@VerusMaya: I dunno. Like, when I'm really stressed out and busy, I've found that being in a relationship helped a lot, even if it was just a short little high school relationship. But I understand that you won't have time to devote to the relationship, which I guess at my age wasn't a big deal...? XD

I suppose that's a good reason not to get into a relationship, but I've also found that a lot of people like that just end up having one spring up on them without much notice. Some people may find it nice to have someone to comfort them and whatnot after a long day of work, some may not. If it's not something you think you can put up with much longer, I would suggest you go ahead and tell him to maybe back off a little.

That's very true, it's nice to have someone you can turn to for anything. I guess I'd be up for a relationship, but not with my friend. I hate confrontations but I suppose so he doesn't feel like I'm stringing him along (ha, no pun intended) I need to bring it up sooner rather than later.

I cared about my GPA way too much as well. But high school GPA is over for me, so we won't talk about it. XD

And wow, I always thought you were older than me for some reason. But yeah, I'm going to college this fall, guess I am older than you. That blows my mind for some reason. Like, my lifeguard instructor a while back...she looked and acted like she was out of college...and then I found out she was a year younger than me.

Relationships with friends can be very tricky if they get too serious, otherwise they're fine. I'm guessing this kid isn't the type to take things more casually though. There's always that fear that you could be ruining a great friendship by turning it into a relationship, but sometimes it's a risk worth taking, but...from everything you've said, it doesn't seem to be the type of risk you would want to take. You don't have to talk about it right away, but yeah, the sooner you get it done, the better.

Man, everything is better when you wake up. I was so frustrated last night. Basically what I was whining about was how my close guy friend has a pretty obvious crush on me (or maybe it's just an infatuation, since I'm kind of his "ideal girl") but I want nothing to do with a real relationship, especially one with him. I mean, friends, right? So it's just awkward how he's dropping all of these obvious hints and being real "close" with me and I want him to back off but I don't want to hurt his feelings by actually pointing it out. :disappoin

Awwww. lol I know how that is. Except I'm a guy, so my problem was a girl, but anyway you get it. Walk up & say "Hey I'm glad we're best friends." lol Idk just drop the friend line a lot to give him that hint of you not liking him? Eh, unless he is real persistent, then you'll end up having to hurt him a little. =/ I've had to hurt a few people like that, usually I didn't want to & then other times I got mad & let it fly, but the ones that were friends with me before, stayed friends with me after.
