Shitty Gawker Website Redesign is Shitty... Kotaku and io9 Now Suck.

[Tom Constantine]

The articles on it recently have been awful. They had one about Power Rangers and how the black ranger isn't black 'this time'.

Plus they are rocking the 'Smallville and Supernatural are amazing' far too.

[Keith Justice]

Wait... where? I got to see this. There was actually an article on a blog about how the black ranger wasn't black??

Wow.. welcome to 18 year ago.

[Sentinel King]

Keith Justice, it's all old news. :redface2:

It's 2011 now.

[Tom Constantine]

There was an article about Pokemon seizure episode a couple of days ago too. Nothing new, just talking about it. And that was, 10 years ago?

[Algo Fonix]

It's harder to read discussions now, too. It seems all comments are separated the same even if they're not in the same thread... which makes it confusing as hell.

I'm using a script that re-directs all articles to the old layout on ca.kotaku.com:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/96632

Sadly it's somewhat buggy... but it's still pretty nice.

[Lynxara]

The new layout is clearly meant to optimize for a) more ads and b) mobile/table devices. Gawker sites look better than ever on my iPad, but are totally unreadable on my desktop in the office.

All sister sites are affected by this... I've always like lifehacker... now it's too hard to read stuff.... :disappoin

[KingRanger]

Kotaku wasn't much of a video game "news" site before this change. I am going to stick with gamasutra, joystiq, and silconera from now on.
