PS3 getting MK, PoP HD Collections

Kotaku

Confirming two rumors, Box art for the new Mortal Kombat and Prince of Persia collections are surfaced. Both seem to support 3D on supporting 3DTV's.

The Mortal Kombat HD Kollection will have the Arcade versions of Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat III, as well as a Demo for the Mortal Kombat Reboot coming next year.

Prince of Persia Trilogy 3D will contain the Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones.

Ubisoft is also rumored to be working on a new Splinter Cell Collection for the PS3 that has the original Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory.

It looks like repacking PS2 games and uprezing them on the PS3 is becoming a fad, what with the God of War Collection, the upcoming Sly Cooper and Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD game packs.

That's the great Idea Sony did since The PS2 will soon die.

maybe in my opinion it's done while the emulator for it is in the works, to be released in the future. that will keep PS3 users who want to play PS2 games on their PS3's busy until the emulator comes out.

I own the Deception Kollector's Edition, Midway Arcade Treasures 2, and Armageddon Kollector's Editon already; however, I'd love to purchase this as well. I just hope you'll be able to fight smoke in MK2, save the unlocked characters in UMK 3, and fix any lag or music glitch the had plagued the games in the prior rereleases. :\

P.S. MK9 Demo FTW !! :D :castlerock:

Now if SE can get off there asses and give people the two most requested Re-packed collections, One for Kingdom Hearts with the Final Mix Versions and RE:Chain of memories, and one for Final Fantasy X, X-2 and XII, they can make fairly easy money.

how to help support popgeeks, popgeeks, pop geeks
