Relation between kuuga and agito

So, this is all based off of the S.I.C. Hero Saga? That's glorified fan-fiction, it doesn't count.

Nope, it was based on the mini-encyclopedias. The SIC Hero Saga just reinforces the connection of G3 to Kuuga even though it was stated already in the show that G3 was made to fight the Grongi of Kuuga.

Are you sure you got that information right? I'm pretty sure the linto are meant to be just humanity, not the lords.

That's the impression I had gotten from the material posted in this board before, and the linto references in Decade seemed to follow that idea too.

You're probably correct because it's been long since I've read that info.

Not really a Wiki fan, but out of curiosity, it did state that:

The Lords are a group of powerful disciples serving under the OverLord, who created them from his body. Referred by the police department as Unknown (アンノウン, Annōn?), to differ them from the Unidentified Lifeforms (Grongi Tribe) that attacked humanity two years ago. In fact, according to books and mini-encyclopedias about Kamen Rider Agito, the Lords are actually related to the Linto (リント, Rinto?) tribe, defending them from the Grongi in the past, thus linking the Lords to the Linto as humanity's protectors. This war between the Grongi and Unknown is further explained in Kamen Rider Decade.

The OverLord (オーヴァーロード, Ōbārōdo?) is the highest power among the Unknown, and is referred to as the creator of the human race. Long ago, there existed twin entities of the Linto Tribe; one being the embodiment of light while the other was embodiment of darkness. These twin 'brothers' co-existed in harmony for a time, eventually creating our world. However, neither could agree on who would reign over their creation and a battle for control took place. In the end, the Overlord of Darkness triumphed over his brother, the Overlord of Light. But with his dying breath, the Overlord of Light bestowed his essence upon humanity--the power of Agito--with the hopes that, one day, they would evolve beyond his control. But the Overlord of Darkness refused to let this occur, taking it upon himself to personally eliminate the vessels of Agito, creating the Lords to kill all humans who possess the potential to "evolve" into Agito.

It does state that the Lords are actually related to Linto, though it does directly state that the 2 Overlords (light and darkness) were in-fact "twin entities of the Linto tribe".

Yeah it's Wiki, but IIRC it's content is pretty close to what I can remember.

ok, thanks for all your answers.. then, is the 2 twins overlord, namely the overlord of light and overlord of darkness are the first two linto in the world? i think the main question here now is whether the linto tribe is humans' ancestors or not.. if linto tribe are humans' ancestors, then the two twin overlords in agito must be the first two linto in the world since they created humanity, just like Adam and Eve in the bible..

so, let's discuss, is linto tribe the ancestors of humans or not? if the lords in agito are linto tribe, why they have monsters? how about the linto in kuuga?

I have quite a few of the Agito books and I don't recall there being any mention of this Rinto connection. Rinto's never mentioned in Agito. Kuuga's barely mentioned in the series, period. It's all pretty much just in the first two episodes, and only to set up the G3 side of the story. The last time this topic about the Rinto came up, IIRC, I think even Igadevil once asked for book titles or ISBN codes, and was never met with an answer, so this just seems like a rumor or fan theory gone wild to me.

There's nothing in the Agito series that indicated that the Rinto (which was just the term for plain ordinary humans in ancient times) were connected to the Unknown or the Dark Youth. I think Agito obviously made a conscious choice to break ties with Kuuga, which did end up creating some loose threads in the show, but there's absolutely no reference made to the Rinto. And curious that the Japanese Wikipedia -- which I consider a bit more trustworthy regarding toku -- makes no mention of the Rinto in their Agito article.

Hmmm... That's weird, I remember reading that part about the Lords and Linto before. If you really want to be that critical about it then be my guest, for me it's a Toku show which indeed referenced Kuuga whether it was just shown in 2 episodes, brought up in an official fan-fiction magazine, and was tackled in Decade (as much as he screws with everything). Rumor or not, the show did initially try to establish the connection, and if what you're saying is indeed true that they consciously dropped the idea, then I guess it still remains a fact that Agito was connected to Kuuga. Unless we totally disregard the 1st two episodes like it never happened or it's a flawed storyline hence the small plot hole left.

EDIT: Just read the Japanese Wiki page, yeah it doesn't mention anything about Linto at all... Seems all the Overlord ever was was a reawakened DNA from the relic of the creator of humanity. Now I'm confused...

Anyway, thanks Shougo for the heads-up, it seems the only real connection that's left between Agito and Kuuga was G3.

Did they explain why Unknowns didn't show up to fight Grongi in Kuuga beside the fact the scriptwriter haven't planned for Unknowns yet.

If Agito and Kuuga was indeed connected, I believe that would be one of those mystical questions that can't be answered. Like in the Christian-belief; Why did God allow the Egyptians to die during Moses' Exodus of the Hebrew people, they are humans too you know?
