Ah Christian paranoia about global conspiracies strikes again. Good to see they want to destroy the planet. I hope they run out of natural resources first.
Wha- :sly: just- huh I don't - WTF?! So it's "sinful" to "SAVE" the earth from possibly harmful TOXIC waste etc? I'm Roman Catholic but I'm not a fucking moron like these people.
Anything to do with the "Religious Right" is usually American Fundamentalist Christians, not Catholics (whom they don't consider to be "real" Christians anyway. :rolleyes2
As the name might suggest, the Religious Right has a lot less to do with religion (or Christ) and a lot more to do with manipulating the existing infrastructure of Christian organizations to achieve expedient political goals.
In this case, the obvious thinking is "people are worried about the environment these days, and people worried about the environment might start voting Democratic. We'd better put a stop to this, by using religious buzzwords to exploit people's natural desire to think everything's okay and not to have to change anything about their current lifestyle."
