Shadow Hearts

Ebay auction is almost done and I'll be more than fine waiting as I'm blazing mad trails in Wild ARMS 3 right now.

Which ending does the second game follow? And how hard is it to get to the "proper" ending?

About Halfway thru the game, you have to decide whether to save Alice's [That's the blonde haired girl who appears on the front of the packaging in Yuri's arms] soul or not...

If you decide to save her, you unlock the good ending and if you don't save her soul, you get the bad ending and regardless of which ending you get in the original, the second game is still based on the bad ending...

Alright, I'm to the point, in Wild ARMs 3, that it's near impossible to do without a walkthrough. And because my computer's updstairs, the walkthrough's too long to printout, and my system is down stairs, I've had to run up and down the stairs to play the game.

Recently, my roommie's let me use his laptop, which helps out a lot. Anyway, he's out of town and I wanted to game, so I busted out Shadow Hearts and MY GOD IS THIS GAME AWESOME!!!

I'm so used to the cartoon/anime style quirky-funniness of Wild ARMs, you can imagine my surprise that the first villiage I and my characters come to ends up covered in gore and splattered human bodies that go "squish, squish, squish..." as I walk over them. A villiage of demon cannibals!!!

This world is amazing and exactally one of the gaming experiences I've been looking for that wasn't a gorram high fantasy RPG.

The feel I get off this game is like... Resident Evil, mixed with Metal Gear Solid, with a anime/horror Sherlock Holmes world backdrop. Freakin' fantastic! I'll be pouring more time into this game today, but promise to get back to Wild ARMs once I get use of the laptop.

If you like RPG's and horror, I highly recommend this game.

Buy them! The first game is addictive as hell while I'm waiting to get my PS2 modded so I can play my pirate PAL copy of the second game and there's a 3rd game in the series set in 1920's Chicago that's coming out next month in Japan!

I didn't notice this before.... why're you imporing a copy of the second game?

I got my PS2 chipped mainly to play imports like the US version of Xenosaga as the bastards at SCEE are only releasing the second part plus play my copied games that I downloaded from various sites like Kamen Rider games including Ryuki, Faiz and Blade and other games from Japan/US including various BeMani games, anime games like DearS, Godannar, Initial D, Ai Yori Aoshi and Chobits and Genji which is supposed to be a pretty good game...

As for the second SH game, I downloaded it as it was supposed to be out last year in the UK but it kept getting delayed release-wise; same with Ys:Ark of Napishtim which is another great game so I downloaded them both along with the Japanese PS2 remakes of Phantasy Star 1 and 2... [wishes someone would release translated versions of the last 2 ASAP in one package and release the remake of Phantasy Star IV as a seperate reasonably priced game at $9.99...]

You're right.... Malkovich is t3h hot! :bueno_bub

I can see her panties when she does the backflip on her third attack too.... there definately needs to be more web art of these characters.

Hey... this "Malice" thing.... how often do I have to hit up the Graveyard to deal with it?

And how do I get back SP and MP points without using items?

And when Yuri drops his demon form I say, "POWER DOWN!!!" :D

Anyway, played the living **** outta this game today. I think I hit up a 5 hour marathon after I did a marathon of Hurricanger.

Been a lazy as hell day... lazy as hell...

I'm at the showdown with Roger Bacon and I have to say: GOD! Do you mean there's MORE after this?

I thought I was at the end, but it looks like I got a long way to go before I earn the good ending.

Do I really need the Demon Spirit of Amon? Do I need Yuri's Ultimate Form? Should I try and get Keith's best sword?

What's worth it and what's not, cuz I'm near ready to move on to another game now.

Maybe go back and finishout Wild ARMs 3.
