SCEA boards suck ass!

I can see why SCEA and SCEE are doing **** with the PSP and PS3 if they won't even let you have decent threads and have to do asskissing which I would never do in a million years!

Basically, I started a thread earlier today on the SCEA PS3 forums about how both SCEE/SCEA could improve things with the PSP and I found out later on that it had been deleted.

I started another thread and received a PM from a Mod stating that because I mentioned custom firmware and Nintendo in my thread, it got deleted!

To me, that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard yet in a forum...

So my rant got deleted just because I mentioned custom firmware in it as well as Nintendo...

[And yes, I did read their stupid Terms and Conditions]

I find the irony delicious that the PSP is doing obscenely well in Japan and yet the PSP is doing badly elsewhere because their respective divisions aren't willing to listen to their customers...

If the PSP/PS3 flops then it won't be SCEJ to blame but SCEE and SCEA and frankly, I have no sympathy for the fucktards who run both companies!:shakefist

While the nintendo comment may not have been worth anything, I'm not at all surprised that mentioning ILLEGAL MODIFICATIONS to a company's system, on that companies official board, would get deleted. Whether you use it for the darker purposes or not, it's still illegal to put cfw on your psp. To mention that on their official site is basically promoting it. Don't get me wrong, I love my cfw and use it all the time on breaks at work to play some old school roms, but I'm not going to go tell sony that they should make it the standard, because people ARE going to go back to abusing it like they did when they had version 1.5 firmware. It would be like going to Microsoft back in the old days and telling them how they could improve their original XBOX systems by making them work more like EvoX.

And to be completely fair.. psps (and handhelds in general) naturally do better in Japan as they have a lot more public transportation users. Several of my friends have over a 90 minute train ride into work every day. What do they do on that? Usually they busy getting their monster hunter on.

I didn't mention in my thread that they should make it standard, I just mentioned that the only reason why the PSP is even selling as well as it is in the West is because of Custom Firmware whereas in Japan, a lot of PSP users probably don't give a **** about it!

It's obvious that Sony is going to lose the console war in the West due to their complacency and arrogance! If they do decide to pull out for the next round, I won't be sorry to see them go after what they did to Sega and Lik-Sang and also for the way that SCEE won't allow the likes of Play-Asia to sell PSP games and accessories to Europeans and yet they have no problems with PS2/PS3 games!

I was merely using it as an example, now saying that you specifically said that. The point remains that you did mention CFW though, and I can understand their reasons behind deleting such a post.

I can see where you're coming from, but it's still silly that you can't even mention custom firmware on their forums as a example of why they're doing **** outside Japan.

I don't know what the hell has gone wrong at SCEA since PS3 came out. I worked with them during a Rogue Galaxy project and they were really quite decent, accommodating with but clear standards of quality they were pursuing.

After that, I don't know if people quit or got fired or what, but suddenly they were absolutely lousy to try and work with-- promises broken, bad communication, total disregard for quality. I personally believe this sort of lousiness is helping crash the PS3 in the US.

Yeah, I don't know. This is not the Sony of the ps2 years. Everyone recognizes that they're completely different than they were back then, but nobody can really figure out why they lost their groove.

They saw how successful the PS2 turned out, I mean there still cranking out games for it, while other companies moved on to their current gen system.

So maybe there just trying too hard to top that, while also appealing to a different demograph?

I was a diehard sony fan with the PS1 and PS2. I wanted the Ps3 to be every bit as good... It's not. There are very few games on it that I want to play. It costs way more than it should. The bluray means nothing to me. I play my PS2, hell I play my SNES more than the PS3.
