OK, new info on the exclusive SAW V clip that was shown at SDCC. SPOILERS !!! From Dread Central:

There's a man chained to a table, he is completely immobilized. Above him hovers a pendulum, and by his hands rest vices. A TV flickers to life, and we see the familiar face of Billy, Jigsaw's puppet.

Jigsaw, explaining through Billy as usual, informs the prisoner that he is there because the game master believes he did not get a sufficient sentence for the crimes he had committed with his bare hands.

Life or death is up to the prey. He can stick his hands in the vices, where they will be mangled, unable to aid him in committing violence against another innocent person, or he can be sliced in two by the awaiting pendulum.

The gamer chooses crushed hands, and indeed Jigsaw's trap does mash his grabbers and the machine stops swinging the blade of death. But ... something has gone wrong. The machine belts back into life and the scene cuts to black.

I am going to see Saw V. I have loved all the Saw movies so far. As far as the remake of Friday the 13th... No way. Every horror movie from the 70's and 80's that gets remade sucks. They are also making Jason the killer from the start. To completly change the entire story that way is not surprising, but it is also very disappointing.

Seriously. Pamela Voorhees is one of the most important aspects to Jason's origin. I have no doubt they're going to turn it into a canned, "MTV style" shakey-camera fest to appeal to squealing teens. :170:

I couldn't stand that Halloween remake. They turned Michel meyers from an unstoppable killing machine with no remorse or soul... Into this damn wimp that you are made to feel sorry for.
