Repairing bent PVC figures

So I've been getting some HDm figures recently. They're PVC, which means they're kind of prone to weird manufacturer defects:

So yeah, the legs of this figure are pretty badly skewed.

The seller recommended I apply a hair dryer to soften + remold the PVC - Is this a wise move? I've also read in the HDM topic that boiling water can work for things like swords, would that be ok for something like this as well?

Both work. I find the hair dryer method a lot easier.

Just heat the area you need to reshape. After it is heated, just use your figures to bend what you need and run under cold water. The cold will lock in the new shape.

Dont worry, the plastic and paint will not melt.

If you use boiling water, never let the figure touch the sides or bottom of the pot/pan
