Oh man it is. This caught me totally off guard too. I was originally going to watch Blue Swat first, but the dudes over at Toku Brasil recommended I hit up Jiraiya first and I figured those crazy Brazilian fuckers could answer my questions quickly and that is what they are doing. It's awesome, I now understand why there is a legion of Jiraiya fans.

Not really a translation, more like a connotation. You see, the same name or sound can be written with different characters and sometimes Japanese choose a specific character to confer an idea or connotation onto that name ... so perhaps it's better to think of them as connotation rather than word-for-word translations.

Anyway, Jiraiya is written in katakana in the title but I've also seen it written as
Jiraiya 磁雷矢 (magnetism - thunder - arrow)
Tokagu Ryuuseinin 戸隠流忍 : I think Tokagu is just a name, the rest means meteor and nin from ninja. Just the name conferred to the ninja clan basically

Kinin Reiha 貴忍 麗破 : The first kanji is often used in meanings that have to do with 'you' or 'precious', so 'precious ninja' would be the connotation. Reiha is made from kanji meaning 'beautiful' and 'break, tear'

Yarinin Toppa I don't remember how it was written.

Anyway, you shouldn't read into it too much ... basically they just choose some kanji to write a certain name to give it that connotation, a bit like they used Tendou (heaven + way/road) in Kamen Rider Kabuto, as a name.
