Sailor Moon

Im only joking. lol. Im a huge supporter of the dubs but I also love the Japanese/subs. I love Sailor Moon in all forms.. in fact. I just had a REALLY fucking weird Sailor Moon dream last night. o_o;;;

Bought a little Sailor Moon model figurine at the last anime con, too. It's of the Live Action sailor moon. I couldnt believe they had any of those. Pretty sweet.

I haven't been a fan of the dub since I saw SM in Japanese, although I did like the DiC VAs, particularly Terri Hawkes and Stephanie Morganstern. Shame they didn't have the opportunity to do the original content instead of the watered down American version.

*dries off from the bubble shower* god dammit.

Sure, we lost some content in translation. But I love the English VA cast so much and they brought a new life to the characters. Serena really feels different from Usagi and I like that. There are just some things that I think english did better. (Like the songs My Only Love and Carry On! Cmon! How epic was that battle against Queen Beryle with Carry On! EPIC!) We can love BOTH dammit! We can love BOTH!

Excuse me, I hear a thunderstorm brewing. Jupiter and Water dont mix. *hides*

I can't help it. The Cloverway dub further soured SM for me, too. The only thing they did right was include the original music. I don't even want to think about what would've happened to Sailor Stars, although I would dearly love an official DVD release.

I'm rewatching Sailor Moon R subbed, and looking back on it, the DIC dub was awesome.

The voice acting was pretty top notch, I loved the soundtrack (loved "Rainy Day Man"), and they knew how to convey the show's epic moments. The only reason that people "hate" the dub is because it didn't show blood or any fanservice.

Luna's voice actress owns you.
