With an eye on the centennial treasure "PAKO", the evil ninja clan, YOUMA ICHIZOKU, begins plotting to rob it for its own gain.

Yamaji Tetsuzan, the head of the Yamaji ninja family and guardian of the treasure for generations, entrusts the sacred duty to his adopted son, YAMAJI TOUHA.

Using the identity of JIRAIYA, Touha battles Youma Ichizoku and in the process, engages in an epic battle with ninjas from all over the world.​

So what is the basic story for Jiraiya? Why are all these Ninjas at war with eachother?. Are there any big story arcs/multi-parters in the show?.

Episode 1 - What was that green orb that Jiraya's father had?.
-What was the Ninja Scroll saying about Ninjas and Shinobi's protecting Earth?.
-Why Ninjas attacking the Family at their dojo?.

The fight scene in those yellow carts was awesome. The guy was walking all over the ropes!.

-Why are those Ninjas after that green orb?.
-So his Father created the Jiraiya suit?.

During the fight scenes as Jiraiya you can see the actors eyes in the mask but in the Toku Brasil Forum Banner his eyes are blue. Did I miss something? lol

I'm at episode 7 now and I officially love this fucking series.

Here are some interesting tidbits I found out about the series aswell:
-The ninjutsu used in this series was as accurate as possible, as real ninja descendants were used as consultants on the program, and Hatsumi Yoshiaki, who played patriarch Yamaji Tetsuzan on the show, descended from an actual ninja family and was famous for training numerous actors who performed in samurai, ninja, and other jidaigeki movies. This added a sense of realism into the show, as the program was supervised and approved by actual ninjas.

-Sentai Alumni: Tiger Ranger (Zyuranger), Blue Mask (Maskman), Haruta Janichi (Goggle V's Black, Dynaman's Black, Juspion's Madgallant, and Soga Machiko are all in the series.

I know Bolt likes all that Ninja stuff so I say you MUST get this series. Nevermind Hurricanger and Kakuranger. If you need a Tokusatsu and a Ninja fix all in 1.... Jiraiya is the way to go.

The DVD Quality is FUCKING amazing aswell. I'd rate it about 9/10 just like the Spielban and Juspion DVD's I have.

The OP theme is probally one of the most dramatic op themes in Metal Heroes history.

I think Change Griffen's in one, too, but I didn't see that episode. And the dude who played the "Alex Murphy" of Jiban.

If you need a Tokusatsu and a Ninja fix all in 1.... Jiraiya is the way to go.

Some people are put off by the sometimes sappiness of the family aspect. :shrug: I'm missing a portion of episodes, but I like what I've seen, although it does drag in some spots. It gets pretty nutty in the second half, supposedly after the producers felt it needed to be "more metal hero like."
