My PS3 plays PS2 games just fine, sure the quality dropped by an insignificant rate but so what. Aaand if I wanted to play my PS2 games, I'd play my PS2. Not that hard turning on a separate system . Well what the 360 did was partially intentional by having only a select few Xbox games that would work and release the rest on the XBLM. Its a snakey way to make you pump out more money if you want to play your old Xbox games.

:redface2: You know exactly what I mean about the PS3 and the PS2. Giving you the benefit if the doubt that you don't, they removed PS2 playback with the discontinuation of the PS3 60gig model. A select few? Do you really want me to paste the entire list of xbox games that work on the 360? I mean if you can't be bothered to do a goggle search yourself I would be more than happy to paste the list. The XB Originals was a nice service. It gave people a chance to get games they might not have picked up originally.

I do like the Backwards capat with the GC. I still play some of my GC games like MEtroid Prime. (soon I can enjoy Prime on the Wii when the new trilogy comes out.)

Check out the prices for the Componant video cables for the Gamecube, and then check the price for the Wii cables. That's another reason the wii is nice to have for GC playback.

Again, chill out, watch the blood pressure lad. No I don't know exactly what you're talking about, I'm not as "into" video game hardware as some other PS3 owners are. See I just bought a PS3 pack with Uncharted and it played my PS2 games just fine. Sure it didn't have the memory stick port, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Thats me, I buy it, I rent it, I play it, I enjoy it or don't enjoy it, I'm done with it. I don't give a rats ass if which console can turn into a portable massage player or if theres an update that lets me play every single 24bit game known to man.

Why should I look it up? Its a simple response or do I need to be specific for you? Nah I kid I know thats just your PMS talking. But no really Mr. Video game guru tell me how many if it isn't a select few? 200ish? All I know it s that all of my Xbox games except Halo didn't work, and I couldn't care less except maybe for Shenmue II.
