I've heard of a theory similar to what you're describing before actually. There's actually a pretty big moral question over whether or not Judas should be punished for what he did, considering it kind of had to happen. And one I feel ill equipped to answer.

Just my two cents- The back to earth special wasnt as good as it could have been, but it was good to see the cast again.

Season 10 was amazing, loved every second of it

Super psyched that theres a new season coming, hoping maybe we can see some of the left over plot threads from the novel brought in, like how earth gets made a dump planet for the rest of the solar system because while every other terraformed planet provides something, Earth only provides sentimental value because all of its resources have been used up, so everyone else elects to dump trash on it.

and as for Judas, I always got taught that since the betrayal HAD to happen, and he was filling a needed role, he would have been forgiven, had he not killed himself out of despair for what he'd done. Thats just how it got explained to me as a kid though.

Edit- As for Holly, I dont know if he'll get brought in if only because the problem they had with using Holly during season 5 hasnt gone away, Kryten can fill the exposition role just as well as he/she can, with the bonus of being able to go down to the planets with them.
