Well, aboot 7 days ago the back of my neck began to itch. Soon, it started swelling too. Not all of you know this, but I live with my folks in order to help take care of my mom, who is disabled. Well, she has been fighting a leg wound for months, going in to have it checked, changing a dressing on it twice a day. She even just got back from a physical rehab center last month. Well, they took a culture of her wound at about the same time that my neck started getting infected, but we had to wait for Monday for the results.
Saturday, after stubbornly holding off on medical care, I went to urgent care and they gave me some meds. No big deal. Come to find out yesterday that mom has MRSA, and the hospital said I should go back and tell my doctor that. SO, last night i found out that because its most likely MRSA, and because its right next to my spinal column, I need to have it drained.
Which happened this afternoon. It was aboot the size of half a grapefruit, and having it drained was the most pain I have ever been in in my life. The doc gave me anesthetic and not even 10 seconds later began cutting. So fair warning, if I come on here and dont make sense...wait, i never make too much sense. If you notice my posts are bizarre beyond their normal levels of weirdness, don't worry...its a combination of pain/painkillers. That is all. Please pray to whatever God/deity/Flying Spaghetti Monster/Cthulhu that He/She/It heals me.
Also, I will accept booby pics from the female HJU members as moral support in my struggle against this horrible disease.
