RIP Shunsuke Ikeda (1941-2010)

Shunsuke Ikeda, best known for playing Ichiroo, the alter-ego of the titular hero of Kikaider 01 (Toei; 1973), has passed away today. He was 68. Details of his death are not yet known.

That's really shocking and sad to read. I saw Ikeda at a convention a few years ago and he was in really good spirits. He was one of those actors who loved meeting the fans. A great, great guy.
