaba. The stuff, if it even arrives, is almost always counterfeit. In many cases, they won't even send the full order then give you the runaround on getting a refund until you give up. Not to mention, it can take several *months* in some cases for your package to arrive for a variety of reasons.

I'm surprised that Amazon won't ship to Mexico often enough for you. They have a pretty elaborate infrastructure here in the US for getting orders to you as quickly as possible. In some cases, the vendor actually has their products stored and shipped from Amazon's warehouses, which guarantees their deliveries.

Ah ah, good rule, don't buy from China, I suppose that must be applied to stuff I buy offline as well, but I do buy some Chinese stuff, they are pretty safe considering it's not technology. ;)

Have yo ever had issues while buying on Ebay? I'm still waiting for 3 packeges, but I'm only worried about 2 of those packages... from two different chinese sellers and haven't arrived :O I'll wait this whole week to be fair since they have been kind enough to reply me :) If they refund me I'll give them a positive feedback. I'm sure my parecels got lost...

Sorry I didn't get back to you. *touch wood* all orders have been fine and arrived quicker/better than expected. Sorry to hear about your bad experience though!
