Good choice for a director for this movie. Still waiting for Spider-man 4 and 5. I think I was the only one who auctually enjoyed Spider-man 3!

Actually Sony wants Raimi to keep the films shot back to back to keep the budget down while Raimi would just like time to focus on the 4th film. So its a classic Studio vs Director argument.
