Ibuki's Trumpet
Hot damn...I've had this thing for MONTHS now, and I'm JUST getting around to writing a review!
Well I was a trumpet player from the 5th grade all the way though high school so Ibuki just naturally became my favorite Rider in Hibiki.
Ibuki's weapon and belt break down as this.
You have the main gun, the bell (what goes on the belt), and the mouthpiece...
Just like the show, you can attach the mouthpiece to the gun, and go kick some ass...
When the switch is on, and you press the trigger of the gun, you will hear 3 bullets fire (although not as fast as in the show

). You can fire 10 times and then you will hear an 'empty clip' sound until you press one of the valves which "reloads" the gun. The red Oni heads will also light up as well.
Also, while not quite as big as on the show, it still fits into your hand very nicely...
So you can kick ass w/ your trumpet machine gun...but what if you REALLY need to kick some monster ass!?!
First just flip out the mouthpiece...
Then pop the mouthpiece into the back part of the gun...
Now grab the bell, that's attached to your Hibiki belt, flip it in the air, and pop the hatch so it can attach to the gun...
Attach to the gun (you'll also hear a sound when the bell attaches)...
Then pull on the bell, to extend it...and vola! You're trumpet is ready to kick ass!
Now there are a couple of different ways to play the music w/ the trumpet. If you put it up to your mouth, you can push in on the mouth peice, press one of the valves and music will play...or you can press the trigger and then the valve and the same thing will happen.
Pressing Valve 1 will play the long extended note then rise an octive to shatter the big monster.
Pressing Valve 2 plays a little tune that sounds like it should play when Ibuki kicks ass.
Pressing Valve 3 plays a nice little tune that sounds more like a romantic type theme than a kickin' ass one.
Pressing Valves 1&2 or 2&3 doesn't play any new things.
Only downsides to the Trumpet weapon is the Valve 1 sound plays for about 3 seconds before before jumping the octive. I wish it would play the extended not until you released the first valve, that way it'd be more like the show...but it's a toy so what can ya do. Also the 'machinegun' sound isn't as fast as it is on the show.
The other downside is that you really need to also purchase Hibiki's belt in order to put the bell on the belt (as it's not included).
I'd rate this toy as a solid A, due to the slight downsides.
