Punisher Warzone - Talkback

It's Judgement Time!
Will they just stop already. The John Travolta movie wasnt that great. Now the commercials for this new one look absolutely terrible. It doesnt look like it will be good at all. They are just doing a worse job than last time. Why are they wasting the money? :eyebrow:

I'm actually looking forward to this. This is opening weekend material for me REGARDLESS of how it turns out. This looks like the most faithful adaptation of Frank Castle so far. We finally get the Central Park massacre origin story, he's not a ex-cop finally, it takes place in NY, we have a villain from the comics finally too, a cast of unique actors ranging from Dominic West to Wayne Knight (no goddamn Travolta), and the body count looks ridiculous.

Here's a couple reviews from people saying they actually liked it.

I really liked the Thomas Jane Punisher. Especially the Directors Cut version of the film. While I'll miss Thomas Jane in the roll of Frank, I'll defantly go see Punisher Warzone.

I still hold the Dolph Lungdren Frank Castle as my favorite. He really nailed down the character, especially with the "Dead inside" look he has in his eyes.

I'm going to see Warzone this weekend, one of the late revisions of the screenplay has Frank doing some serious crazy **** like...

I'm increasingly starting to believe that they've taken the right approach to the Punisher story and I might actually pay to see this.

But there's still one part that I'm really not fond of: I'm just not buying into Ray Stephenson as Frank Castle. He just looks like a third-rate Stephen Segall wannabe.
