Forever Knight
Eye See You
From Variety:
Character and voice actor Bob Papenbrook died March 17 from complications arising from a chronic lung condition. He was 50.
A memorial service will be held Friday, 1:00 p.m. at the House of Champions, 17228 Saticoy St., Van Nuys.
Born in San Diego, Papenbrook performed in more than 200 movies, TV shows, plays, videogames, radio, and commercial spots. He did voices for numerous Japanese shows and films, including "Power Rangers," "VR Troopers," "Digimon," and "Cowboy Bebop." He also appeared on TV shows including "Boston Public," "The Chronicle," and "JAG."
He taught martial arts for 10 years, serving as a kickboxing coach.
He is survived by his life companion, Debbie Rothstein; son Bryce, a voice actor; his mother and father and a brother.
(He was credited on the various Saban series as Bob Pappenbrook and, of course, is known by most of us as the voice of Rito Revolto on Power Rangers and Shadow Borg on BeetleBorgs, among other characters.)
This is seriously a sad moment for the old school PR fans. He was an awesome voice actor. :bawling:
