I'll have to wait untill December 11th to see it or I'll just wait for the DVD/Blu-Ray if I can't make the time for it. I'm not a big John Woo fan these days, but this does look very promising.

The movie was everything one can look for in a epic journey by, John Woo! I highly recommend anyone and everyone who is a fan of war movies, check this one out in theartes if it's playing in your location.

The movie isn't showing anywhere around here so I have to wait. I heard they were cutting out stuff though so I kinda think I should just go and grab like the Hong Kong version or something. The amount of fictional characters is kinda like, uh, what though.

This film is about as historically faithful as the Patriot.

The novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" the movie is based off of is about as historically faithful as the Patriot, or Tour of Duty, or any other war movie/tv show out there, anyway. So, if it's faithful to the book, that's sort of good enough.

As long as Zhou Yu beats Cao Cao at the battle, that is all that really matters to be faithful to history.

At the end of the battle, Zhou Yu declares that there is no victor (even though we clearly know who won the battle). Zhou Yu lets Cao Cao walk away.
