Review: Super Sentai Series Chronicles

I saw an ad for it in a NewType a few months back and for some reason couldn't find it. That and I'd be a little hesitant since these books usually recycle the same old stuff that's been printed before. But, 200+ pages on ten shows sounds like it should cover quite a lot, unlike most of those other sentai book collections.

So, do Changeman and Flashman get good coverage? Those are the ones I'd be interested in most.

^Well, thanks to the book I've been checking out more of Changeman and Flashman and they are both standouts so far. The villains are the real draw for me with the Sentai shows, and both have a pretty cool bunch.

With Flashman, wait until you get to the Alien Hunters. Kaura rocks! And he really heats things up with the show. The idea that the man who was in charge of the Flash five's kidnapping knowing all of the secrets they're dying to know just adds a little something to scenes with them together, especially when those final episodes hit.

I can't think of a more badass scene for a villan than when Kaura and Gardan storm the Labo in episode 48 to beat the hell out of Deuce.

I just picked up this book at Kinokuniya in San Jose this weekend during JTAF(which SUCKED) I also got the Guides for Abaranger and Hurricanger (if any one has a Part one for Dekaranger let me know)

I have the Hurricanger one. I've been meaning to pick up the Abaranger one, but I'm a bit short on cash. Also, the bookstore sells a magazine called "Hyper Hobby", and this months issue has Kabuto on the cover, and comes w/ a Hibiki keychain. It's about $15 including tax.
